    Mate Koch is a monster for sure. I'm very excited to see his run in pairs 24

      @zorianhd8321 even in those last few actions you can see he was not only trying to run the time down, but fencing pretty well. Timing his actions, observing the opponent. Not to mention he came back from a 0-3 in the final 💪

    Unfortunately. Cannon was just had a shock after collision. He basically could not fence. Mere bad luck for him this day. Hopefully he can come back and show his real level.

      @unichi1 Cannone really hit himself hard! By just looking at the collisions you can imagine how painful it must have been in the neck... He seemed disoriented after those actions.

      @@FencingInsider moreover… I’m really disappointed in such a simplistic approach arbiters demonstrated in the case. Yes, as per regulations corps a corps is punishable for an athlete who initiated the attack. But! If we look attentively to the video, it is clearly seen that Di Veroli moved his hips towards the line of Cannone’s side passage. So it was really looking as an intentional blocking and a provocation of corps a corps! But no one cared. Not good, actually.

    What does the “P” next to Kochs and Kurbanovs name stand for?
    And later du veroli as well

      I believe it is a passivity call, when a minute passes without any action both fencers get a passivity yellow, the next passivity card goes red, and finally black. Recently the rule was changed so you can research that if you're interested in the full ruling.

    Round area for fensing will be best then traditional road for example the last fight when a man just runing forward oponent have to step aside and atack but not only step back.

      It would be really hard because of the wires (you can see them clipped to the back), but with a wireless system it would be interesting to see. I think it wouldn't change much for the stabbing weapons, though. HEMA allows strafing around your opponent.

    Very fast not interesting it will be better to have a little bit more heavy epees.For more interesting fensing.

    • @loafoffloof3420
      @loafoffloof3420 10 месяцев назад

      Heavy epees are a choice for the user in question, especially if the fencer uses a french grip where they can decide whether they want a heavy or light grip like how Cannone uses a light weight prieur wood grip. I have a heavy aluminum french grip with an aluminum core and it works great for second intention hits because the weight makes it harder for my opponent to parry but not soo great to try flick actions, and plus it starts to take its toll on my fingers when fencing with it for more than 15 hits against several more fencers in my club. Pistol grip epees though are just light in general which every other fencer used during the quarter finals.

      It's just developed this way over the years, I think it's more interesting because it can be a lot faster. I do think the bending stuff is a bit odd but I can see why it exists. Look into HEMA for more traditional looking swords
