Dynamic render scale does the same as render scale, which may just cause FPS to completely tank due to a bug with render scale itself. This works only for some users.
@@linaori Yeah didn't want to overcomplicate the video. Dynamic works in tandem with the targeted framerate so you're not always stuck at a static scale. I've still not seen many reports outside of the one person here that wasn't just affected by using anything besides FSR, so it's weird. I know "it works on my PC" isn't a valid thing to say so I did a lot of testing with these settings and others to make sure they were actually reproducible on my system and never tried to labe this as a fix. This main FPS drop has been around since DF with certain spell effects and was only made worse in TWW. I'm hoping a real fix comes out.
@@coildomainwow I actually just tested with FSR back on (switched to point as you said) it is much better but extremely odd. I am getting random particles and screen tear near my minimap lol
@@theoletigeronaskateboardtrick I'm pretty sure I didn't miss any extra CVARs while testing, I must have done 5 different tests 2x with each setting so I thought I had them down in the video. I'd have to see a screenshot, but I'd think if they're 3D particles that they are rendered smaller causing them to be pixelated. What did you set your target refresh rate to? Maybe it's not good to do above 60. Thanks for the feedback!
@@coildomainwow I tried switching my monitor to 60hz and 60 FPS and same going to 144hz and 144 FPS matching. Not working seems to be case by case for now I guess.

Doing this dropped my FPS to 12-16, specifically when turning the dynamicrenderscale to 1 from 0. Not for everyone!
You aren't using FSR as the scaling method are you? This is interesting.
