Just my opinion, but on my restore I enclosed all headlight wires with black corrugated wrap, available at any parts store, but to each his own, beautiful cub, good job
In the Vintage Tractor parade I told you about, one tractor owner and it was a Farmall Tractor made a seat off the back of the Tractor for his wife. Kinda like a Granny seat in an old car😇
Danny: Isn't it amazing to think that you are so readily able to purchase brand new parts for this Farmall 72 year old tractor. It speaks well of the manufacturer. Functional and quite beautiful. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
Mrs. Wanda, please get Danny a good deep well socket set (Standard/Metric) for Christmas. I was watching Danny tighten the new bolts/nuts on his tractor and was just cringing. Cheers :-)
Good looking cub with restoration only thing I don't like is that muffler I'd change that thing in a heartbeat but that's just me you own a beautiful cub it's yours do what makes you happy!
Danny if you have any connection/corrosion problems in the future you can really help the longevity of your electrical connections with dielectric grease. I'm a diagnostic tech for the N.C.D.O.T. where we wire alot of snow equipment that we use with salt and I can testify that dielectric grease really helps.
I never had so much fun learning how to restore a 1950 Farmall Cub. But Danny I think your missing 1 more item.... Wouldn't it be cute to install an umbrella over your seat? Thanks for sharing. Now as I'm driving down the road I play "Spot the Tractor"
Love watching this, I was raised on cub tractors. Dad did all the farming on them. 1949 and a 1950. Looks beautiful!!! Great job Danny. You look so happy! Looking forward to seeing more of this beautiful cub!
Danny one thing I would do is after you run it for an hour or 2 is go back and check those new Bolt that you put in They sometimes worked them way loose Is very nice job on restoring it and I'm very impressed and very pleased. And thank you for this series on the tracker
It would be nice to find a cutter bar for it. My grandad had one that he used to keep the grass cut out of his fence lines. Don't know what ever happen to that little tractor. You have a nice piece of history. Good work. 🍻
I really enjoyed your informative video’s on the Cub restoration, I have a Farmall Super A and wish someone would do a video series of a full start to finish of a restoration on the Super A like you have done one on the Cub
Danny I have a 90 degree gearbox that goes on the pto on a cub, your welcome to it if you’d want it! I had bought it a few years back to retrofit to another tractor too run a grist mill and cane mill and ended up not using it. It has the flat belt pulley on it. Turns free no slack in it
Yea old school tractors was every other time for filter. I'm amazed at the number of hours on an oil change though. My Yanmar tractor is late 70s and it recommends to change the oil every 50 hours and filter every other time.
Thanks yall. I really enjoyed this restoration series. And Danny I'm glad too see that do have real proper sized wrenchs, I think this might have been the only time I saw you didn't use a Cresent wrench on every bolt and nut. Lol
Nice job! It sure is pretty. Personally, I’ve never had to polarize the generator just because the battery was disconnected. I e disconnected them, reconnected and they still charged.
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous, Danny! I envious (in a good kind of way) and happy for you. You've got your self a good and handy man there, Wanda! You make a great pair. I love you guys and your videos! I'm assuming that you guys didn't take the hokey pokey. If you are on the fence, please do NOT do it. I have done my due-diligence homework/research. God bless you and keep you well!
Going to hard to get your tractor dirty using the first time. It’s beautiful. I bet you have to continue sharpen your knife with all you do with it. Always have my Case in my pocket. A bother video would be a knife sharpening and how you put an edge on yours.
Nice work, Danny. Wear off that paint on the tires, that machine is ready to work. Dang, welding that spindle is going to be a pain. Throttle control too! Farm/field repairs if I ever saw one. Make it work, keep plowing. Don't let some rich collector offer you twice what you got in it. Two days of rain here in east Texas. Take care guys. 🙂
I am pretty sure the rear light is an option. Not all had them I don't believe. I also was wondering about all that shiney red paint as you started to install, how that was going to ground.
I have a IH loboy im trying to restore first time rebuilding something the head is giving me grief. What do you use on the C60 gasket i got mine from hamelton bobs and it leeked
I wonder if you could run two wires to a location where you can easily access them to polarize? Maybe to a terminal block that keeps them separated, but you can take a small jumper to it when needed. Maybe it’s just not worth it if it’s once a year.
A lot of people upgrade that ground to the top of the transmission. It's a much better and more reliable ground. I'm sure you know bad grounds can give grimlins. On these tractors not to many places for a grimlin to hide though🤣.
Danny & Wanda, I really enjoy watching your journey in real life. :) I have a question, who is the young lady that was once on your homestead? She had a small daughter. I always enjoyed her too but have somehow lost track of her. Please help...Take care!!!
I hope that you and Miss Wanda got as much enjoyment making these videos, as we have watching them!
I can’t wait until we see the tractor being used. And if it doesn’t break copyright laws the theme song for Greenacres playing in the background.
@@livingsimplytosimplylive6817 we can't use the green acre's song. It would be perfect.
Good morning Deep South!! Thanks for sharing this with us 😉
Which state are they in??

Boy that thing is sharp!
If a tractor could smile...that one would be grinning for being so loved. Great great restore. It's beautiful.
Purrs like a kitten - great job. I have enjoyed watching this tractor coming together
She's looking more original than original. Thanks for sharing her with us.
That looks really nice 😊
It's hard to put it in the dirt.
Just my opinion, but on my restore I enclosed all headlight wires with black corrugated wrap, available at any parts store, but to each his own, beautiful cub, good job
Good morning Danny and Wanda the tractor is in tip top running condition with a complete restoration it really looks good and sounds good.
Love all the detail you did down to the stickers. Beautiful.
That thing’s gonna be like new when you’re done!
The tractor looks awesome. Can’t wait to see it work
Video coming.
In the Vintage Tractor parade I told you about, one tractor owner and it was a Farmall Tractor made a seat off the back of the Tractor for his wife. Kinda like a Granny seat in an old car😇
I only ever saw these old and beat up. Never realized what sweet machines they were. The engine is nice to be around.
Thank you for sharing! It looks really good 😊
The cub looks great
My granddaddy owned his own mechanical shop n I guarantee u he would love ur tractor
This restoration video set is great. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a fine tractor mobile right there
Just beautiful.
Looks and sounds great
You did a fine job, Danny!
That's a very nice machine you got there. Good job.
I bet y’all could take it to a festival or parade it’s in such good shape.
Great work 👏, beautiful machine
I’m amazed at how beautiful that tractor is. You did a great job restoring it Danny.

Now that is a beautiful ol' girl.
looks good Danny saw one in my woods for sale..
I need to do the same thing with my throttle selector. I have filed my grooves more and I welded some on the lever and it's better but not perfect.

Danny now you need to find you a sickle bar attachment for it. That might come in handy cutting around the pond?
Danny when it’s done you can sell it to a museum LOL .
Not a chance.
Very nice!
That’s because they never pulled the handle over when adjusting it. They let it rub against the teeth.

wow it's about time you put away that adjustable wrench
It's a lot faster than hunting the right size wrench. I'm so busy every minute has to count.

Excellent job Danny, how was the interior of the engine itself, pistons and rings, wear and tear after 70 years?
It was rebuilt when i got it only had 15 minutes run time on the overhaul.
Put a normally open momentary switch for your polarizer so it looks finished.
Grind off all the weld and find a new bolt and get them spindles done
I guess I spoke too soon about making those wires accessible for polarizing.

We went ahead.
If you’re taking that steering shaft out, just put a silicone, or neoprene o-ring on the shaft just above the seal to stop the water.
I'm going to tie a leather string on it.
What manufacturer of tires did you use for this build? I have a 51' and your tires look like the correct ones
Danny. I always polarized the charging system will the engine running myself.
Manual says to do it before you crank it.
I am pretty sure the rear light is an option. Not all had them I don't believe.
I also was wondering about all that shiney red paint as you started to install, how that was going to ground.

I'm looking for a radiator base for a 1948 International Farmall Cub. I would appreciate any help....
Burch tractor supply company.
Have you got your fast hitch setup yet?
No I haven't found one
I would have used a carriage bolt for the battery connection to the box.
There wasn't a square hole anywhere to hold the head.
Just widen the hole it doesnt need to be square to get the nut tight just push on the head as your tightening.
👍
I think you mean that the wire is negative on the light.
Hook a batters charger to the cables Then you won't have to remove the hood again. You done figired it out . I should have known.
energize cables with another battery
Your polarizing the generator not the battery.
@@DeepSouthHomestead keep it energized with another battery
