If this thing had Thunderbolt 3, this thing would be a for sure buy! And, compared to the Ion and the flex, this one actually has the fingerprint sensor in a reasonable location. It's so damn beautiful!
I think Qualcomm has finally got it right now with the 8cx, 8c and 7c. They are making dedicated laptop chips/SoC with this range. 8cx for the premium range above $800, 8c between $500-800 and 7c below $500 laptops. This will help more people get into always connected ARM laptops and more and more developers will jump onto the ARM platform.
@@carholic-sz3qv I imagine that Samsung will lock down the BIOS, much like they did with the Galaxy Book 2. It has a Qualcomm processor and you can't boot from flash drive or disc at all.

If synthetic fingerprints are activated via NFC or other electronic transmission what's stopping thieves from digitally triggering the transmission for the purpose of copying it? I've also made my synthetic fingerprint available to a corporation with known ties to Moscow. The corporation which safeguards my identity must have unassailable security credentials. The idea is very interesting, but it seems to create more problems than it solves.
Nice one with that "stamina", great for most users but I think price might be lower, at least this first stage of getting the consumers confident to get into this ecosystem.
YES, but you can easily replace the fake fingerprint. If you lose it or someone steals it, it doesn't matter because the print on it is not your own. You can't just change your real fingerprint if someone steals it.

Dear TheUnlockr... Thanks for the excellent video review on this upcoming Book S! How do you suggest I can find this out before actually purchasing the laptop? What specific technical information do I need to give the developers of MyLifeOrganized and Simplemind, for them to confirm whether their software would work on this ARM processor. I would really appreciate your advice and guidance. Thanks. Gregory
I'd suggest going into a Microsoft store and trying to install them on the Surface Pro X. If it works on that laptop it should work on this one. Otherwise this laptop should be coming to the States soon and I imagine you'll be able to check it out in major retailers then as well
I had a look at both programs on my Samsung Galaxy Book2 which uses the similar Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 on Windows.. SimpleMind does not work but MyLifeOrganized does.
