dual passport holder, living in Karachi 30+ years. city of lights! yeah, when we have light - loadshedding meaning power outages for upto 9 hours everyday. food hygiene and quality: only eaten at 3 reataurants which have CLEAN food. thats out 100+ places ive eaten at. your shits would prove those numbers if you want to prove me wrong. quality has been dropping for decades because of inflation as people use used oil, cheap ingredients, etc. eat at al mekkah or al madinah hotel in Sohrab Goth (where the national highway starts. the worst of pakistan is in the larger cities (karachi). the rural areas have better food, people and life.

8:28 yes that was "coal tea", not just for smoky flavor but it is different cuz burning coal blend tea ingredients properly than regular tea. and it is the best version of tea.
hey man I'm loving the karachi content. I would highly recommend finding someone local to show you around though. it's a great city only if you know where to go and where not to go, and there are certainly areas that I wouldn't want you to walk around with a camera. even us pakistanis have a problem with getting mugged in karachi (other cities are much safer) especially due to the current economic situation. also, having a local guide is extremely helpful since karachi is simply a gargantuan city (tokyo sized) and impossible for a foreigner to know about cool stuff outside clifton/central area. I hope you get to visit lahore, peshawar, and islamabad. those cities are more chill, cleaner, and generally better conditions in terms of electricity, etc. there's also MUCH more historical stuff in other cities since most karachi was basically built after partition (nickname: the instant city). you can blame the PPP (feudal sindhi political party) for neglecting sindh so much. it's a city with so much potential but unfortunately anyone who's highly educated tends to leave since it's so neglected have fun and please be safe!
