Nice dude!!! Having a brewery out of the garage, and in a separate building or shed in your case is a dream! Can’t wait to see what you do with it, cheers Dan 🍻
That's pretty fun! Projects are great! My recommendation to make things a lot easier is the kegland fill-o-meter or something like that. It isn't necessary, but I use it a ton to get metered water for the brew or cleaning/sanitizing. Cheers!
Just got recommended you, definitely excited to see you rework this shed! Before you do anything major, it'd be fun to experiment and do something like a open fermentation in the shed. See what funky flavors it has within all that dust!
Welcome aboard! That’s a rad idea! Unfortunately in real time I’m already up and running and it’s a bit too cold this time of year to capture good yeast. But I think we’ll need to get some wild yeast experiments going when the weather is right! Usually spring and fall
Floor drain is nice to have. I also really appreciate my (home-made) hot/cold water supply. Made it tri-clamped, and with a controller that you can tell how much you want. Type in "60" and click a button to fill the kettle with 60L of cold water to start the brewday. When it's sparging time - turn down the pressure and type "20" to sparge with 20L of water. Saves a lot of waiting and measuring!
Congrats man. I just finished the build of my dream workshop + home brewery up in the mountains. It's been a 3 year project, thousands of hours of work, but it's a dream to brew in there and I hope to have it for life. When you get to do that first brew day it's awesome.
Love the possibilities you have with the new space. Looks a little bit smaller than the garage but if you get it right, and I expect you will, you will end up with a highly efficient brew space. Looking forward to watching the build. Cheers.
Coool. I’m building out my garage brewery now and the most important thing to me has been the sink location - getting it plumbed with a proper drain and hot water source. Plug I added to the back splash accessory hot and cold valves with QDs and a QD for a drain out I can pump to. REALLY helps the brew day work flow… well in think I haven’t brewed yet! Got all the ideas and hardware from Bobby at brewhardware.
Nice one! What an exciting project. I can't wait to finish mine, but really enjoyed the process. I'm sure you will enjoy it too! Make sure to show us what you're working on 😁
Good luck on the new build! Gotta say, I love the Matilda Bay tap handle. Not sure if you're old enough to have ever had any, but my buds and I lived on that sh!t in high school.... some 35-odd years ago. 😂
I get a lot of comments on that tap handle! I haven’t had it but I looked into it a couple years ago and the original owner actually revived it in 2019. I’d love to get my hands on some of their beer!
@@HopsANDgnarly Actually, that tap handle you have isn't from the brewery of the same name, it's for Matilda Bay wine cooler, which was an uncarbonated drink popular for a few years in the late 80's. It came in gallon bota boxes, with a pour spout (which fit conveniently on the shelf in my locker in HS, perfect for a splash between classes, lol). They had their regular fruit flavor, then came out with the "Special Dry". They quit making it in about 1990. ruclips.net/video/NrIQSUTbjzU/видео.html
Hey man!! The garage brewery was amazing, and the new place has a lot of potential, I'm excited to see how you customize it!! The guys at The Craft Beer Channel converted a similar shed into a brewery as well, I think theirs is a bit smaller, but maybe you can get some ideas from their videos. Anyway, cheers!!
we are twins! I too have a home brewery in the foothill here in CO! only difference is I don't make YT content, just beer! Cheers from somewhere along the foothills!
Good luck! Youre a big inspiration to me and my aspiring brewtube channel. You've given me so many great ideas and motivation to get started. Can't wait to watch all your new adventures! Cheers!🍻🍻

I appreciate that! More to come!
I'm going to follow your build, I have a 12'x10' shed in the back that I'm very eager to convert to something useful as well 😅
I think that's the exact dimensions of mine. Wait until you see what I've jammed in here!
I don't envy the amount of work that will be going into your new brewery. I can't find to see how it all turns out. Cheers 👍 🍻

Yep, Columbus

Love that sign!
Didn't realize you were from/lived in Columbus!
Yep grew up there and went to OU
I got some whiplash there... I figured you were quitting the game!
