This is such a great and smart idea 💡 People would be surprised to know that journals and coloring books still sell to this day and not even is it for children but grown adults get for themselves or their elderly parents. It’s amazing 🤩
I have some coloring pages but only 3 not enough to make a coloring book from my children book I wrote and published.

@@andrejohn4216 I use Canva Pro. There are a ton of free images in Canva that you can still get access to using the free version but I prefer using Canva Pro since you get to use more advanced features and a wider variety of graphics.
Please as per the dimensions used here for 40pages.
Can the same dimensions of 8.5 by 11 used for a colouring book of 80 pages?
Hello there Betsy! The dimensions will most likely be different. You will need to use either the Bookow or Amazon book calculator to figure out your book dimensions based on those pages. But to make it easier for you, with those numbers, your cover will be 17.43 X 11.25 and interior (with bleed) is 8.625 X 11.25. Best of luck!

What if you don't have a publishing company? What would you put there to replace it?
You can put your name there or a fictitious name as well. As long as you dont add things like XYZ Notebooks or The Best Journal Publishing you are good to go. Your name should sound organic

I was wondering when uploading your interior pages to Amazon KDP I was wondering why do you put a picture on every other page instead of every page
Great question. Its to make sure the colors dont bleed through the pages when people color on them. Basically you’re creating single sided pages

Hey there! Nope you dont have to use graphics from Creative Fabrica at all if you have Canva Pro. Canva Pro has a ton of different graphics that you can use on your designs. The main reason that I use Creative Fabrica is because they have a larger database of different designs that may not be available in Canva for specific types of projects like Coloring books and etc. Hope this helps :-)

Where is part 2
After you have calculated the cover size using the KDP Cover Size Calculator - is the final number (in your example it was 17.34 x 11.25) including the bleed or do you have to add the 0.125 and .25 to the book size. I have tried both and still keep getting it rejected with email advising - Resize the background or image on your cover so that it extends 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. All covers must be sized for bleed, which means you need to add an extra 0.125" (3.2 mm) along the top, bottom, and sides of your cover file. Once you have increased the size of your cover, extend any images or backgrounds that you want to reach all the way to the edge of the page 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. This prevents manufacturing issues when the cover is trimmed to size. Grrr. ;-)

Hey there ladybug! I'm not sure if its necessary to do so but you can if you want to. I've never really seen coloring books with page numbers on them though. Either way best of luck with your design.

Nope! These are images from Creative Fabrica that Ive made some modifications to. Hope this helps

Nothing I've downloaded from creative fabrica will upload to Canva. It says not the right file type or may be corrupted. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Shelly what file types did you download from CF? The only file types that you can upload to Canva are PNG, JPG, SVG and some PDF files. Hope this helps…
@@YourChicGeek Thank you for replying. The files have said jpg png and svg yet none work. I get an upload error. Canva works fine with files from everywhere else though.
I will try to pay closer attention to the files at the time I download and see if it's something there in missing.
@@YourChicGeek for some reason opening the file copying and hitting control v in Canva works. But dragging or even selecting paste doesn't. Anyway than you so much. Your videos have been very helpful.
@@shellym79 hmmmm there maybe something wrong with that specific set of files. Have you tried downloading a different set of files from CF to see if those work?
