Yes. I also will never forget them and do miss seeing them together on the ice. They were sublime p, pure poetry in motion. But they are now part of the history of pairs ice skaters. Vanessa has recently come out of retirement after being released by France. She is now skating for Canada with pairs skater Eric Radford and they are aiming for the 2020 Olympics. I wish Vanessa success in this next chapter

I understood that they had not always been the "Goliath's of Figure Skating" that they are today. One question: What years please? All of us have our moments; some years are better than others, but seriously? This piece is from 2012 and it was A BEAST of a performance!!! They have always KILLED IT!!! They just hung around, KILLING IT, long enough for the industry to finally give in to admitting it! There has NEVER been a stronger figure skating team....EVER! PERIOD!!!

The amazing skating, the costumes..the music, and knowing now in 2019/2020 with your continued hard work and dedication you are getting the recognition that you deserve! They have now moved on individually with their personal and professional life. I wish them well individually in all aspects of their life going forward.
Women like to imagine romance. do you realize Morgan was a star in France and could have had any woman he choose romantically? Vanessa was lucky to have hi. as a partner he helped build her career and she became a better skater. Then of course ahe betrayed him in the end. Some romance heh ?

Pam Weinmann - Hi. This performance was in 2012 2 years into their partnership. Yes Vanessa and Morgan were good and won many medals nationally for France. However, after many years they were still not winning on the international platform. They became disillusioned from allways being so close to winning but always remaining just off the podium. They decided that if they did not start winning internationally then they would hang up their skates. Furthermore, that if they were going to reach the heights in the profession they needed higher levels of training, more expert coaching and choreographers. Vanessa was aged 28 and Morgan aged 24 and they felt they had no time to lose. So they found John Zimmerman in 2016 who they felt could take them to the next level in elite class of skating/performance. Vanessa and Morgan stated in an interview in 2018 that in moving to Florida, changing their style and whole approach, they beame their authentic selves instead of 'acting' the part on ice. On moving to Florida to John Zimmerman and Silva Fontana, training with a different team of elites, they found their unique style which allowed them to be themselves. As Vanessa stated that what the audience saw of them on the ice was not acting but genuinely showing themselves how they truly are with each other on and off the ice. They certainly made a excellent decision and choice because they realised their dream in become one of the best pairs team and also made France proud and put them once again on the world map/stage
@@shirleygravesande5421 thank you for your reply and explanation. But those elite coaches also put them in a very serious situation that ended their careers. I know Morgan made a mistake, I truly believe it was a mistake, but he was put in that situation by one of those elite coaches.

I am so saddened about that whole situation. All round poor choices made and have impacted many lives and careers. Vanessa and Morgan were blessed with a divinely God given gift and tallent. Together they were beautiful, magnificent, skilled. Just sheer potery on the ice. I miss seeing together. I do not believe they will skate together again. They are now on different paths. It was too soon for them to have give up on their ultimate dream. What a waste. Stay safe and well Pam.🙏🏽
