This was filmed prior to when the bridges were built over the tracks on 9th and 10th streets. Then I realized that a lot of the structures you see in the video are no longer there. They were torn down to make room to build the overpasses. The bridges were built because the rail line cut the city in two. Many times police, fire trucks or ambulances were forced to sit and wait on the trains because there was no way to get from one side of town to the other without crossing the tracks. This was especially an issue for ambulances trying to get from the north side of town, to the hospitals on the south side of town. From what I understand, the overpasses were completed sometime around the and of 2013 or early 2014. Finally! Thank goodness!
I believe trains with dimensional loads must go no more than 30 MPH through here. Track speed is 50 MPH (40 MPH for the head end only between HP 87 and HP 85).
trainzguy101 Yes, I remember seeing somewhere (I forget where) that they eliminated almost all of those grade crossings by road overpasses or dead-ends. I now live in the Pittsburgh area, so I haven't seen it myself.
The 1st train made me think that TOFC makes for the smoothest ride around b/c: 1, it's on a train & 2, u have twice the suspension w/ the flat cars 7 the trailers.
It appears at 05:31 and 05:44 that there are sparks coming from underneath the fuel tanks when the lead locomotive goes over the crossings. Yikes!!!!!!
So, when does anyone expect the LAST three residents of Lebonon will be leaving? Before, or after the upcoming railroad derailment, and spill emergency? Looks like the whole place, railroad included, has been neglected for years. WATCH FOR NEWS LIKE THIS...SOON.
I can't help but laugh every time when i see this video.. If i was running a train through there i'd prob be hysterical.. Not to mention Relentless 14Ls where i wouldn't lay off the air until i get to the last crossing..
And NS railfans get after CSX about poor track... how about you guys get out there and do some ballast tamping to clean up that bumpy ass stretch of tracks
Idk why but I find it satisfying watching the cars when a train passes by.
Track inspector must have left his brain at the depot! Loaded ethanol train passing over this......oh yeah. Great video and nice find. ;)
Very good Video
yall see the trailers bouncing? lol
Hard to tell from this far away of course, but maybe a close call at the 3:03 mark? Great video & thanks for posting!

What a video. That bouncing looks really scary.
When trains go through DeKalb it’s like a bunch of kangaroos. Also love that Ex conrail unit 3:43
That engine 6788 looks like the dummy engine that I have! Have u ever seen SD60M 6798 before? There aren’t many videos of it on YT
Wow... I can't believe that track is suitible for trains like that intermodal.
Thats becuase your west of wayne on the Michigan line. We get about 6 NS every day east of wayne.
Good vid Eric, I love those SD60M's. I wish I could buy one!
This line would be great for N&W 1218 to run, the grades don't look too severe. (I just think it's be awesome.)
6 freights ,6 amtrak. East of wayne is where the traffic is at.
Do you think, if the NS officials saw this, they just MIGHT schedule track maintenance?
Well, this video was made almost 5 years ago, I guess they could've fixed it by now.

Hmm, I would say he calls it that because it is short for "Harrisburg Line"

Awsome video.like down town PJ in 70s
It looks like Tohoku main line in Japan 30 yrs ago. It required foundamental repair of the rail bed
Nice K5LLA from that SD70M.
NS 6798 sounds like K3LP horn for me
i bet those engineers absolutely hate going through there with the way that they always bouncing
lol trailers on the cars are dancing too ! :P
Wow it's a mystery how they stay on the track.
CGI Thomas meets Chuggington 2008 Colorized.
Insert some Hardbass and you have a win..
If I didn't know better, I'd think Lebanon put speed bumps in to enforce the 25 mph town speed restriction!
Pennsylvania.
*Cool*
Great video.
Nice Doppler effects.
Obviously the track quality leaves something to be desired. At least these were not passenger trains.
Awsome horns!

On the first train, the enginer was stingy with the horn.

4:03 to 5:18...
Can you imagine how many angry people there were at the crossings?
Great Signal Proximity...
Just watching this makes my balls ache, especially considering if I was in the seat of a locomotive going over the crossing.
Great Stuff!
Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy.
I can't help but laugh every time when i see this video.. If i was running a train through there i'd prob be hysterical.. Not to mention Relentless 14Ls where i wouldn't lay off the air until i get to the last crossing..
