      I will be doing a review soon. But in the meantime... I LOVE these air bags!!! at 55psi I have 0 sway and or bounciness from the rear and the biggest thing I noticed is when re-leveling the Jeep is braking seems much more effective with the nose not pointing upwards. Because I'm on the sand out on the beaches where I live I keep them at 40psi on and off road so that I'm not inflating and deflating all the time and that seems to be a good split for my use. A little stiffer on the road and just soft enough off road to not need dental work 😂

    2018 Jeep Wrangler JK here with the same 4” Mopar lift. Been looking for someone who has installed the HD version of AirLift. Look no more. After two years, presuming you still have the Jeep, are the air bags still serving you well? My bump stop plate has the same index from that bolt on the passenger side. I am going to reverse the bolt, ha. To funny to see the same thing! I blew a seal on one of my shocks , heavy load, bottomed out-lame. Wish I’d found these air springs sooner! Cheers

      I have popped an AirBag while towing a WAY to heavy trailer down a really bumpy back road, but airlift has a lifetime warranty so they just sent me another. You do need the (not included with this set) exhaust heat shield. This set was designed for the ram and that exhaust system isn't as close to the springs. But otherwise it's the best jeep add on along with HD JL big brake kit I've done. Highly recommend 👌

    I've been searching for which bags I'd need with Mopar 4". Thanks just ordered mine. I use the ARB single compressor. Although it works great. It is slow for airing up 37 from 10psi back to 30. If I did it again I would have gotten the dual compressor

      did you ever make a follow up video

    • @ianmburke
      @ianmburke  8 месяцев назад +1

      I don't think I did a specific video but they held up great I did have to replace one and needed a heat shield because it was too close to the exhaust, and just installed air lift air bags on my power wagon. I would buy these and the big brake kit as my first two must haves in any JKU I Ever get

      @@ianmburke I have the big brake kit too. One of the best mods I did. 37” with bead locks did not want to stop with out it.

    Great vid 🤙🏻 im running 5.5" Metalcloak springs in the rear... wondering what springs you are running? I guess the diameter will be the same. Does the height of your spring matter? Thanks!

    • @ianmburke
      @ianmburke  Год назад

      The springs are the ones that came with the Mopar Lift so they too are Mopar the height does matter they have spacer pucks for the tall ones too

    Curious to know a little more about the 1000 HD vs the 1000. I have a 2.5 inch lift now going to going to 3.5. Anyhoo I’m wondering if the 1000’s are even going to fit in my 2.5 inch lift springs.

    • @ianmburke
      @ianmburke  2 года назад

      I am not exactly sure, but if you measure the space inside the springs (inner diameter and interior height) and call airlift they will be able to tell you exactly what product will fit best- they are super helpful

    So I can't find your follow up review of the airbags, how are they

    • @ianmburke
      @ianmburke  3 года назад +1

      I need to do an update still! But I love them! They are great for stiffening up the rear end and allowing you to go back to having it soft for off road

    Hi Ian - Do you know the inner dimensions of your coils? Looking to get the HD for my 2013 jku. I contacted airlift directly and they said that the hd kit will not fit my jku and they directed me towards the red universal 1000 kit. I would prefer the black hd like you have. I've searched around online and cant find any useful info. Any info you can provide would be appreciated!

    • @ianmburke
      @ianmburke  9 месяцев назад

      My Jeep has the Mopar 4in lift installed so my coils are much larger so the HD was the size for my vehicle, but if your springs are stock you would need a different kit than the one I used

      Thank you for your quick response@@ianmburke! I am currently running a Rock Krawler 3.5in lift. My coil inner dimensions are 4in wide x 10in tall. Do you remember yours?

    Just a thought to improve your presentation. 1st of all I am fascinated buy how smart you are. You would benefit by a hands free video device... maybe some sort of GoPro, I’m sure you,be thought of this already.

      I appreciate it!! I do have a go pro and a really nice Canon 70D, the issue I find is that I don't really edit video (In my past life I did), and I also wouldn't be able to create content as quickly and (unbiased unedited). I currently can be ready to take on a project pick up my phone quickly capture all of the "necessary" points and at least make something and upload it while still working on the project no computer needed.
