When i saw your blog, it feels like seeing me in yours because i bought a breville machine about five years ago just to practice latte art like you. Now i’m about to buy a rocket machine as well. The bad thing about breville is take so long to steam the milk and for rocket is take so long to heat the machine up. Nice video and latte art!
Great vid! I’ve had a Gaggia Classic Pro for a short while and want to upgrade. Do you think the Rocket is the way to go or is there something else in the similar price range you would go for now?
I wish I had the option to not raise pressure so early. I have a 2 gr e61 volumetric, 0-9 bar in 5 ish seconds and that's that.😂Fiorenzato Fenice. A cheaper restaurant espresso option in the 2000's. I think she's cute(in a steam-punky kinda way), but can't compete with most modern baristas tongues.
Instead of flushing, I put a cool damp cloth on the group head to lower the temp to around 90.5. When I start the shot, it’ll shoot up to 94 then stabilize at 93 (which is good for the coffee I use). I think the temp would be a degree lower at the puck. I found that flushing uses way too much water (you could flush up to 2 cups if your machine temp is at 99 when left idling for a while). From my experience, the temp will also continue to drop a bit more after you finish flushing so timing the start of the shot becomes key. You’d have to wait for the temp to recover if you miss the window.
Yup it’s magnetic and I think it’s a lot better than normal ones. It actually stays on when you leave it in the grinder and it’s not flimsy when you tap
@@cuppabeans hey there, where did you get your dosing funnel? it looked like you didn’t have any trouble with leaving the portafilter on the specialita for hands free grinding which is great
Pls don't freeze coffee beans, coffee has high absorbency of odor and moist, Every time you open this jar, because of temperature a lot of moist forms, then absorbed every time. It's ok to put them in refrigerator and keep them for years, but when you open it, you should use it within 2 days.
Nice suggestion! But wouldn’t the fridge environment hold much more humidity and odours than a freezer? Freezing actually works for me, I barely have to make grind adjustments over the week compared to storing it outside. I just make sure my batches are not too big so I only open/close a few times before refilling.
@@cuppabeans OP had a point! Qhat i do is just buy fresh beans with recent roast date from like Costco. Throw the whole bag in the freezer and then pull it out to thaw the night before and then it's ready to use. No need to refreeze bean cause it then it slowly ruins the integrity of the bean and introduces moisture and whatnot. Still rocking that Appartmento? I'm having a great time with Silvia pro X Looking good brother hope life is treating you well
The appartamento alone is about 2000? The grinder is probably 500 and with the tools, good scale etc, I could easily see how this turns out to be 3500. Especially considering custom bottomless portafilter aswell.

Nice latte art! And you’ve got a great setup. Great video.
My Rocket Espresso machine is on it's way, expecting delivery tomorrow! (6/3/23)
What is the grinder you have mate? Do you rate it?
It's a Eureka Mignon Specialita. 👍🏼 I've been doing a lot of research and will be getting one soon myself, that's how I recognised it.
Which Coffee Beans are you using bro
I just purchased the rocket caught on sale for 1700❤❤❤

What was the temp reading? Needing any cooling flushes?

No pre-infusion?
Nice video :) What kind of beans you use? Look so good :) Thank you so much
Is your dosing funnel magnetic? About to buy one and not sure to get a magnetic one or not.

@@cuppabeans thanks for the reply! Will buy a magnetic one for sure. Just got myself a Mozzafiato Evo R yesterday, Rocket is the way to go.
@@Gamblor24 Woow that’s nice! Enjoy the good coffee to come!

@@cuppabeans How does frozen coffee impact extraction?
@@Mike_Genisys apparently not that much, there are videos out there, one from James Hoffmann that explains that freezing is okay

3500? ah, in US it might be more expensive. In EU its worth about 2000

Yo great video bro. Can I have the coffee machine?
Only if you can lift it
You need a smart plug, (Wi-Fi)
