My uncle Warrant Officer KGS Everett was on President Kruger for a long time , he was an electrician at the time , I remember they used to take us kids out in the bay and would actually allow us to steer the ship for a few minutes , they would also drop a few depth-charges as a demonstration - those were the days , most unforgettable memories .
