  • Yolŋu-style opening ceremony is like no other. Ribbon-cutting with two machetes approaching cannot get any more exciting! Here's the long-awaited reveal of our school's newly renovated kitchen, shop and classroom. The cheers, smiles and happy dances find a special place in the hearts and memories of those who were blessed enough to be right there - in the dust, heat and the entrancing sounds of Yolŋu buŋgul (ceremony) with yidaki (didgeridoo), bilma (clapsticks) and my favourite part, Old Man's voice.
