But this movie was way different on a positive level. It is important to remind everyone to remind everyone they're actually worth something no matter what they have done or how they see themselves. Sympathy and words is all it takes.

Despite it being from The LEGO Movie the message that there is no one special, but that everybody has the potential to change the world and do great things without the status quo is incredibly powerful. This is why second chances are important. The parallel of Finn’s Dad walking over to him and President Business walking over to Emmet is probably one of the best scenes in the film I love that Finn’s Dad realised that he was so busy and focused on making everything perfect and controlling it all that he took away the one thing that makes Lego so important, imagination, his son’s imagination and that frightened him. He finally saw what his son had created and felt nothing but pride and love for him.
When you really think about it, The Man Upstairs is kinda like the Mr. Darling, Finn is the Wendy Darling and Emmet is somewhat the Peter Pan of the Lego Movie.
When I saw it in the theater iirc the "you don't have to be..." part was mixed with the kid's voice. And this whole thing was the best part of the film.
you don't have to be the bad guy you are the most talented and most interested and most extraordinary person in the universe and you are capable of amazing things because you are special and so am i and so is everyone the prophecy is made up but its also true it's about all of us right now it's about you and you still can change everything

You can see in the kid’s face and by his tone of voice that he feels genuinely embarrassed to say that the bad guy in his story is a metaphor for his father
The set up to this scene works on so many levels. The whole universe of the Lego Movie is powered through the imagination of Finn. So what Emmet says to Lord Business is basically what Finn is saying to his dad; how highly he thinks of him, despite him not permitting Finn to play with the legos. Throughout the movie, Emmet was constantly being pushed down by others, being reminded that he’s irrelevant or unimportant. Emmet’s speech to Lord Business was not only to be the first to tell him he’s special (as Lord Business revealed prior to this scene) , but to tell himself he IS an extraordinary person. Despite what others say. The scene also is a message to us - that we may feel as if we’re useless nobodies, but that’s just not it. Inside of us is something that makes us unique in some way. We all have a form of creativity, whether it be expressed through building something out of Legos, or something else.
Mario: Wario, Look. I get it. If you refuse to help me, I'm going to fight someone else all by myself. Wario: Really? Say it again? Mario: I said if you refuse to join, then I do it by using the Power of the Justice. Wario: Show me then. Mario: All right. I'll show you. My ultimate weapon as the Power of the Justice is this.
When I watched this movie, before finding out that most of it was Finn’s imagination, I thought the Lego characters were alive the entire time and that Finn was aware of this.
This movie wasn’t a cash grab lego commercial. It had heart. It had soul. It was what a good movie should be.

i miss when movies were like this.
Now Lord Business finally realized his mistake and felt very guilty for being a stupid selfish monster.
A movie that can make you cry, change you, and make you legitimately feel better than you were before…
Then that’s not a movie, it’s a spark of hope❤️
Mario: Wario, Look. I get it. If you refuse to help me, I'm going to fight someone else all by myself.
Wario: Really? Say it again?
Mario: I said if you refuse to join, then I do it by using the Power of the Justice.
Wario: Show me then.
Mario: All right. I'll show you. My ultimate weapon as the Power of the Justice is this.
I'm not ashamed to say that this scene made me cry when I rewatched this movie yesterday
This is such a beautiful speech. It's really touching. 💙
Imagine Deku Saying This To Shigaraki…

Imagine Luke Skywalker saying this to Darth Vader
I genuinely wish someone would tell me this. Ive got no one, ive got nothing.
You are special
this is so profound for a kids movie it’s so jarring
Thank you for posting I appreciate this makes me feel better
This is the best scene I've ever seen
When people say Chris Pratt was a bad choice for voicing Mario
When I watched this movie, before finding out that most of it was Finn’s imagination, I thought the Lego characters were alive the entire time and that Finn was aware of this.
This shows us that whatever we want makes you happy instead of everything has to be perfect😢❤
This is unironically one of the best speeches I've ever seen in any form of media
This brings a tear to my eye I applied this to my life
To all the people losing hope or lost by their depression
this scene broke me down in tears in the theater
Imagine Harry S Truman saying this to Stalin
