Thank you!! Your pointing out the stitch to be used at the end of the row really will help me because I never knew which one it was and I somethings pick up stitches, I will now put a stitch marker on this stitch until I get the habit of knowing which one it is at the end of the row. Your video is done perfectly and not so fast one finds it difficult to understand. Thank you again!! Luv u!!
Thank you for explaining this so well. I'm going to try it on a baby blanket. I hope it will make it easier to start a border on the two side edges of the blanket, too. Thanks especially for showing how to use a stitch marker. I always have trouble with the ends of rows and I usually do use a stitch marker. Subscribed.
So I tried you stacked single crochet with my double crochet afghan . It worked perfectly. Anything I can do instead of chaining when i turn doing a single crochet. On the double crochet where I used a stacked single crochet when turning, it was so perfect I didnt even need to count my stitches.
On my single crochets I actually don’t chain at all! I just turn my work and keep on stitching :) I found that works best for me and it keeps the edges nice and straight
Thank you! This has been a total game changer for me! Question: how do you start double crochet in a magic ring? Do you chain 4, or do you do apply this stacked single crochet method?
I'm probably not qualified to answer, but it would probably be easier to just do a row of regular double crochet. I think the stacked SC is most useful for when starting a new row so you don't have to do the chain 2 when you turn. Someone please correct me if this is wrong!
My mind is blown. Not because of the stacked single crochet (though that was helpful, thanks!), but because of the skipped chain one between rows. I just did a swatch where I chained one on one side and skipped it on the other. The side without the chain one looks so much better. Why have I always chained one? Why is that the normal way to do things?
This is really neat. Not only will it help with the gap the chain 2 or chain 3 may cause, it will help to keep the ends even (I believe).
Thank you the edges look better and there's not the big gap between the turning chains and the first DC love it

Thank you for showing exactly where the 2nd sc goes! Alot just say it leaving this relatively newbie lost!
You are very good at explaining new stitches! Thank you!
I always hated that gap!! To make up for it i would chain 2 instead of 3 but then the ends would be wobbly (if that makes sense). This is so smart!!!
Thank you for the tutorial
Can't wait to try this!! Really makes the edges much more neat!!

Thanks for making this so easy to follow. I love this technique for keeping edges neat!
Love It!!! I saw another crafter doing this and made the edges so straight and beautiful! Thank you❤

awesome tutorial. thank you 🙏🏻
November 5, 2024: Thank you for a tutorial that I was able to see very clearly how to do a stacked double crocet and the triple.
Wow - love that!
A stacked single crochet makes it straight and no gaps.
I love this
Ditto
Fantastic!
This is much better❤

Very nice ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I need to know how to do this from a chain.
How would you do an entire row of Stacked Single Crochet Stitches? Would you have a chain 1 between two (2) stacked single crochets?
