4:09 From what I know, steampunk is called what it is because it's based around the 19th century where the industrial revolution and steam-power became prominent, hence the old fashioned almost Victorian look to things. Having something be [word]-punk is to have something take a retro-influenced futuristic approach. For example, the Fallout video game series would be what is called atompunk, stylized to look 1950s because that was the time period where atomic energy and discovery was prominent, along with the curiosity about reaching for the stars and all that. Fun stuff!!

as someone who loves steampunk, how you made the kitchen made me so incredibly happy! I would love to see you both try to do a full steampunk house but that's fully up to you
While you guys were building this house I imagined that the Sims who built this house were a big group of friends who had a flair for the eccentric and loved taking aesthetics to the extreme, the outside and the living room we're done by a pair of best friends who grew up in the country, one lived on a farm, and the other lives in the forest, they are inseparable and practically consider themselves siblings, the kitchen and the dining room like you said were made by the two lovers, the woman who made the dining room was always obsessed with eccentric and elegant glam, and the man who made the kitchen found his love in the exposed pipes and turning gears of steampunk, everyone in the group doesn't have a clue on how they fell in love, it's my personal headcanon that when steampunk guy finished the kitchen he had to teach each and every person how to use it properly cuz no one had any idea on how to use it on their own, next up the laundry room, this was made by the youngest in their group she always romanticized living by the ocean, she's the type to collect seashells and keep a different one in her pocket every day for good luck, the bedroom was made by someone who always likes taking things to the absolute maximum, always loving mixing different patterns and colors, I think he'd be the excitable golden retriever type, next up is the bathroom which was made by the second pair of lovers in the group once again like you guys said, and also like you guys said everyone the group hates them for this bathroom, unlike the first couple this is easy to see why these two fell in love and they probably go to Medieval Times together a lot, and lastly is the nursery, this was made by the oldest person in the group, I imagine he's basically the parent friend who's looking over this group of stupidly eccentric children, and I think everyone did not expect him to go this all out for a nursery room, I feel like this group wouldn't necessarily live in this house but this was just their personal passion project to express their love for these types of aesthetics, I usually make up little stories like this for all of your videos and this is the first time I've ever shared one so I hope you liked reading it :]
You know what the bedrooms are giving me? The Addams Family: Before and After. When they filmed the 1964 Addams Family series, the set was in bright colors because when they filmed a dark set in black and white, it didn't look good. So the main bedroom looks like the set, and the nursery looks like the show and I love it.
The cute little creature figurine at 13:53 is a Yarny from the game Unravel and Unravel 2. :) They are, as the name implies, made of yarn, so they go well in the Nifty Knitting Pack.
I was about to comment this, but I wanted to scroll through the comments so I didn't type something someone else typed, and I'm happy to see that someone else knows what Unravel is!
I appreciate you explaining your qualifications for each aesthetic or decor trend, sometimes I'm just not sure what they all are. Like I've heard of steampunk all over the place, but I never knew the backstory behind it! Thanks, love your builds and videos!
The lore canon that I have in my brain for this is that this house was made by a vampire couple (aka the people in the paintings in the dining room & bathroom) to settle down in. They just wanted a home for their child to grow up in but couldn’t decide on a theme and they drew like lots to pick out who got which part of the house to decorate. Dad seems like he got the kitchen, bathroom and outside. Mom has the living room, baby room and bedroom. Plus a sprinkling of her favorite activities outside.
Okay so, when you did the goth nursery, all I could think about was "GOTH BABY!". The build is actually so good, they somehow fit like a puzzle. It reminds me of two parents doing their own thing and picking which room they'll decorate hence the different rooms!

I totally imagine that this is a vampire family who's still a bit traditional but keeps breaking from the mold! They keep the traditional goth baby room to appease the family, but everyone has their own little touches to their own favorite rooms- mom insists on having dominion over the dining room and the bedroom because it's where she and her friends all chat and have a good time, and where she works as an online author- because she refuses to go out in the sun unless she has to, but she still loves the bright colors of everything! Then the dad is an even older vampire who insists om having a fully functional bathroom and kitchen, but won't budge on older stylings who's saved up a bunch of money for the kitchen of his dreams. Then the laundry room, exterior, and living room are to avoid getting detected as vampires by neighbors who look through the window!
@@brightpinkink so 2 moms and 1 dad sounds perfect! The dad has the reward trait for not needing sleep so the bedroom is all for the ladies of the house.
Bro,…….. that is literally perfect but I think that the baby goth room is so like “vampirish” because the baby is still a ahah and doesn’t yet understand that it has to stay “undercover” and also it’s a baby and (I suppose) all vampires are “scared” to not see things that scare them, such as like the maximalist stuff, but when it gets older it will like get a different theme since it is more comfortable around different things.

7:10 as a person whos been OBSESSED with steampunk since I turned 11, this kitchen is totally a dream. I have no idea how u pulled it off but god I love it!!
I just love how every room inspired you to do a whole build. Can't wait to see a castle and an underwater house... maybe an underwater castle even. The wheel videos and random number generator videos are by far the most fun sim videos out there. You ladies killed it. Again.
I love the hers and HERS wardrobes, I feel like that's the first time I've seen that kinda thing done in just like a regular sims video (not saying it doesn't happen just saying I don't see it often❤)
You guys should make a house for 6 sims+ with all opposite aesthetics, for example: Goth and Kawaii, steampunk and modern knightcore and glam, hope you liked this!❤
In the nursery, the doll is from a switch game called Unravel! It is a character made out of string and you use your own string to solve puzzles and navigate the world.
13:45 that is a character out of one of my favorite video games and I think it’s called unravel, it’s a teamwork puzzle game it’s really fun you should try it
I can't wait for the 5 future builds utilizing these aesthetics! 😂 Congratulations on the first of many sponsorships to come! Thank you for the 2 videos this week! It's an absolute great start to this Friday 🙏
I think I came up with a Story behind the vampire nursery and maxsimlised bedroom: the parents are two female vampires, who saved a dieing infant (who still ages because she was turned so young) and they decorate their room as “humany” as possible so they “blend in” but since the baby is a brand new vampire, she needs as “vampirey” things as possible to help with her development. Ps: my fav room is the baby goth room because it’s just great.
There is no such thing as a favorite room because you two managed to knock it out of the park with all the aesthetics you were given!!! How you manage to do this in every single video is amazing!! It truly is a great day when Caryn and Connie upload a video!
Funny thing is, all the rooms, minus the master bedroom, all kind of fit together despite being different aesthetics. Like they are similar in style and color palettes enough that they fit together. Then the master bedroom just exists.
It kinda reminds me of the Edith Finch house. I just love the idea of an old country house sold to a train conductor and his aristocrat wife who then pass the house on to their eccentric daughter and her vampire girlfriend who now have their own kid.
Hi, this is the first video i started rewatching for like the 5th time and just wanted to say that i absolutely enjoy watching and rewatching your videos. I cannot pick a room. I physically can’t. They’re all so different but the fact that all the rooms are next to each other somehow makes it better..? I can’t describe it! I don’t know if I would be this pleased if there was only one theme! These videos are always so amazing!! I love rewatching them❤
the steampunk is my favorite. have been closeted obsessed for years. also, ty for giving key board tips in your videos. it gets annoying to look them up and some of them are not mentioned often by the people i've been watching. i find it easy to get drawn into your video's which, definitely makes it easier to remember them.

Ok but the Lore in this build makes it WORK!!! like fancy maxamilist mom with vintage history buff dad!!! And instead of meeting half way they both express their vibes in different rooms Bed room - fancy lady Bathroom - edgy man Nursery- combenination of historic and fancy Kitchen - edgy man dining - fancy lady Living room- combination of academia and cute! Best build YET!!
the lil black figure that you guys asked what was at 13:54 is actually a character from a game called "unravel two", it's a very fun game where basically all you do is dodge objects and try not to die. it's also a two player game you guys should really try playing.
New challenge: Roll for two aesthetics to mix together. Then roll for color. Making a brown steampunk/knightcore house might be easy. But a pink gothic/coastal house? It'll be either horrifying or amazing.
Congrats on the sponsorship! I love the idea that this is a super eclectic vamp family hiding behind the veneer of being an average countyside family and that the baby made its goth personality immediately known. This was so much fun, I can't believe some of the looks you two pulled off!!

POV:you’re having a terrible day then Caryn and Connie upload and their chaotic and cheerful vibes make your day so much better ❤
They are beams of light and joy that always better my day too😊💕
Feels like a vampire steampunk dad and a bright pink mom. And like rich grandma who insisted they had a rich looking dining room for guests
Now tell Game Theory that and let him figure it out!
I really wanna see a coatsal house by y’all!! It’s my favorite style house and y’all would do sooooo good on it! Love yall❤
Can we appreciate how these girls literally go over HOW to do things as they do it every time cause I always forget?! 💜💜💜
Love ya’ll! Keep up the great work!!!
steampunk is my favorite aesthetic ever and the appreciation you guys gained for it made me so friggin happy!! 😭💕
I want a whole build of it!!
ok i just found your channel and omg you two are literally so wholesome and happy??? I love your energy so much you both just radiate serotonin /pos
As a goth, I must say y'all did wonderfully also candles are the most goth thing you could do.
You guys should make a house for 6 sims+ with all opposite aesthetics, for example: Goth and Kawaii, steampunk and modern knightcore and glam, hope you liked this!❤
Some of these rooms really slapped! Love the steampunk and goth stuff going on
I’d love to see your take on a Barbie house! Or many iterations of various kinds of Barbie houses, but especially the plasticky doll house pink vibes!
In the nursery, the doll is from a switch game called Unravel! It is a character made out of string and you use your own string to solve puzzles and navigate the world.
Yes I was waiting for someone to point them out!!
finally someone notices
13:45 that is a character out of one of my favorite video games and I think it’s called unravel, it’s a teamwork puzzle game it’s really fun you should try it
I love the steampunk room, the castle, and the goth. Please do whole builds in those styles.
I can't wait for the 5 future builds utilizing these aesthetics! 😂
Congratulations on the first of many sponsorships to come!
Reby hardy's baby has an amazing gothic nursery for her baby, its so damn cool. Yall definitely nailed it
Love your pfp
I was going to mention this!
i just love the 'her and her' wardrobes
As soon as they said “hers and hers” I was like 🥹 now I wanna play a little vampire lesbian family
steampunk is my favourite theme pls do a whole build !!
There is no such thing as a favorite room because you two managed to knock it out of the park with all the aesthetics you were given!!! How you manage to do this in every single video is amazing!! It truly is a great day when Caryn and Connie upload a video!
Is it just me or is this channel growing so fast?! I’m so happy for them !!
Yes! I found them two or three months ago and was so surprised they had less than 100k, but now they’re growing like crazy!
@@slightlydistressedslug6627 yeah I feel like I only found them maybe 5 months ago and the had 30k but I could be so confused
@@slightlydistressedslug6627 I can’t find their analytics online haha
7:04 A steampunk house would be sooooooo PRETTY!!!!!!❤️❤️
Yesss steampunk house,,,!,!,,
Funny thing is, all the rooms, minus the master bedroom, all kind of fit together despite being different aesthetics. Like they are similar in style and color palettes enough that they fit together. Then the master bedroom just exists.
It kinda reminds me of the Edith Finch house. I just love the idea of an old country house sold to a train conductor and his aristocrat wife who then pass the house on to their eccentric daughter and her vampire girlfriend who now have their own kid.
i love this so much. im a goth and the nursery was beautiful. and the steampunk kitchen was awesome!
I absolutely adore the maximalist bedroom because it feels so much like something I’d do for myself
Honestly I wanna see you just do this challenge again, taking the aesthetics you used off the wheel. I wanna see some of the other themes too!
Hi, this is the first video i started rewatching for like the 5th time and just wanted to say that i absolutely enjoy watching and rewatching your videos. You both are extremely talented and very entertaining. I watch your videos all the time and your videos bring a sense of comfort especially with recent times. That being said, Im waiting for the day we get a full batuu pack build (:
Okay but that steampunk kitchen was INSPIRED 😍 every room, perfection! I think we need a full build inspired by each of these themes and a part 2 using other options on the wheel! Another amazing video you two! 🥰
I rarely comment on youtube videos but i HAD to comment on yours. You two have such a fresh, creative mindset and it is SO nice to see you guys thrive on the Sims 4 scene. So many little tricks and tips that really make your builds pop. And you both have such charismatic energy. So happy to see you two get a sponsorship and how quickly you are growing. You absolutely deserve it. I freakin’ love this channel ❤️
how do yall manage to make EVERYTHING cute
Just want you guys to know that I binge-watch these videos over and over again on stressful work days because they make me smile and are super calming. So thanks so much!
The steampunk kitchen had me worried for a minute but y'all pulled it off FLAWLESSLY
I really love the Steampunk Kitchen, but I wish there was a part 2 of this with maybe a bigger house so we can see you make all the other themes! Love your videos so much ❤
I cannot pick a room. I physically can’t.
They’re all so different but the fact that all the rooms are next to each other somehow makes it better..?
I can’t describe it!
I don’t know if I would be this pleased if there was only one theme!
These videos are always so amazing!! I love rewatching them❤
I love how the aesthetic goes from industrial revolution kitchen to gilded glamour dinner room
I learned so much about house building in sims
the steampunk is my favorite. have been closeted obsessed for years.
also, ty for giving key board tips in your videos. it gets annoying to look them up and some of them are not mentioned often by the people i've been watching. i find it easy to get drawn into your video's which, definitely makes it easier to remember them.
i love y’all’s personalities so much you make these so fun to watch. i literally count down the days until y’all post 😭❤️
I’m the exact same!! I get so excited when I see a new video haha
I loved the steam punk kitchen
YESSSSS THE PERFECT VIDEO THE END THE WEEK! Your videos actually inspired me to start making cool builds in the sims because I never thought I could do things like that and my houses would be big boring squares for forever! I downloaded your color house to make my own and it was so much fun! Thanks for introducing me to a new way to play!
Ok but the Lore in this build makes it WORK!!! like fancy maxamilist mom with vintage history buff dad!!! And instead of meeting half way they both express their vibes in different rooms
Bed room - fancy lady
Bathroom - edgy man
Nursery- combenination of historic and fancy
Kitchen - edgy man
dining - fancy lady
Living room- combination of academia and cute!
That maximalist room is SO CUTE!!!!!! It makes me want to do an entire maximalism build, I'm absolutely inspired
this is the first vid ive watched of yall and im obsessed!
Congrats on the sponsorship! I love the idea that this is a super eclectic vamp family hiding behind the veneer of being an average countyside family and that the baby made its goth personality immediately known. This was so much fun, I can't believe some of the looks you two pulled off!!
this is for shorts gang ONLY! 😡
click here to watch the full video!
@@carynandconniegaming please make a pet items only house? Thing is you can use walls, floors, clutter items and plants 🪴 ( bc I know you love them) 😊 please 🙏
@@carynandconniegaming love you guys
omg i'm shorts gang
@SoYeahIDidThat hi
I've never ever thought of doing a full on maximalist style with bright colors, but the pink bedroom really spoke to me. It's inspired me to do an only Maximalism house now.
That goth nursery brings me so much joy 😩 you guys hit the nail right on the head with that aethstetic. I would love to see more ❤
Two videos this close together? What a gift!! I love these videos so much
Your description of Steampunk is perfect! You got it right on the nose!
i love the baby goth room and the knightcore bathroom but something about that steampunk kitchen is SO GOOD
That’s one of the characters from Unravel 2 at 14:00. It’s an amazing two player game, you should try it out. 😊
I think the steampunk kitchen is my fave but I love each room for different elements!! 😊
