I downloaded the 1080p 60fps vid, rotated it 90 degrees and now is my phone wallpaper. Evangelion is a staple AMV source but this shines through them all.
Usually amvs have lower quality than that of the source material. How could this look better than the source material ? How is this possible ? Am I witnessing a miracle ?
Might be my color grading and post processing shenanigans causing that illusion, specially on youtube where the quality is highly degraded compared to the download link in the description , but thank you
MrNosec It makes me seriously wish that shows that might have the budget for it take that extra step for editing like this. Whether it’s heightened contrast and colour shifting, blur effects, chromatic aberration, glows, etc its amazing how much it adds visually and artistically. Absolutely superb job I swear my pupils must’ve been fully dilated the whole time.
Thank you, some animes do have fantastic looking effects like kara no kyoukai, the 3rd Berserk movie also has very good color grading, among others, but I suspect those had an absurd amount of budget compared to the more " cannon fodder " seasonal anime, where its overly simplistic in its visuals and animation with cookie cutter art style, those shows can be enjoyable dont get me wrong but they feel like the bare minimum effort was put into its presentation at times

Sorry about that, I couldn't upload my 4k upscale with "detail-preserving upscale" from Ae on yt, cuz it got limited to 30fps only at the time and that just wouldn't do, but I tested it nowadays with another video and I'm able to upload 4k60fps now, sadly I no longer have the original .avi file to upscale or the project footage

This is one of those AMVs that was made with passion and love. I see a lot of AMVs that were posted day one when new series came out and contained only cutted scenes and nothing more. If only more AMVs were more like this.
This is the prettiest AMV ever made. The 60FPS works really well as the defining gimmick of the AMV, and the slow bit at the start is easily the best part. It makes this show look so damn good with the slow but dramatic movements. Also, Kaworu looks even fucking hotter than normal and that's no small feat. Good job!
I'm going to personally award this with the best AMV award, the transition from one song to another song, the syncing and editing is on point. Great work.
@@JoshyYoshiAMV I take some breaks every now and then because I edit in very long bursts of time which can get overwhelming and you lose sight of what you actually did until you take a break and come back to it later, so I can't say how long for sure, but it's a very different kind of video and much longer too. If it was a 2-3min amv it would be done long ago

@@MrNosec Every now and again I want to replay the game or make a new build, but then I remember how long the game is. I still sometimes play on this one old character of mine. I invade at the Dragon Shrine in full dragon covenant regalia with a dragon straight sword and shield. Then I try to hide somewhere and mess with the host. DS2 invasions and PvP were the peak of the series for me. There is definitely a lot of nostalgia in remembering old builds, play through, and challenge runs i did.
I seem to arrive at this video like every 3 months. Its probably the only video i revisit regularly and have been for almost 2 years by now. There is just something so amazing about it, i just keep coming back for another look

Ey thank you very much, I really loved the series and wanted to make something like an "homage" to it, and maybe even leave my name linked to the name "Evangelion" in some way, I was never one for making a story in a video but I did intend to evoke distinct feelings throughout, sometimes they can be hard to express to the viewer but I find that much more rewarding than telling a story

@@kcidike4397 nah. The rebuild has good animation, but without the og, you can't really appreciate it beside it's animation. Plus, NGE and TEoE has a good story and animation too. I actually prefer the old one.
Personally speaking I can say without a doubt that this is the best AMV of this show, that has ever been made. Discovered it about a year ago and often find myself rewatching it. Don't know why others don't use Twixtor or similar tools more often, IT ADDS SO MUCH!!! Anyway, just wanted to say: You rock, and this is art.

4 years ago, back in 2020, i discovered this perfect amv, i've never seen anything better than this. Seriously, such amout of work was done on this project. @@JoshyYoshiAMV I take some breaks every now and then because I edit in very long bursts of time which can get overwhelming and you lose sight of what you actually did until you take a break and come back to it later, so I can't say how long for sure, but it's a very different kind of video and much longer too. If it was a 2-3min amv it would be done long ago

@@MrNosec Every now and again I want to replay the game or make a new build, but then I remember how long the game is. I still sometimes play on this one old character of mine. I invade at the Dragon Shrine in full dragon covenant regalia with a dragon straight sword and shield. Then I try to hide somewhere and mess with the host. DS2 invasions and PvP were the peak of the series for me. There is definitely a lot of nostalgia in remembering old builds, play through, and challenge runs i did.

My God. After seeing this I have a whole new perspective as to what emotions an amv is capable of evoking. Really I'm thankful for the amount of work you had to put into this. I've begun watching the anime and am progressively realizing what pushed you to put so much effort into creating this masterpiece.
Ey thank you very much, I really loved the series and wanted to make something like an "homage" to it, and maybe even leave my name linked to the name "Evangelion" in some way, I was never one for making a story in a video but I did intend to evoke distinct feelings throughout, sometimes they can be hard to express to the viewer but I find that much more rewarding than telling a story
@@MrNosec It's because those feelings are so hard to evoke that when you make someone get that glint of understanding it makes it all the more worthwhile. Great work you've done here man. Personally I feel like this is the kind of media we need in the industries of Virtual reality and Augmented reality. Plus, NGE and TEoE has a good story and animation too. I actually prefer the old one.

Personally speaking I can say without a doubt that this is the best AMV of this show, that has ever been made. Discovered it about a year ago and often find myself rewatching it. Don't know why others don't use Twixtor or similar tools more often, IT ADDS SO MUCH!!!

4 years ago, back in 2020, i discovered this perfect amv, i've never seen anything better than this. Seriously, such amout of work was done on this project. Even worse is that i get pure flashbacks with goosebumps as a 13-year-old teenager back at that time, who has literally survived on the internet
