    Hi, Could you tell which you like more, vg279qm or xv273x? (in stock mode, without overdrives)

    If you still have the monitor, I wonder how it handles stobe crosstalk between 144 and 200hz since that should be the sweetspot where the Panel has enough time to strobe between images. In theory u should be able to let this monitor run between 144 and 200 hz with elmb enabled and there should be no strobe crosstalk at all since the response time ist quicker than the 5ms hold time at 200hz. With the right overdrive Setting it should be possible. Wonder if it also works when Elmb sync is enabled and you cap the framerate of a game where it is possible, to sth between 144 and 200hz.

    Hi I've been watching through loads of videos and reviews can you tell me what you think would be the best 27inch gaming monitor a can get for around 250 pound please thanks for any help

      @TechyTalkUK 3 года назад +1

      Hmmm, tough choice. At that budget you're mostly still limited to 1080p resolution rather than 1440p. In which case you can get something like the AOC 27G2U. 144Hz, freesync and gsync, IPS. ruclips.net/video/qKHMYNeaDTE/видео.html

    Given it's a 1080p panel on 27 inches, how bad would you say on a scale of 1 to 10 is the image quality compared to lets say a 24 inch 1080p display? Thanks!

    • @TechyTalkUK
      @TechyTalkUK 3 года назад +4

      Hard to say. I make a point of it in the review but it didn't actually bother me for gaming. It's literally just like sitting closer to your TV. For a competitive gaming display, pixel density isn't something I consider a priority. Even the better colours and viewing angles of IPS are a nice to have, rather than essential. All that said, it was a very noticeable upgrade going back to a 1440p 27in display after using this one. Short version. It's fine for gaming but definitely a limitation for work/browsing/other computer stuff.

    I am seriously heavily tempted to buy this monitor since it still allows 240hz at a £120 cheaper price compared to other monitors and its IPS panel. But I really am fighting between this one and the BenQ Zowie and the HP x Omen 27. Any advice/help? I can afford all 3, my current is the ASUS TUF 144hz monitor 1080p

    • @TechyTalkUK
      @TechyTalkUK 3 года назад +1

      Not sure which zowie model you mean but the hp is 144hz iirc. Is the tuf model an ips too? If so, just getting the 240hz wouldn't feel worth the upgrade to me. I'd go for the higher resolution options. If it's not IPS, then, yeah, a 240hz IPS would be a nice upgrade. Ultimately comes down to what you use the monitor for. If you need more of an all rounder then the 144/165hz 1440p models are you best bet. If performance gaming is all you care about, then 240hz all the way.
