    I tried your trick today using my jumper pack, power strip, and a 2 prong plug and wire cord from a discarded lamp, following your instructions, my generator immediately produced power, thank you very much, it saved me from tossing out a perfectly good generator.

    Awesome tip. I like the way you set it up with the power strip for a quick hit and not having to deal with exposed dangling cords once the 120v power comes back. Great stuff Thanks!!

    Have seen quite few video about flashing a generator back in service, this video offers a reliable and safe method.
    Following this video let me add this. The low voltage dc set up can be protected from the generator by a second 110V bulb connected series in the circuit.

      Great tip I appreciate it! On a side note to your brilliant safety tip, he is doing exactly what you said in the video as the light plugged in the same double 110v socket as the power bar and those two sockets are shared on the same line. But if anyone wants to be sure and simplify your method or if someone dealing with multiple 110v sockets available on their generator, they should just plug the 110v light ALREADY TURNED ON in the same power bar they're using to supply the 12v and it will be protect them from the generator suddenly producing 110v back in the 12v supply they using..

    Does this work with brushless generators that won’t produce power? The exciter works, but I don’t think the generator has magnetism.

    WOW! This would be a very helpful video IF we could see how the jumpbox/power cord and powerstrip were all hooked up. It looks like theres other wires and maybe something else all lying there amongst the wires you have connected to the jump box, its impossible to see how you have it hooked up. And then, after you start the generator you pick up the power strip and do WHAAT? Flip the switch on the power strip? We can't see what you did because the image is blocked! I'm leery of trying this without knowing all this. Please clarify with either another video or a written explanation. Thanks
    How are the wires hooked up to the jumpbox, which wire is hooked + and which is hooked - ?

    I got an older Honda EB 3000 at an estate sale for a couple hundred bucks. I imagine it had sat for many years due to the smell of the varnish in the carb. I replaced the carb and it fired right up. It worked OK in the beginning but has gotten progressively worse. I now puts out very little power, barely turns a circ saw. Can I do this on it?

    How do you have the wires hooked into the jump box? One on each side or?

    • @dj5752
      @dj5752 4 года назад +5

      it looks like to me, and also by listening to what he is saying he did the following: He took an extension cord and stripped out the female end and connected it to the positive and negative side of the battery jumper box, the male side he plugged into the power strip. (He used the light bulb to let him know when the power is back). He turned on the switch to the power strip briefly until he saw the bulb go on then quickly shut it off. Done. Power Back. Using a power strip as a switch is more safe.

      I have not done that but I say it is a good chance. the rotor for a brushless still has 2 windings. 1 has a diode rectifier set up to change a.c. to d.c. the d.c. goes into another rotor winding. NOW. if you can pull the rotor to get as the diodes, you could undo the wires and zap 12 volts into the winding then solder the wires back. you could have given the rotor enough mag strength to get her to 'put out/ I think u could like that?

    The right angle drill ya'll are showing now running can be used if you have no free battery floating around. Just spin the grinder bakerds with your hand and she will get enough voltage to flash into useable power believe it or not.

    • @MrEuroWolfie
      @MrEuroWolfie Месяц назад

      What kind of genny you have/? Bogging down means that it was trying to generate power or about to but might need more energy or a few times.. depending on what power supply u used.. every Genny struggle aka bogging when load goes up and have to produce more power.. that is why bigger gennys require bigger engines more Horsepower to turn the armature
