After a nearly-2-year hiatus, this track is the 11th song on the setlist in their first comeback concert. It's not uncommon for Lovebites to play nearly 2-hour concerts at this pace and precision. This is how phenomenal these ladies are. If you like guitar harmonization on steroids, I recommend an older clip of theirs - "Signs of Deliverance" LIVE : ruclips.net/video/ZFNrk19fKgg/видео.html
The music video for the song was released shortly after the band announced their hiatus. The music video carried a strong message that "we will definitely resume our activities." And I think it was a great joy for them to be able to keep that promise at this concert.
This was the last song they did with their prior bassist Miho just before band went into hiatus for covid and Miho leaving the band. Now this is their first concert with new bassist Fami and their first concert back from hiatus. Asami sings in English but with her accent and style it is sometimes difficult to understand but she is getting better!
The original version never hit me hard like other songs. This live changes how I feel about this song. This just may be the best dual lead guitar focused song that I have ever heard. All five are phenomenal artists. Fami is a gem, a perfect fit coming out of a difficult time.
All members put all effort to make this concert awesome, epic, clean, successfull and memorable. Even Asami got emotional on this show after long hiatus and showing 'The Younger One'-Fami to the world, she is a brilliant bassist!!. Nice comments bro👍
Saw the premier a little while back. I actually saw the entire concert when it was live streamed on their RUclips channel on 8/12/23 Fami the new bassist fitting very well. Release of their new concert Knockin' at Heaven's Gate out on 8/23/23. Mikayo also went out and bought a Gibson Flying V guitar. Maybe we'll see her playing it on stage eventually and Lovebites comes to the USA.
LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior [live] lyrics: This is it, Living under the destiny to fight My doubts layin' silent in past Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies Will you give it up?
What do you feel under the darkness? I search for light that I have never seen, Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Bringing back memories I'll never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior Hide the light that I found in my path I call it ''faith'' for now That is all left for me Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself This is up to me [!] The truth and lies are in the mirror I search for light that I have never seen Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior No time for looking in past now Fears vanishing into the sky... SOLOs: Broken piece of a soul Never heal in the rain And will there be end to this? Flaming up inside of me Giving me insanity The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin' SOLO: both What do you feel under the darkness? I search for light that I have never seen Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Taking step the way I believe Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Bringing back memories I'll never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior ----- lyrics: asami music: asami, midori, miyako, haruna & Mao album: In The Beginning 2017 - 2021
It took me decades to discover the correct lyrics to many songs by native English speakers. The best example is Manfred Mann’s “Blinded by the Light”. Unless it’s a protest song, or a song that is making a statement, the lyrics are Asami’s instrument being played to perfection just like the rest of the band. Don’t fall into the trap many reactions have whereby the lyrical “issue” comes to dominate the narrative, time after time. I know that isn’t going to be the case here, but it grates for regular viewers of Lovebites reactions….Listen again to Fami’s Bass in this. Each note is crystal clear, in lock step with Haruna and effortless. (It was me in the crowd…just rubbing it in 😂)
The twin lead guitar solos and duets are a regular feature of LOVEBITES songs. I suggest you check out "When Destinies Align" if you haven't already. I long for the day when they tour again in Britain.
Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES. This song had only a music video and CD release, but a live version was released for the first time. This is Asami's live talk before playing other songs. I think this is true of many of their songs. 「我々の楽曲はライブにて完成する!」 「Wareware no gakkyoku wa raibu nite kansei suru!」 Our music is complete when it's live!"
P.S. Asami's phenomenal bandwidth as a woman in the lower register can be confirmed in today's music. According to the vocal coach's analysis, the high frequencies can normally sustain e5.
Many reaction channels run out of superlatives to describe Lovebites. A good standby is the word 'relentless'. As for Japanese education, it hardly takes any effort or dedication from students to improve on education levels in the west. Music is a main subject in Japanese education. Not deemed a waste of time by Trotskyite education ministers, who push their own agenda, over education. Midori and Miyako practice and practice together. Once they have learned a piece well, the find ways to make it greater. We can all hear the results. 😀
Some people say that rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan.

Asami (LS) is singing in English .... I understand her more than someone "Up North" 🤣 But there again I have been listening to her for five years.
The original version never hit me hard like other songs. This live changes how I feel about this song. This just may be the best dual lead guitar focused song that I have ever heard. All five are phenomenal artists. Fami is a gem, a perfect fit coming out of a difficult time.
I'm the same. I appreciate this song so much more now after seeing the stage version.
I believe the phrase I’m looking for is “crawling out of the woodwork”. I loved it from the off!

LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior [live] lyrics:
This is it, Living under the destiny to fight
My doubts layin' silent in past
Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies
Will you give it up?
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen,
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Bringing back memories
I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
Hide the light that I found in my path
I call it ''faith'' for now
That is all left for me
Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself
This is up to me [!]
The truth and lies are in the mirror
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
No time for looking in past now
Fears vanishing into the sky...
SOLOs:
Broken piece of a soul
Never heal in the rain
And will there be end to this?
Flaming up inside of me
Giving me insanity
The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin'
SOLO: both
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Taking step the way I believe
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Bringing back memories
I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
