How did you refuel while cooking? Did you preheat coals and add it when they were all fired up. Our dod you add cold coals directly into the barrel while chicken was inside barrel?
And that was brand new. They run hot the 1st few cooks. Had my OG PBC for 6 years and have had 15hr cooks on it on one basket! It is a great no nonsense cooker man!
With the intake at sea level and the rebar in it is designed to run 250-300ish. Take one or more rebar out it burns hotter. Open the intake more and hotter yet. Close intake all the way (still a crack there, does not close completely) and plug rebar holes with foil or magnets for a lower temp. I do not do any of that though. Just run it per instructions and check the meat once in a while with a thermo pen. The barrel is designed for "set it and forget it" style of cooking.
Rebar holes are the exhaust. Runs consistently 250-300. It was designed this way. If you want hot and fast just take out a rebar or 2 or crack the lid. Check out pitbarrelcooker.com
How to ___ ? Like smoke something how to? It would be my pleasure. What would you like to see? I smoke all the time and there are so many vids out there but I could record something if you would like.
@@daniel17319 The Pit Barrels are "set it and forget it" type smoker grills. Runs +/- 275* but some mod for temp control. The OKJ Broncos have dampeners to allow low and slow.
Rebar had a special place in our existence
People just don’t know hanging split chickens is amazing!
I’m gonna share this to all my bbq friends, great shots man!!! 😁
You ever used the BNB charcoal briquettes? They last a very long time
My fave but hard to get up here.

Just pulled a rod out and added some coals. You can preheat if you like but I did not this time.
Thanks
Is this the 22.5 in diameter
9 hours before you had to put more charcoal/wood.? Man thats awsome, really thinking about getting one of these pit barrels

@@djhip awsome thanks
I just received my PBX yesterday. Ima smoke some ribs in it tomorrow before I throw a turkey in on thanksgiving. Wish me luck.
Good luck man! But you do not need it. You are going to love it! Made a practice turkey (14.5lbs) last weekend. Was perfect!
How you control temp and airflow ?

What do you think is max in it for chicken? I’ve the 18 or med size one and it’s 4. You have 6 in it now.
Says 12-16 halves on the website.
Damn hell yeah 👍
Bro wtf! lol you could open your own HEB with a haul like that.
🤣
9 hours. I can get 11-13 hours on the normal pit barrel. Is the basket the same size?
It was 1st cook man. Ran hotter. Yesterday's butt it was at 12hrs on one basket when I went to bed. Too hot to put it in the garage still!
I have to do a bunch of chicken for a charity next week and I'll be using the PBX. How long did it take for those 6 to get done?
I believe it was about 2.5ish hrs. Do not remember exactly but I know it went over 2 but not over 3hrs.
How do you maintain temperature without any exhaust?

Which dolly is that
Amazon 50 gal dolly
Where can I find the wheels for that grill you have
Amazon. 30 gallon drum dolly for the PBC or 50 gallon drum dolly for the PBX.
Chinese style bro, they've been doing this for ages, Siu Yuk (Roasted Pork).
Do you have a link to the wheels for the PBX?

@@djhip I want to build one, I'm a welder. I been looking for plans. Can you slow smoke or is this more of a grill. Thanks

@@djhip do you do any smoking in it low and slow? Or mainly grilling. I want to roast some chicken.
That black paint must give the food an amazing flavor after a 9 hour smoke!
Its not painted inside. Genius.
Paint is only on the outside. The inside is plain metal until it is cooked in.
F@@stevelancaster6303food grade 👍 some ppl not worth the time bro
Hocam is kokmazmi bu şekilde
Weird the PBX is on sale at corporate and it is cheaper than the medium size one, that seems weird.
