I would have loved a character twist where wei young slowly changes Tuoba Yu’s character to the point where he stops being such a bad guy. He genuinely likes wei young and doesn’t hesitate to protect her. In the end even if he knows that wei young deceived him and doesn’t really like him he still chose to save her from being stabbed.
