No, hyundai provided lightly modified versions of the car for the testers to compare stock vs. lightly modified. These cars were prepared to show that they respond well to the aftermarket.
It's completely legal in any state to modify your car like that. I am pretty sure all they did was a cat back, intake, tune and suspension work. If you are in california, you need CARB legal parts for your engine for it to be legal.
Keep practicing. List of performance to-do's. Downpipe, tune, water meth/in cab boost controller.

Not! The first veloster is the Turbo version and see? It doesn't sound like that. So the one at 1:03 has an aftermarket exhaust.
That is awesome.
And the one at 1:00 has hyundai prf exhaust. Its like the white one im sitting in.
Imagine how many gear boxes were damaged while making this video, damn people learn to drive a manual the right way. Anyways I live how quick this little thing is.. I have a NAV but the turbo gives it that extra spunk!
4 years ago i went to a mini dealer- he said people are trading in porsches for the mini. this car gets 10 miles per hour if you want it to. it is still wide - but short by like 2 feet.it what i wanted but i want a tesla like it now dmmitt
do the lightly modified versions perform significantly better? and the salesman at the dealership where I'm buying mine said any modifications that don't use Hyundai parts will void the vehicles warranty. obviously modifying the engine internals or cars computer should, but I don't see why a cat back exhaust would. is what this salesman told me credible?
What's the deal with the Veloster with the orange rims? Is it a combination of Hyundai's accessories (heard an aftermarket exhaust too)?

I have nothing against those testing the car. Its when people try to do this on the freeway that pisses me off. I like the car though. Looks better than many others of the same size.

GT cruiser is another cheap fun car, the down payment that they charge on the Veloster could buy one all cash
way too much under steer the second Veloster sounded cool but wasn't any more agile or faster than the others.

What does this nonsense prove? This shows it's inadequacies more than anything. I like the car a lot. I never drive my car like that. This is what the young an impressionable do on the street.
We had one of these young impressionable idiots total my wife's car with her in it. The driver said she saw it on TV. My wife was injured pretty good thanks to these stupid car/driving ad's on TV.
