As a Layla Main I can say I liked this guide, normally I'd max down 1st skill first since I'm always paranoid someone will gank me since I'm almost always solo laning, but maximixing Layla's 2nd skill could be great too since it deals BIG damage once the magic mark explodes.
My play style and items depends on who is going to be our enemy.. and always always never forget to Play safe in early game because Layla is Monster in LATE GAME. PURE DAMAGE DEALER.
Maxing Layla's first skill is always a must rather than her second. Layla's only advantage is range and her first skill allows her to escape and/or deal poke damage to allow allies to escape.
I usually go for the 1st instead of 2nd. Simply because the 1st is usually what you use before engaging a fight where you could hit the enemy but they can't hit you. I wil give the 2nd then 1st a try though.

Also we use her second early game to make a good dmg against tanks and fighters, as all mm are weak early, Btw i prefer max her first before her second, this makes more dmg in mid game, also gives layla mobility with lower cd. Mobility is super important when u in mythic ranks 🥺😂 Btw your enemy was bots check in names👉 *👈 this is elite rank maybe or vs al. 😉
I started farming a lot more from the start and got up to Epic that way. Have newbie Layla avoid fights unless she's under tower and just farm including jungle (not buffs), ALWAYS help jungler get turtle early. Layla will power spike with four offensive items built. She'll know she's ready to team fight when she can kill an assassin who 1 v 1s her. Farm hard. Also, I've won so many games destroying towers by myself when enemy distracted.
