Diana is absolutely magical with what she can do. I’ve listened to her practically every day since she was 15. I thought that if she chose to continue she could be the next legendary artist. Pretty much everything she does is amazing in any language she does. One of her newer songs sung at Nika’s film awards for those who had passed over the last 3 years. It’s hauntingly absolutely beautiful. “Quiet Outpost” is from a movie of the same name. Enjoy whenever you can. Much love and appreciation from California.❤️🌈🍀🙏🏻😇❣️
Greetings from Scotland! So, this was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo.
Diana is a "Dramatic Contralto" Extremely rare, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice in female singers. Diana also has an added ability to naturally produce "Polyphonic Overtones", a singing technique in which the vocalist manipulates the resonances of the vocal tract to produce an effect of more than one voice appearing to occur. This can take a LOT of practise to produce, but for Diana it just happens naturally!
Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Primorsky Territory, northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It made it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia from which she has now graduated. She has an extensive entry in Wikipedia now which explains her sad but very inspirational early childhood.
She is now 21yo and she has already sung in *8 languages, Russian, English, French, Spanish, German, Ukrainian, Tatar and Arabic!!!(Unofficially she has also sung in an alien language "Chakobsa" from the film "DUNE")*
Diana once said in a TV interview "In principle, if you don't sing with your soul, you probably don't sing".

You've recently reacted to A Ha - Take On Me. While locked in during covid 16yr old Diana did a short reworking/cover of that song to thank her fans for their support at that time.
If you want to stay with discovering Diana's earlier work then Rechenka is definately next. Kwstas Vagias has archived it for us on his channel. It doesn't matter at all that the song is in Russian, 14 yr old Diana will communicate everything necessary.
More recent work? We're spoilt for choice... Try the music video Baikal from the film Spirit of Baikal. Again, dont worry about the language, be mesmerised by the experience.

👉 Diana's rendition of this song is unique and amazing. She has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her general range is C3-C7, the main working C3-C6) and her voice sometimes has polyphonic overtones. (Not everyone can hear that and many just say: There's something in her voice... that's it!)

In 2019 Diana sang this song in the singing competition 'You are super' (she was 15 years old). This competition is unique in the world, an international TV- competition, especially for adopted and orphaned children.
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered this unique competition and won twice.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to RUclips and soon she had millions of fans. She called us Friends.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here in "You are Super" as a juror, gave Diana a small apartment (37m²/ 398 ft²) in Moscow with the words: Live and sing!
There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020). Now she is taught by the great Alexandra Pismennaya, who was a student of Prof. Donskoy.
*Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). He is also a sponsor and a juror in this competition. His family is in the US now. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash Qudaibergen. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. Krutoy is also still in touch with Diana and he introduced her to Brandon Stone. The result: 1st CD in December 2021 and in June 2022 there was a gold disc.

At the age of 10, she was already singing "Oh Darling", "Yodel Time", and it's better to start with the soundtracks of Hans Zimmer "Dune", "It's Not time to Die" and the soundtrack from the presentation of the Russian film Award on July 01, 2024. Diana was, and probably still is the world's youngest dramatic contralto, hence the depth of her voice. She also has a polyphonic voice meaning she can sing two notes simultaneously.

One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" (2 years ago) entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" ruclips.net/video/cfTiQkJrLi0/видео.html. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.
I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.

Diana hid her face and voice from the judges and the audience until the 6th episode of the competition. She sang in different voices, which allowed us to see the range and versatility of her vocal talent. But the last 4 songs she sang with her recognizable voice and left the competition, taking off her mask according to the decision of the jury.

Always loved this song but Chris never made me fanatical about it the way Diana does. No disrespect to Chris Isaak but Diana makes it much more emotional and gorgeous than he did even though he wrote it. It was the same when she sang Indila's Derniere Danse and I found that while searching for Indila. Diana's voice is the best instrument around, to heck with Stradivarius, they never created an instrument with this much resonance. cheers from Canada.

It is a jazz blues type performance completely different than everything else you've listened to and I assure you you will absolutely like it. And there is also one other that she does and it's got a video that goes with it. Not only is it an amazing song. But she is unbelievably beautiful in it.
