Here’s to hoping this show turns out to be even half as good as the Netflix series. I just don’t understand why they won’t just re hire the Netflix writers. Daredevil is a lawyer but the majority of his show should be him fighting. How the hell can you wait until episode 4 before he finally suits up??
I honestly thought the Netflix show would have more court procedural scenes than it did, but it ended up being the best of the lot. Still have to shake my head that it had better martial art fight scenes than Iron Fist.

They need to show how much crime has increased since the snap, the government falling apart, terrorism, etc. Daredevil is the perfect show to show the high street crime and legal actions taken on those. I’m glad Kevin reviewed this and is taking time to perfect it as much as possible (same w Blade). Loki, Moonknight, Shang-Chi and Werefolf by Night are the best films they’ve made so far. I used to think so too, but them not hiring other casts members and writers is a big red flag. Like I can see Charlie and Vincent giving a killer performance, but it'll be such a tragedy if the characters they are given are far off from what we want
The Daredevil Netflix show is probably the best written, directed, choreographed and character driven story the MCU had ever produced. If they really want this show to be even half as good as that show, they need to bring back the original writers, directors, show runner etc. and also bring back the original cast, re-canonize the show into the MCU and make season 4 of that show, not a reboot. Disney has made a lot of stupid decisions over the last few years but cancelling that show was one of the dumbest decisions ever made.
Some people might be disappointed but I'm all for this. Whatever time you need to do justice for Daredevil and Charlie Cox I'm here for it. Hopefully it'll turn around Marvel's disastrous run of shows.
Hot takes: she hulk was lowkey funny and entertaining, secret invasion was quite fine until the end, ms marvel was pretty sweet and refreshing besides the lame ass villains. Every other marvel disney plus show besides the first 3 I just mentioned are at least decent if not really good.
@vintageoriginallegit just opposing opinions is all. You think you I'll think me and we can all still appreciate the finer things in life. Wanda Vision was great, I just preferred Loki because the writing was deeper and much more thought provoking.
The Netflix writers did such a great job of making them so much more than sidekicks and Disney was just going to waste that by killing them off? Didn't they already sort of do that with Elektra anyway?
@costanzafaust Disney doesn't do complex characterizations. They'll be content with some no-stakes fight scenes with a few jokes along the way. This won't touch what Netflix was able to create.
Exactly because of she-hulk i kinda thought this wouldn't live up to the hype i hope this means we get a well developed show that can recapture what made daredevil great
As usual, Charlie explained everything marvelously. That rough draft of the first four episodes was a disaster. Period. There would have been hell to pay (pun intended). And I sure hope this means those two fan favorites are actually coming back.
Actually these 4 episodes might have been really well done. Just depends on how they made him not wear the suit and if they gave him a really good reason to get back in it.
@raylop80731 it's the fact that it was decided to kill off Karen and Foggy, thus prompting Matt to quit the vigilante alter ego. It seems I was not clear with my comment.
Honestly I think this is a good sign, think about it like this if you’re a director of a series and you watch and preview a product you’re working on and watch it in what’s supposed to be it’s chronological order and find it lacking and find it not to be in line with what you had envisioned and can see it being better and wanting it to be better and improved and wanting to give the fans something you feel will be incredible and your best effort while you have a seemingly unlimited budget and wish to get back on the right track with both your series and movies and give us more than just the phenomenal show that loki is. Then that’s the best way to go about it, accept nothing less than what you envisioned, and accept nothing less than perfection, don’t let it be ruined by agendas etc. you can have hints of it but just let it be a good show that’s worth watching and something action packed, after all if you’re a director and can’t even watch it then what’s going to happen to the fans of the show. So this is definitely a step in the right direction.
I'm glad to hear that they are planning to do longer episodes for series. I'm also encouraged that they are re-doing Daredevil Born Again to make sure it is on par to what we all expect and anticipate after watching the Netflix series (which was great}. I'm excited to see what they do with all the series in the future.
If Marvel wants to make sure Daredevil meets expectations they need to bring back Drew Goddard. He had the heart, soul, and production values that put Daredevil on the map. And, of course, the original cast.😊
Something I wish the people at Marvel Entertainment would learn and apply is that there is no hacking the art of movie making. What they are doing is basically scraping out the "human" aspect of the characters and keeping their fingers crossed we are blinded by the spectacle and not take a second to think and analyze what we watched. For example, the finale in Falcon and the Winter Soldier may seem impactful, with Sam Wilson chewing out the GDP or whatever they are called, however it rings hollow when you take a second to realize that's not how government works at all. Another example is Doctor Strange 2, where if you watch the movie without watching WandaVision, you'd be completely thrown for a loop not knowing why Wanda is the villain or what that book she's using is. But if you DID watch WandaVision you'd be pissed that DS2 basically undoes what WandaVision built up, with the flimsy excuse that "oh, the Darkhold was corrupting her". Possibly the most egregious example I got is Guardians of the Galaxy, where the second they met the others in Infinity War Gamora was fridged with a character arc still in progress and Star-Lord written so OOC that he became the Internet's punching bag that hasn't gotten a break since. Finally, I have to bring up that it doesn't feel like there's a direction, rather the people in charge are flying by the seat of their pants. NEWS FLASH: That doesn't work. The only person that it worked for was Akira Toriyama, creator of Dragon Ball, and although some of it is good, that doesn't mean ALL of it is good. My takeaway is that the writers need better communication between each other when working on these movies to make sure the universe actually *feels* connected instead of someone showing up and going, "Hey (insert name here) it's me, and I need your help," as well as actual time and money to actually plan out what they're writing.
The darkhold was literally corrupting Wanda lml it shows that in Wanda vision when she was using the darkhold doctor strange 2 did nothing to erase what was established in Wanda vision it continued added to that storyline very well
I just don’t get all this hate for the Falcon and the Winter soldier. I absolutely loved that show! It was my favorite along with Loki. I’ve watched the whole Falcon and the Winter soldier series at least seven times now. I’m sorry, I meant Captain America and the Winter soldier!
Me too! I really enjoyed falcon and the winter solider. I did also like Yelena in Hawkeye too. I just think too many came out at one time and people were over it
As a fan of the MCU, I'm happy for this as a lot of people have complained that marvel phase 4 has been the weakest of all the phases and this whole writer strike has gave Kevin Fergie a new flame to essentially find what works with the old MCU formula but also give it a much needed upgrade. I look forward to what's the future is looking like for the MCU because if this new system works then marvel should stick with it and maybe tweak it every now and then maybe push the boundaries every so often. But if simple effective and all the fans love it then they should stick with it
Between Daredevil and Blade, it seems like Marvel Studios is anxious about living up to the hype of its predecessors. It very well just could be performance anxiety at this point
DAMN. I've been looking forward to this show more than anything. I hope the changes make it better, not just grind it all to dust and chaos. Killing Karen and Foggy as a plot device after we came to love them seems like a pretty bad start though. I hope you're right Charlie, that it's a healthy fix, not massive jump the shark garbage.
I kinda wish the MCU still had a show like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that was ongoing w/ multiple seasons tbh. AOS wasn't perfect, but I really enjoyed the show for the most part. One thing I especially loved about the show was how they gave smaller MCU characters like Maria Hill & Lady Sif more screen time so we got to learn more about the characters & care more about them (Lady Sif was in 2 episodes of AOS & got more screen time there than in all 4 of her MCU appearances in total). Plus, I kinda miss that TV show format for the MCU lol.
Even Agent Carter which is very underrated series has better script and direction than any of these Disney Plus series. The problem with Marvel & Disney series is that they treat it like a movie. That's why some of it was such a rush especially near the finale
AoS was near enough perfect for what it was able to do, and under the conditions it was created in. The AoS people had to churn out 22 weeks of content on a limited budget while also being at the mercy of TV network executives who had no interest in comicbook shows. Add into that the secretive way Marvel Studios would share information about upcoming movie projects and its amazing that AoS is as good as it is. The Disney+ shows don't have those problems. They have massive budgets, movie-level stars and movie-level production values. And there should be no creative disconnect, as the people making the shows are the same people who are making the movies. These Disney+ shows should be better than AoS... But they are not. AoS is still the gold standard for MCU TV.
I thought The Falcon and Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Moon Night, Loki was good. She Hulk is what I expected it to be. What started the let down for me was Secret Invasion. I knew it was in trouble when they killed off Maria Hill. I hope the recon it.That show could have been so good. I was hopeful for D.D. because a couple of the writers (I read) were from the Netflix show. But I'm glad they pulled the plug and is starting over. My only fear now is the T.V. budget will be too small.
Falcon and the winter soldier was good till they dumped in social justice themes. I’m not against social justice, but they didn’t cover it like Luke Cage did.
Given the Disney+ / Daredevil track record they need to cut 18 ep to 12 unless they’re doing 3 stories. Matt Murdock being a lawyer was never the fun part, it was being a blind hero. Justice is Blind was just a cool twist that can change the drama. We’re not tuning in for a courtroom series, there are a 100 others.
If Disney canceled a show on Disney Plus, how bad must that show had been. This is the studio that made She Hulk, Willow, and Boba Fett. This show must have really sucked.
Netflix hired dozens of award winning writers to write their version of Daredevil. Disney hired two writers that have never written a successful show that has lasted longer than half a season. They have never cared about quality. Perhaps this will be a course correction.
Daredevile/Defenders and the Midnight Suns are what I’m most exited for houng forward in the MCU alongside Spider Man so if they need to delay it a lot in order for it to be great I’m all for it. Blade also seems to be having the same problems where they are writing a whole new script so I’m all for it. Blade needs to be rated r though just like the Wesley Snipes Movies who in my opinion are classics. Yes I even liked Trinity sue me.
I was worried at first but I do agree that this is the right move for them to make and this is good news. I've still enjoyed most of their recent shows, but there's definitely a lot of quality control and writing problems that need to be addressed. Unfortunately I have mostly the same thing to say about the movies, but I'm not sure if this will affect those as well.
So Matt Murdock's role in She-Hulk led us to this point: Man, the swings-and-misses from that show are, especially now, both significant & prophetic 😵 Let's hope they retcon the Skaar intro, too, eventually 🤞🏽 Love&Thunder, She-Hulk, Quantumania, Secret Invasion: I'm glad Born Again (temporarily at least) won't be added to the list of the dumpster fire the MCU's plots have been of late 🔥 I don't know how Mahershala Ali is still linked w/Blade some 4 years later after the project was announced with only a verbal cameo in Eternals to show for it 👀 It IS sad Daredevil has followed suit 😞 further proof of the ditch Feige's Fiefdom's currently in. 🙏🏾 real hard this change is the course correction MCU Fans are looking for 🙏🏾 #BringBackFoggyAndKarenPage
Thanks, I hadn’t heard about the big delay/reboot of the series. Here’s hoping they can turn things around and get back on track. I really hadn’t been to dissatisfied with most of the series beside Secret Invasion which was a major disappointment. I’m willing to wait while Kevin course corrects things.
What you described sounds so much better: More time spent on writing, plotting out the season, making actual TV seasons instead of 6-part movies, etc. I hope they stick to it.
They should've done Eternals as a full-fledged tv series. That's definitely a Marvel movie that needed character development and great story telling across all those characters. Maybe they can go back and consider it if they're going to go down this new path.
Imagine being that team that got fired from the project. They were probably so happy to be filming Daredevil, and couldn't remotely expect that everyone would be fired eight episodes into filming. Crazy. But there were some definite red flags coming from that side of the Disney+ MCU.
Killing Karen and foggy, two of the most well loved and developed side characters in all of marvel, was so dumb and off screen too. Hope this factor is changed. It gives me more hope for the show because I was worried. Netflix daredevil is my favourite show ever.
Damn! It’s been such a wild, interesting time lately!! It was just a few hours ago I first saw something on my Instagram saying Marvel is starting from scratch for season 1 of Daredevil Born again. I was very disappointed, worried and confused but now after everything you explained in this video, I have hope and faith in Kevin Feige that he’ll make the show as good as the Netflix Daredevil show or possibly even better!! It would be insane and I totally wouldn’t mind if season 1 of Born again gets 20 episodes!! This is ironic and kind of funny! In a way of starting from scratch for Born again, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will literally be reborn!🤣 I strongly agree with you Charlie that Loki season 1 is a diamond in the rough!! It’s been my number one favorite thing since Endgame as well!! Even though I’m just a little bothered by how fast paced the first episode of season 2 was, I enjoyed it a lot and I’m so excited for another episode tomorrow!! You never disappoint with your videos!! Keep it up!!👍
*Here's part of the reason* Due to the strikes, several actors that couldn't participate in the show on its prior production schedule suddenly had some availability. Key side characters from the Netflix shows. Combined with script decisions that didn't work, they decided to bring these actors in and delete the misguided original plans to kill off these beloved supporting characters.
Glad to hear this, thank you Charlie for covering this. I have not been impressed with any of the Disney marvel offerings other than maybe Loki and was not excited for them to run Daredevil through the same process.
This is why i love your channel. You actually know what you're talking about. So tiresome to always hear "oh marvel is done, everything they release is shit, everything after endgame is trash" etc. etc. No, no it's f:ing not. Yeah, some series Marvel have released wasn't great. But they weren't trash either that some people made it out to be. I've enjoyed everything on D+ so far. Even if some episodes were worse than others. Even Loki season 2 is getting hate for no reason "Yeah episode 1 was great, BUT the final 5 will suck probably". I presonally. Can't F:ing wait for what's to come.
I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with making what amounts to a 5+ hour long movie and finding natural breakpoints in the narrative to make it into a 6+ episode miniseries. Movie or tv show, it always starts with good writing, casting and directing. And of course enough time and money to bring the vision to life. Part of Disney/Marvel's problem was setting unrealistic time-frames for delivering their movies and series. Hire quality people and take the time to craft a superior product. And resist the temptation to over-promise.
I completly agree, you can have basically any number of episodes if you know when to break the story up. You could even see that in the early shows, it wasn't just Loki, Hawkeye and Moon Knight did it very well, but you could also tell that they had a much better structure than sectret invasion or Ms. Marvel. At least for Ms. Marvel I'd say with the amount of plot they had to cram into it, it could have extremly benefited from more episodes.
This is why Disney fails: they choose to do “other” things instead of what people love and want. Just continue the Netflix continuity - hire all of the same actors. And tweak just enough to make it your own.
There is no substitute for a good story. A good story with compelling actors that is allowed to give the full story it's trying to tell will trump something that is mostly bells and whistles every time. Spectacle is great, but it has to serve the story, not be served by the story. WandaVision did that very well, I thought. Multiverse of Madness did that less well, and Quantumania less well still (to be fair, I enjoyed both of those movies, just thought the stories could have been more fully fleshed out). Having to wait even longer for Daredevil is aggravating, but worth it if it means they get it right. There is a crapload of potential in existing DD comics, so hopefully they'll pull some quality inspiration from there. I still say Shadowlands would be a great way to introduce/reintroduce several characters, and do so with a compelling, non-standard main character arc. But that's just me.
Wait what?! I didn’t hear about this, that’s really disappointing. I feel like this is showing the problem with announcing things years in advance I think Secret Wars has been delayed another year so it will release in like 2028
I think Loki has the advantage because of the casting and how the story itself directly connected to Kang's origin story. As we know, Kang is being presented as the next big bad in the Multiverse Saga and aside from What If...?, Loki is the only series in the MCU that's really focusing on multiverse storyline.
I think it’s become clear to marvel that they have to stop cranking out tv and focus on quality. They need to put more work into story telling and writing and not just fly by the seat of their pants. Loki apparently had zero reshoots which shows they CAN put the work in ahead of shooting and come out with a fully realized story (if reviews from those who have seen 4 episodes are accurate). It doesn’t take rocket science to get that working things out on a page is way more advantageous than trying to piece together a story after the fact with reshoots and editing. While I hate that people had to go on strike at all, I’m glad that marvel had the chance to reassess. The fact that they are willing to literally put half a season in the garbage can shows that they understand the problem and are willing to fix it. Not everyone would literally throw that much money in the garbage to improve the product. I personally liked falcon but it was so incredibly clear that the story was not cohesive and that reshoots had muddled a lot of it. They’ve been getting away with this for a long time by putting out things that were net positive… but it’s finally caught up with them now that they’ve expanded so much. And respectfully, I think their movies would benefit from a more traditional approach too, especially now that the world is so large. Get it right before you trot out the cameras. This isn’t rocket science.
Honestly, this isnt too bad. Part of art is multiple drafts and a lot of projects end very different from how they start. Being willing to scrap something to fix it shows some maturity. Thats no garuntee it will be better, but heres hoping!
Maybe Luke (from She-Hulk) made Matt multiple suits. One for light work, one for down-and-dirty fighting, and one for the "Guardian Devil" persona. The one we saw in She-Hulk was the light work suit (the yellow suit) It's not meant for serious combat, but will be handy to maneuver in and out of situations quickly. I want an action show, but I don't mind a legal drama. Have some of the stuff take place in courtrooms.
I wish they would just bring back all of the actors from the Netflix Marvel shows, and if they have to re-tool or re-boot them in some way, that is fine. Just don't don't lose the dark mysterious edge of the shows. I know a lot of people didn't like Iron Fist, but I really liked the show, and I hope they bring those actors back and do something with it, all of them, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and The Punisher. I would like them to try and bring in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Cloak and Dagger and The Inhumans show and work them back into the fold also.
my teacher and i were reading about this earlier, i was devastated when he got the twitter notification lol 😭 but now i'm glad to hear that it's so we'll ultimately get a better show
Honestly for Disney+ keep the movies and TV shows separate, focus on your street level heroes, keep the seasons to around 10 episodes and just give each one a different tone.
I was keen to watch a daredevil show completely focused on Matt's legal carreer... also a Thor's show entirely centered on Donald Blake's medical work in which he never uses any powers, fights a vilain or have any significant adventure. That’s what Marvel fans are all about after all...
Quality control, has been the biggest issue, in Marvel, since the beginning of phase 5, IMO. Disney has been cranking out stuff, so fast, too fast, that not enough time is going into the polish, making sure that it is actually good material; quantity over quality, to boil it all down to. Now that Marvel is cutting things way back, and hiring people with the right experience, i.e., letting the movie people do the movie stuff, while letting tv people handle the tv/streaming stuff, the quality of Marvel will come back. One can only hope.
After Endgame they really should have eased off for a bit and figured out how to really nail all the stories going forward. Instead they slammed down the gas full throttle and lost control. They're getting dangerously close to crashing headlong into a wall, so hopefully this is the first step in getting quality and story back to where it needs to be.
I think this is good because they are following what I consider to be the best comic book television series ever. They have a lot to live up to and the tongue in cheek style they seem to be ever adopting simply isn't going to live up to it.
They can bring Karen and Foggy back. Have Kristen Ritter and Jon Bernthal be a major part of the series as well. Hopefully Elodie Yung and Wilson Bethel are apart of this series.
While I am glad they are going back to the drawing board in general on their approach, I personally still enjoyed their phase 4 content. It’s just that they should admit what they were doing and be okay with only pleasing a smaller part of their fan base and getting less of a return on investment. Sure, maybe that’s unrealistic but just saying that while they were experimenting with the “TV,” they also failed to back their plans which I think just added to the negative sentiment. And then they probably let that negative sentiment get in the middle of their efforts in a toxic cycle. Anyway, like I said I’m glad they are changing approach but I also hope they still maintain the characters they’ve developed in phase 4 and just give them a better 2nd season or movie story etc. and don’t completely cut them out of future stories. As much of the flak The Last Jedi got, I think the only thing worse than taking the turn they did in that movie was to not commit and follow through in the 3rd movie. Prequels were what they were but they were fairly consistent across the 3 movies and even though they got hate when they came out, they’ve become more popular over time and generated future story building and success that helped Star Wars build. I don’t think Rise of Skywalker will carry that same longevity. What I’m saying is, I hope MCU Phase 4 proves to be more like the Star Wars prequels than the Sequels
The Netflix Daredevil was so good that if they get it wrong there would be no doubt that they messed it up, couldn't blame fans, time slot, haters or anything. It would be, "we just messed it up." They would have to take that hit, because on Netflix it was hot fire.....I'm still watching the old show.
I honestly feel like Marvel missed a huge opportunity with Daredevil. It would have been cool if they set his story during the Blip where crime is up and the Government remnants aren't powerful enough to stop it so heroes like Daredevil and maybe Luke Cage and Jessica Jones would step up to try and restore some form of order. That way by the time of Post Avengers Endgame these characters would be on the Avengers radar as possible future recruits instead of them randomly popping up out of nowhere like Daredevil essentially did. I can't stand that Marvel decided to skip the blip instead of show us what life was like during those five years.

Karen is shit. All that acrress does is sniffle with a red nose in the orginal show
Good to hear this hope they do this series justice i dont mind if it takes a little longer to get it right.
That was their main reason!
Exactly because of she-hulk i kinda thought this wouldn't live up to the hype i hope this means we get a well developed show that can recapture what made daredevil great
They were doing the shit 2 years how long does it suppose to take? Lol
While I’m glad there taking time making the series good , I personally just want the show to be a continuation of the Netflix series
@@B.Piercesports there were a lot of set backs
Call back the people who made Daredevil and Agents of Shield, and Punisher plus others similar shows, they know hot to do TV.
As usual, Charlie explained everything marvelously. That rough draft of the first four episodes was a disaster. Period. There would have been hell to pay (pun intended).
And I sure hope this means those two fan favorites are actually coming back.
thanks!
@neomoscoso10 oh its clear. It's just a bad stance. We don't know how it was written.
Every season of the Netflix series he quit wearing the suit..gay as hell
man nobody breaks this stuff down better than charlie, thanks for explaining it so well!
I appreciate that!
I hope this decision will give us Netflix quality and not Disney childs play! Daredevil cannot be mediocrity!
Rewatching Daredevil now. Can’t wait to see where it goes.
I'll do more Daredevil videos when we find out about the new version of the show!
I hope they get this right this is my most anticipated marvel project coming up
That's the main reason for them making all these changes the past few weeks.
I just started rewatching Daredevil..
Have fun!
@@emergencyawesomeThank you charlie, i gotta say its awesome getting a like and comment from you, I've been watching you since Teen Wolf 😂
I am also watching
I loved how Karen Page connected the other shows together, hopefully they dont kill her off
Honestly I think this is a good sign, think about it like this if you’re a director of a series and you watch and preview a product you’re working on and watch it in what’s supposed to be it’s chronological order and find it lacking and find it not to be in line with what you had envisioned and can see it being better and wanting it to be better and improved and wanting to give the fans something you feel will be incredible and your best effort while you have a seemingly unlimited budget and wish to get back on the right track with both your series and movies and give us more than just the phenomenal show that loki is.
I’m actually kind of happy about it. To be honest I was convinced they where gonna ruin it anyways
Yeah tbh i think thats because of his appearance in she-hulk plus marvel/disney not knowing what fans want anymore or simply dont care aha
They still might 😂
If Marvel wants to make sure Daredevil meets expectations they need to bring back Drew Goddard.
I just think too many came out at one time and people were over it
Agreed. Of all the marvel shows on Disney plus, I personally liked it the most
I think the problem with The Falcon and Winter Soldier was lack of character development and rushing plot
But if simple effective and all the fans love it then they should stick with it
I liked the changes and glad theyre starting over to be more like Netflix Daredevil!
Yeah and not like he was in she-hulk lol
Nothing will change for the better untill Feige himself gets booted.
Hopefully, this means they decided to take the direction of the Netflix show and make Born Again look and feel just like the Netflix show.
This’ll only work if they get some of the people that actually worked on those shows and don’t make the show toothless.
Just give it back to Netflix , they did a far better job with this character than any Disney plus show
Between Daredevil and Blade, it seems like Marvel Studios is anxious about living up to the hype of its predecessors. It very well just could be performance anxiety at this point
Bring back all original cast and give elodie her own standalone elektra show
Dude, marvel or Disney in general have been such shit and writing for some time now.
@@Needler13 I know, I was hoping they'd be turning that around.
Yeah he was making a lot of sweeping statements that I didn't agree with.
Falcon and the winter soldier was good till they dumped in social justice themes. I’m not against social justice, but they didn’t cover it like Luke Cage did.
@@rodneynoriel1528I had no issues with them. 🤷🏿♂️
It's wild because as bad as DD Born Again being a lawyer show sounds, I've loved most of what they've done for TV. Loki and Wandavision especially.
Ngl your caption scared the crap out of me haha. Super excited for the series
I am so glad Marvel wants to make daredevil series are good
If Disney canceled a show on Disney Plus, how bad must that show had been.
They just want someone that's easy for them to control. At this point, why not just hire Tommy Wiseau to write their script?
This is a good sign. Hopefully they get their shit together before they start the Xmen era.
As long as we eventually get it, I’ll be okay lol. Missing daredevil
Yep!
So Matt Murdock's role in She-Hulk led us to this point: Man, the swings-and-misses from that show are, especially now, both significant & prophetic 😵 Let's hope they retcon the Skaar intro, too, eventually 🤞🏽
Love&Thunder, She-Hulk, Quantumania, Secret Invasion: I'm glad Born Again (temporarily at least) won't be added to the list of the dumpster fire the MCU's plots have been of late 🔥 I don't know how Mahershala Ali is still linked w/Blade some 4 years later after the project was announced with only a verbal cameo in Eternals to show for it 👀 It IS sad Daredevil has followed suit 😞 further proof of the ditch Feige's Fiefdom's currently in.
🙏🏾 real hard this change is the course correction MCU Fans are looking for 🙏🏾
#BringBackFoggyAndKarenPage
I did love that Daredevil fight scene in She Hulk
My only issue with this process retooling is that it took this long. Here's hoping they oull it off.
They have a really high bar to reach what Netflix did was great
Thanks, I hadn’t heard about the big delay/reboot of the series.
No, this is where I get (most) of my Marvel/MCU news. Can't lose this show, so I had to find out what you were going to say.
We'll still get a version of daredevil, just a better version than what they were originally going to deliver.
@@emergencyawesome Well I don't think anyone would have a problem with that! 😁
They should've done Eternals as a full-fledged tv series. That's definitely a Marvel movie that needed character development and great story telling across all those characters. Maybe they can go back and consider it if they're going to go down this new path.
I feel like Moon Knight was also really solid too, not perfect, but still pretty solid
Werewolf By Night is ANOTHER gem that went under the radar! X-Mas special was solid too.
Thank you so much for doing this video! Huge Daredevil fan . Really hope they bring back the writers from the Netflix series. More action packed 💪🏾
No problem!
Imagine being that team that got fired from the project. They were probably so happy to be filming Daredevil, and couldn't remotely expect that everyone would be fired eight episodes into filming. Crazy. But there were some definite red flags coming from that side of the Disney+ MCU.
They should take as long as they need to get the shows right. I’m happy to wait as long as I’m getter a better show at the end of it.
same!
Killing Karen and foggy, two of the most well loved and developed side characters in all of marvel, was so dumb and off screen too. Hope this factor is changed. It gives me more hope for the show because I was worried. Netflix daredevil is my favourite show ever.
Glad that they are listening to the fans hopefully we will get Karen and Foggy back too
No love for Moon Knight? I thought it was one of their better shows. Hawkeye was also fun to watch
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
Thank you! Will do!
Keep it up!!👍
I'd be perfectly okay with waiting an extra year or 2 for something really good instead of something disappointing.
Same! And I think everyone would ultimately agree. This is the best way to go.
I Totally Agree 💯
4 years for a TV show lol stop it
*Here's part of the reason*
Due to the strikes, several actors that couldn't participate in the show on its prior production schedule suddenly had some availability.
Probably a good thing, with his appearance on She-Hulk, I had a feeling they were going to turn him into a goofy superhero.
I AM HEART BROKEN 😢😢😢
NO HOPES OF THIS HAPPENING IN ANY WAY AGAIN?
Please learn english.
Thank you
You're welcome!
I appreciate them wanting to make this show the best it can be. Shows that they understand DD is a big deal to fans
@@TemariNaraannaschatzI agree
This is why Disney fails: they choose to do “other” things instead of what people love and want.
Just continue the Netflix continuity - hire all of the same actors. And tweak just enough to make it your own.
I was upset at first, but it's good to know that they're starting to scale back and focus on quality over quantity
yep!
I feel like this is showing the problem with announcing things years in advance I think Secret Wars has been delayed another year so it will release in like 2028
Should probably watch the video before commenting. Just a tip. This is great news.
It would be a dream come true if they just hired the same crew that made the Netflix Daredevil show.
Hopefully daredevil born again would be rated tv-ma after echo!
I think Loki has the advantage because of the casting and how the story itself directly connected to Kang's origin story. As we know, Kang is being presented as the next big bad in the Multiverse Saga and aside from What If...?, Loki is the only series in the MCU that's really focusing on multiverse storyline.
They need to just pick up after Season 3. The Netflix DD was perfect. Don’t mess with a formula that works.
I hope we see bullseye in daredevil born again
I would like them to try and bring in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Cloak and Dagger and The Inhumans show and work them back into the fold also.
my teacher and i were reading about this earlier, i was devastated when he got the twitter notification lol 😭
but now i'm glad to hear that it's so we'll ultimately get a better show
ABOUT TIME!!!! I have patience for quality.
My Spidey senses detect sarcasm
Quality control, has been the biggest issue, in Marvel, since the beginning of phase 5, IMO. Disney has been cranking out stuff, so fast, too fast, that not enough time is going into the polish, making sure that it is actually good material; quantity over quality, to boil it all down to. Now that Marvel is cutting things way back, and hiring people with the right experience, i.e., letting the movie people do the movie stuff, while letting tv people handle the tv/streaming stuff, the quality of Marvel will come back. One can only hope.
JUST BRING IN THE TEAM THAT WORKED ON THE NETFLIX SERIES!!!
You can tell both of marvel & Disney egos went high after Endgame
I want to see this show so bad… I’m so upset. I really hope they fix it and release it
I think this is good because they are following what I consider to be the best comic book television series ever.
The head writer of Loki season 2 was a writer for season 1. He wasn’t the main writer but he did work on the first season.
The Netflix Daredevil was so good that if they get it wrong there would be no doubt that they messed it up, couldn't blame fans, time slot, haters or anything. It would be, "we just messed it up." They would have to take that hit, because on Netflix it was hot fire.....I'm still watching the old show.
Im so glad i honestly had a feeling this was going to ruin daredevil by being like the she-hulk version hopefully they create a well developed story
The fact Kevin looked over the already filmed episodes and said, “Na fam this shit ain’t gon fly with the people” 😂
