I'm Indonesian. I used to watch Indian movies with my ex because she loved it so much. So out of curiosity I want to know more about Indian actors. Couldn't help notice so many beautiful actresses commited suicide.... My logical question is of course why so many? Something fishy is going on in the world of Indian cinema.......Did those who died by suicide refused to give their bodies so as to get important roles?
the reason behind it is of course all different from person to person. i searched it up and what i understood is, its most because of unemployment which leads to not pursuing dreams (as in this case of acting) which damages mental health in a way that it unfortunately can end up with committing suicide…. this was a huge problem when the lockdown started and towards the end… but this problem has never really disappeared. its just straight up sad… i really believe that its about longing after something for so long - working 24/7 for it and then not getting it fulfilled. but who knows…
its the greatest sadness that all these people died… we will continue to look back at their impactful work and remember who they were❤. the saddest part might be the amount of actors and actresses who died by committing suicide…. every death reason has sorrow but none compare to a self willing death. it’s terrifying as a human being that we can have this much power over living that sometimes we choose to un@live ourselves. this shouldn’t be a solution to end pain. it shouldn’t be an option at all. thus it happens everyday - every 40 seconds someone in the world dies from committing. compared to 2018 the rate of commitments has increased over 27% in India… REACH OUT if you ever have these thoughts and talk to somebody and tell them how you feel. you might not feel this way, but you are so important and valid. Managing all the call sheets, bank account, taking advances from producers to do films even without allowing to read the whole screenplay. Delaying their marriage so that they could milk more money.
