Thanks for watching! :3'
Is nu metal, is not considered extreme metal. Is a fusion of genres like funk, hip hop or grunge but with heavy riffs and breakdowns.
That's one heck of a fusion!
And has some of the most darkest (in terms of reality like KoЯn "Daddy") lyrics in the metal world.
@@shaggystoner5235 in the music world, not just metal
Nu metal is some of the most meaningful metal, bands like Slipknot, linkin park, Korn, Mudvayne, System Of A Down, Disturbed etc. put so much emotion into their music.
@Tane Rameka I consider them to be Nu metal because most of their albums are Nu Metal and they surfaced (No pun intended) in 1999 when Nu Metal was about to reach it's peak (Because in 1999 Incubus put out their album Make Yourself, Woodstock 99 which featured bands like KoRn, Sevendust and Limp Bizkit, Slipknot put out their self title in 99 and one year later Disturbed and Linkin Park would put out their albums known as The Sickness and Hybrid Theory) The band's first three albums had a very obvious Nu Metal sound with all of the guitars being tuned in either D or drop D. Slipknot started getting more into a new sound during the All Hope Is Gone days because they wanted to explore new sounds. I still classify Slipknot as Nu Metal even tho their current music doesn't sound like Nu Metal. It's the same case with Linkin Park and many other bands from that period.
It's more or less Nu Metal - which is, at its core, pretty much a hybrid of hip-hop & metal. Even though Korn & SOAD are contemporaries, Korn had much earlier success and are generally seen as 'pioneers' of the genre.
Additionally, Jonathan was a DJ in the earliest years of Korn and he knows a lot about hip-hop because of that background.
@@XShadoumonsutaX He never was a DJ, He was a hip hop fan that got hip hop influcences.
@@TheIcpfan23 look up jdevil
@@billrobertjoe Yea your right bro my bad
SOAD's first album came in 98, KoRn's first album came in 94, you can see the influence KoRn had in them
The totally monumental bass of Fieldy is what to me makes Korn so great
The bassist Billy Gould from FNM way better in my opinion but fieldy barbaric slapping keeps Korn energy going 😆 the drums and catchy guitar riffs keep Korn worth listening too and JD emotions also. :)
@@letrasdemedianoche5575 not as horrible as your spelling.
@@letrasdemedianoche5575 From your spelling it looks like your mom did too.
His bass is amazing!
love him but theres no fieldy without flea.
Love how she's still singing blind 3 songs later. Adorable!
It makes it pretty obvious that she's never heard Blind (except maybe that bit in the Charlie's Angels movie...) since she didn't know when it ended. I love her enthusiasm.
@@revwroth36981st time I heard blind was at the end of the street fighter 2 animated movie
I like how she actually watches more than one song from their Woodstock performance
Yet I think she thinks it’s all one song 🤣
I was waiting to se how far she went before she realized it's more than one song... Lol
That "not english" is kinda' Johnathans signature thing, it's like a growling beatbox. Have yet to hear any other band do anything like it unless to cover their songs.
Dude, name of this scatting, and it's not signature thing, just search what means scatting
"They're moshpitting" lmfao my beer shot out my nose when I heard that 🤣
I know! she's adorable, lol.
You wouldn’t see that at a kpop concert

yes, he's wearing a kilt.
That's one heck of a kilt.
What is Kilt ?
the energy of concerts in the 90s, no cellphones, i mean, i appreciate them and being able to share the experience of going to a concert NOW that i'm old... lol... but i'm so glad i grew up without a care in the world and actually LIVED every concert i went to as a teenager and in my early 20s (1993-2005) ... i LOVE your reaction and it makes me so happy seeing younger people discovering how awesome music was back then too! also, you're just the cutest thing! much love from Mexico!
Loved your reaction to what was technically 3 separate songs.
Hope you do more Korn. :)
Metal is very diverse. It can be anything from slow and methodical to extremely fast and aggressive. Korn falls kind of in the middle of those two imo but they're definitely not a fast band.
Marilyn Manson is great when you see the lyrics, Coma White and The Dope Show are two good examples that beginners can get into.
Damn right. Coma white is beautiful
I second this
Try some classic Nine Inch Nails pretty much their best best album still Pretty Hate Machine from Halloween 1989 the songs Sin, Sanctified, Ringfinger, Terrible Lie and Head Like a Hole being favorites
Finally!!! Korn is my favorite band. I was sure you will enjoy it.
You actually guessed it right at the start, when you said it sounded like hip-hop. They are a Nu Metal band, which is exactly that, a mix between heavy metal and Hip Hop.
And btw, you reacted to 3 songs in a row, that was Blind, Twist and Chi one after the other hahaha You thought the last song, chi, was still part of blind xD
Lol most casual response to gunfire ever 😂
I literally waited for your reaction to the woodstock crowd (3:09) and its worth it! 😀
awesome video as always! ❤️
Awwh thank you!😘 Glad u enjoyed it😍
thank you too! I wanted to see how amazed you were while watching that part! best part ever! ❤️
I love that part so much, literally my favorite concert to watch
lol did 3 different songs .. Blind.. Twist and Chi Korn changed the game in music labeled "Nu metal" .. Check out Deftones "My Own Summer" or "Be Quiet and Drive"
My heart skips a beat when she says: so without further a due, let's get started.
The cutest intorduction ever.
Awwwh 🙈❤️
no phones!!!!! Beautiful
What makes that performance so special and incredible is that crowd.... that amazing awesomely reacting crowd!
Hard Rock/Heavy Metal is one of the most diverse genres of music with a spaghetti plot of sub-genres going back to the 1960's. Korn and Limp Bizkit are more hip-hop inspired bands that got popular in the 90's.
Limp Bizkit? I remember people telling me not to react to them..I wonder why
My favorite from the nu-metal genre was, and still is, Nonpoint.
@@chrisbergsten1429 not so terrible as everyone sais...
@@GiddyKitty please react to Limp Bizkit !!
I liked the whole album significant other and not much else from Limp Bizkit...
Look at the crowd, It's like waves.....
Nearly died laughing at that reaction😂😂😂😂😂
I love this, great reaction, I know I’m a tad late but korn reactions are really fun to watch, but this one is too notch, ESPECIALLY because you reacted to the Woodstock 99 concert
6:54 Well this is metal
I loved freak on a leash.
I'll give it a listen for sure 😊
Me to bro...
That song is fucking timeless
React to the Jinjer-Pisces Live Session
Im always a KORN fan ever since my childhood 90's...new subscriber here
I love your reaction! I’m glad you liked this so much. These guys were the first band I got into in my childhood (first album I ever bought was Korn’s first album).
Your peeps are looking out for you by not suggesting Daddy yet. I COMPLETELY agree even though I enjoy the song and promote awareness of its message. But I gotta say being blindsided by that song as a 13 year old greatly upset me to where I couldn’t listen to it again for like 4 years. It’s that harrowing. It’s worth listening to absolutely but it will REALLY affect you to put it lightly.
Just a quick heads up though you listened to 3 different songs. Blind ended after he screamed “IM BLIND.”
That growling song you heard is called Twist. After it switched back to non growling lyrics that song is called Chi.
Blind is from their first album (called Korn). Twist and Chi are the first two songs from their second album: Life is Peachy.
✨The things you do for us... You are a treasure ✨
Awwh thank youu😘❤️
🙂
As soon as you said ‘daddy’ at the beginning I was like oh no.. oh god no
This makes me smile. Korn is still badass 20 + years later.
6:34
"What is that ?? is that English??"
Lol !!!
Btw..
فيديو حلو .. موفقة.
Devin Townsend - Kingdom from EMGtv
Oh, YES, PLEASE
Nah it's too early she's not ready yet to fully enjoy and understand how great he is :p
Thank you! Yes, I’m on my phone for RUclips all the time.
Ah yess.. i like live Korn more than studio version. Good reaction.
Thank you ❤️ yea I love the energy in their performance
Every metal and Rock bands go hard.
awesome tune awesome hair awesome fun vid k pop princess x
Thank youuu😘😘😘
3 songs deep... Say blind!! Love it
I was there best time of my life
Your Instagram peeps are looking out for you. Daddy is intense, to put it very mildly.
Nice reaction as always :D keep it up!
Your reaction to gun shots means you'd fit in over here in Oakland, Cali
do KILLPOP by slipknot
Twist uses that hip hop Reggae thing but with more rasp. No words. Jonathan likes to do that from time to time.
Daddy is the best video/ song you could react to
Also check out their song Dead Bodies Everywhere. It’s about the lead singers time working in a morgue.
Oh wow..my heart sank just a little
For the 3d song's chorus he sings "sick of the same old thing so i dig a hole to bury pain"
The sound of gunfire, off in the distance, I've gotten used to it now
Your reactions are adorable. I would love to see you react to Devin Townsend , " Stormbending " . A beautiful and epic song with an unforgettable video. Devin's music is a wall of sound that touches your soul and brings out so many emotions. I think you would enjoy it.
Awwh thank you!❤️ I really like how u described their music, I'll check them out!
Love Korn in Woodstock 99. Brings back a lot of memories.
I've just discovered you. You're reactions are cute. 😎
I love the super up-beat music as there's gunshots going off in the background XD
They were celebratory gunshots though :(
@@GiddyKitty oh, well that's completely different then!! Lol
“Everybody get your fucking ASS up in the air!!” lmao
Shows like this are thing of a past never to be seen again. When concerts were awesome. No cell phones
Great reaction! More please! Try The Agonist - Panaphobia! The Agonist is from Canada. Their original lead singer (Alissa White-Gluz) is now the lead singer of Arch enemy.
6:53 😍😍😍😍😍😍 you are gorgeous giddy kitty...you always make me smile..."opeth deliverance live" is a good live performance
Woman, you need to listen to Type O Negative. A few good songs to start with are:
Christian Woman
Love You To Death
Cinnamon Girl
Hope you react to them! One of my own personal favorite bands, it would be awesome to hear your thoughts.
(Edit: Typos)
I'm type O positive 😊
Haha will keep them in mind thank you ❤️
Thank you for reminding me that Type O Negative exists. They are excellent, but I haven't listened to them in a long time. Now I have to go and correct that.
LEGENDARY
Check Limp Bizkit's Break Stuff live at Woodstock 99
Now she knows the REAL music.
Ah, the ol' sneak the Twist in the Blind trick. I see you Korn. :)
Glad this video extended past Blind into Twist and Chi so you could hear Jonathan Davis' jiberish metal growl scatting. That's something that's very unique to him, I don't think I've heard a singer try to replicate it.
When you do Freak on a Leash you should totally do the music video. Such an iconic video with a really cool meaning to it.
It's weird how he manged to make complete jiberish sound like a legit language xD
& Will do 😊
"Put your ass up in the air!"
YOU! NAUGHTY, NAUGHTY, NAUGHTY! :'DD
Johnathon Davis, the lead singer, has always said he sees the band as funk-metal, not nu-metal like they were labeled as shortly after breaking through. I get what nu-metal is, and I agree they are that, but to me Davis is right and funk-metal is what they are at their core. Funk includes hip-hop, but is not limited to just that. Korn is an enormous amalgamation of styles and genres. That being said, they're not the typical metal you've probably heard, so funk-metal is the best category to put them in. Great reaction video, thank you, I'm definitely going to have to check more of your channel out.
Yes he wears a kilt hes scott plus hes a badass bagpipe player and singer
can you please react to DragonForce - Through The Fire And Flames (Official Video)
Turn the sign of microcosm
Burzum! burzum! burzum! Burzum!
Excellent video! You are the best:)
Thank youu 😘❤️
Plz react to adidas by korn. Especially the music video. Glad u like korn
Nobody has recommended this song before..
@@GiddyKitty freak on a leash is great too but adias is my favorite
I LOVE YOU HAHAHAHAHAH
The best reaction
Thanks
Metal as so many subgenres that's why a lot of metal bands sound different
I think he's making a play on the term blind rage...like getting so mad you blackout and go nuts
We got 3 songs instead of just 1, it is a good day :D
And I didn't even know it lol😂
The second song is called Twist.... Jon sings in a sort of "scat" vocals.... No true language there thats what make that song so crazy. Its the intro of their 2nd record
those days are over never again
See SLIPKNOT Live in DOWNLOAD!!!
Korn rocks and daddy is not for the faint of heart
Everyone get your asses up in the air..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Let's rewind that.... oh HANDS IN THE AIR.
Jonathan Davis, the lead singer is of Scottish ancestry. He is proud of this and in the song Shoots and Ladders he opens the song with a bagpipe
I was there... right on the rail...
What you're hearing is somebody fluent in gibberish when you asked what language it was
Try to react Motionless in white - voices
You actually react to 3 songs xD. Blind is only until he start to make sounds. That sounds is for "Twist", and after that, it's a song called "chi". by the way, korn is a band who started the "nu metal", a mix of metal and hip hop culture.
That's what I read!! Haha didn't even know that 😂
This genre of music is called “Nu Metal.” It’s made up of metal, hard rock, And ‘90s gangster rap and hip-hop. That’s why it’s heavy, groovy, and funky all at the same time.
She has no idea what she's watching....
She really understands Nu Metal great job!
Yes Johnathan Davis does wear kilts and tracksuit all the time except only for shows
Dude I remember this, I think a bunch of fires and a little rioting happened after lorn came out
He’s scatting in his own unique way
Korn made this type of music, they were way before "system of a down".
they released their first album like 4 years before soad and formed one year before soad
(she liked it!) and that's when it turns into popKorn
Hes not speaking a language hes just making cool sounds.
The part where you dont understand the lyrics is called scat :)
Lol she went straight into the deep end with this one. This show was fucking lit. Probably best of whole concert
You actually reacted to 3 songs blind, twist and chi
Major stonk right there
Nobody:
Johnathan Davis: "ummbrrrapaskimabraapa umbmmbrappa"
The Father of Nu Metal🤘🤘🤘
In certain songs, the lead singer Jonathan Davis will also play the bagpipes to go along with the music lol try to song Shoots and Ladders
Kpop is my fav metal band :)
