  • Oum El Ghaït Benessahraoui, better known as Oum, is a Moroccan singer-songwriter. Considered an ambassador of Moroccan culture, she mixes hassani, jazz, gospel, soul, afrobeat and Sufi music influences in her songs.

    this song captures the african amazigh soul of morocco perfectly you should listen to lik by oum also a cool song
    the language is a mix of some sort of amazigh or berber language ( its the language of the indigenous people of north africa) , moroccan arabic darija, and the hassani arabic dialect of the sahara

    the castagnettes were actually copied from the 800 rule of Muslims / Moroccans in Spain. so a lot of influences there also in their flamenco music and way of flamenco singing
