No, you don't even need to take the router to AT&T. Just use their cellular data and connect it to the router. That's what I do and it works well for me.
@@Crown42- could you elaborate a little bit? As far as I have learned, I can’t even take the Sim card out of my own phone and put it in the router to use my unlimited data on my wireless plan.
The SIM card router is more for people who don't demand super high speed. It can really save money instead of subscribing from the telco. I personally tried it for almost a year for everyday online matters such as TEAMS, Netflix, RUclips, it was doing very well until my demand for speed increases that I actually went into subscribing for more speed... that means paying so much more.
I have connected my DVR to the router... When I try viewing using another network the streaming of the video is slow, but when i view using the wifi from the router the streaming is okay... What could be the issue?
Inside your network you will be getting regular Wi-Fi speeds. Connecting remotely you will get a portion of the upload speed of the 4g connection. It will always be slower.
Smartphone hotspot is as fast, if you have 5G, problem is it will drain your battery. SIM card router uses plug in power adapter, very useful for commercial shop and those who are not crazy about super high speed.
This was helpful thank you. Not usually a fan of text to speech videos, but yours is an exception
This was very helpful thank you.

Can you use this for streaming live 720p 60fps or more?
I have an AT&T phone plan with unlimited cellular data. If I took a router to the AT&T store to get a SIM card, would they charge me a separate fee?

If you compare the Internet reception speed of your smartphone and this router, where will the higher rate be? I'm planning to buy this model.

@@bohzalah does any of these variants already openlined?
It too slow . Don’t recommend it for video streams or pc usage.
I cannot agree with you. I've been streaming now for over a year from my laptop thru to my TV and it works perfectly. Absolutely no issues at all.
It depends on ur area and the speed coverage u are getting
how did you achieve that speed ... seems like you are not telling the truth... buddy
I think u need to have 5g coverage nearby ur place then only u can have 100mbps spedd
Too slow the internet is slow
There's a big speed difference
Dude, i hope you wouldn't speak like this on a date eh
The AI narration sucks.....

If you didn't setup properly, of course it wont work. Did you miss out any steps?
