Great review boys - I've pretty much learnt the game from this video by scouring all the pages over and over on pause. One thing to note - ANY model can capture an objective. Tactial Strength is activated when a unit contests an objective. So a Titan can sit on an objective but as soon as someone gets within 3" of it, it wouldn't be able to contest it.
You can take more than one strategic asset detachment. You can take one allied OR strategic asset detachment for each formation you have not to exceed 30% of your total points. Its on page 129.
THANK YOU for showing the transfers!!! I’ve watched a dozen videos now and nobody has shown any off! I can’t be the only person who likes transfers can I?!? lol subscribing just for that! (It’s midnight here but I’ll watch the rest of the video tomorrow!)
Great breakdown of what's in the box. It's a shame that not all the units are in the main book, but I hope it's more a case of 'buy a single army book' (30k) than 'dribble out rules across multiple books' (Necromunda). It looks like the rules are /pretty/ close to what the old Epic ended up with, so they only really look complex. Once you're playing it does even itself out.
Bit concerned about units being able to move before first fire units get to shoot. This means vehicle units will be inclined to move from and into cover (hide) before the opponent gets to take a shot.
(Caveat, I know the book is so new it's not even out, and anyone could be completely wrong without judgement!) You say around 57:45 that you can't have more than Strategic Asset in an army? Is that just simple a points thing, as I can't see where it says you can only have a single Formation from this section of the book in your Allied Force? From Strategic Assets: "...it encompasses a number of Formations that can be used as Allied Contingents within an Army." The picture of games on pg122-125 shows several armies with different Knight formations and a Titan one on the same sides. If I'm reading right, it seems that in a 3000pt game you can take 900pts of Allies, and if I take two Formations in my main force, I can also take two in my Allied force. So what stops this being a two separate Reaver Titan Detachments, each filling their own Formation?
Yeah the page before the Strategic Assets says an army can take a strategic asset formation, and I've read this as "only one" but it seems that you can indeed take multiple!
Watched in full once, and been skipping back and forth over and over. I can't find any way to fully use the Iron Hands 'Inviolate Armour' rule. There are no units with Feel No Pain, or seemingly any way to give it to them? Have I missed something?
Medicae special rule on the Command model grants FNP 5+ to everyone within 4" of it. That's the only thing I can see so far. So FNP vs Light normally but for IH, vs Light and Light AT (Which is pretty signifcant I guess). I bet there will be extra units down the line with more FNP too (hopefully not too many)

Alternating activations for the win. 40K should have been done that way.

Thanks for a really useful review and unboxing guys.
