Over C.J. Carr? Why do you say that? Just curious because we haven't seen a lot of Minchey (nor Carr). But the "conventional wisdom" is that Carr will be the guy next year.
@@raymason5996 So does CJ Carr. Denbrock is very high on Minchey, he's also very high on Carr. They'll both compete and the best man will win. People shouldn't dismiss either player.
Correct, Freeman never said it will be Carr. If Minchey stays he'll get a chance to compete, no doubt about it. I love Kenny, graded him as a Top 100 recruit, but he'll have to be at his best to beat out Carr. Carr is special, no doubt about it, but Kenny is very talented as well.
@@irishbreakdowngreat points, and, you MUST have/be developing 2 high level QBs...it's rare these days that a championship team goes all 14-15 games without needing a good backup(who just needed big game opportunities).
@@irishbreakdownI know it’s a small snap shot but just based off of what I saw in the only live game of both of them in a nd uniform in the blue gold game, cj looked much more impressive and comfortable in the pocket, as many have said in this thread kenny also was turnover prone in that blue gold game as well. Forcing throws that had no business being thrown that resulted in multiple picks and also missing easy throws (he also made a really good throw as well). I definitely see minchey potential but if I’m just going off the blue gold game it’s not even a debate for me I’m taking the guy who protects the ball and doesn’t get happy feet in the pocket.
@irishbreakdown agreed. I had Kenny starting this year over boot boy, and Angeli....we would probably still be undefeated, with our passing touchdowns doubled....
NDs QB room is solid and there is no need to add a portal QB, to include Manning. I can't wait to see who will start next year. Don't get me wrong the three QBs we have had from the portal love Notre Dame, especially Coan and Leonard. Sam Hartman brought a sense of much needed "humble swagger" to the program. But they were all Notre Dame men and bought into that 100% long before they stepped on campus.
So Jesse wants no five star high school quarterbacks to feel confident that they'll be a priority in committing to ND in the future? Idiocy pushing CJ Carr aside for a ship abandoning A.Manning. *And it's "moot point" not "mute." 😉
The Miami thing, it's more issues to me with these guys being worried about records when you are a 1 year transfer. If you were the hurricane qb for years and this the way you wanted to end your storied career, fine. But you were a hired gun.
Guys if Arch jumps in the portal Marcus will let Dembrock make that decision because he is the offensive coordinator. That being said we have seen Arch play he is already a good QB so Notre Dame better kick the tires if he jumps in the portal.
you guys just DO NOT get it. The in house guys are not good enough that is WHY they are looking in the portal. Arch Manning , Ewers are what they need to continue to win. Also, Angeli is there best QB on the current roster (besides Leonard) and it's not close
If true and they bring in another QB for next year, If I am currently in the QB room, I would be on the next flight out of South Bend. As for Carr, I am still shocked he did not go to Mich, and I still feel at some point that's where he graduates from. Same for Minchey, he will enter portal after 2025 season if not prior to 3rd game of next season like the UNLV QB did.
Why are people all over Arch? Because his last name is Manning? Dude can’t beat Ewers, who does not play well against quality competition, and when he does get on the field he hands off or runs the ball! And all accounts are Ewers is the GUY for Texas next year so again Arch is overrated in my opinion
Milroe is a graduate already and a mobile qb that can also throw it would be a upgrade for next year, it would be hard to say no to that. I like cj Carr but he is young and has zero experience in college game play. I would say no to anyone but Milroe. Klubnick and Manning are pocket passers.
What exactly has Milroe proved if you're seemingly marking him "elite"? Dude is inconsistent, and led his star-laden team to 9-3 in an overrated SEC with awful losses to Oklahoma and Vandy. Doesn't seem worth it at all to me.
@ are you trying to tell me a redshirt freshman with zero experience is better than a one year rental Milroe?!? He wasn’t the sole reason Bama lost those 3 games either if you watched them.
Kenny Minchey is the future

@johntucker5994 Michney fits Denbrock system according to a report I heard on a podcast... Plus Denbrock is very fun of Kenny Minchey 💪
@@raymason5996 ok thanks.
CJ is a Media darling because his famous Grandpa😒 Kenny fits the system better in my opinion.. BUT let the best man WIN#💯💯

Jesse you give Cowherd way too much credit. He's just an entertainer now days. Mr Click.
ND has the luxury of having 3 QBs waiting all of who could lead this team to the playoffs in coming years!
Ppl kill me ASSUMING Carr is the future.. FREEMAN NEVER SAID THAT😒 He said the FUTURE is in the QB room..🤷

Rapid fire and gripe about Cowherd for 5 minutes plus.
Cowherd is the author of confusion, he's trying to bring OUTSIDE noise to the TEAM!! He's not even a Irish fan is he?!

That’s funny Jessie!! When I played at clay 04-07 coach O’Neil would always say… if you dnt want to play hard… GO TO ADAMS!!

Minchey has wheels a giant arm but is his talent above Carr and company? If so why isn’t he ever mentioned as the next man?

If they get a top QB in the transfer portal they should go for it. It's a new age for college football. Can't be stuck in the past.
The prevent defense isnt supposed to be move the ball 70 yards in 15 sec....you should take pride and kept them locked down

Milroe is a two-year starter with the same number of playoff wins as Kenny Minchey and CJ Carr.
