Nice to look back on some more glory days at LCY! I never got to fly this BA Saab service to IOM from LCY, the one time me and my mate did this route- we ended up on an Embraer E-190 operated flight, something BA tried in the Summer of 2016 briefly. This is one cool video James!
That would have been a most interesting flight, across England, part of Wales and finally the Irish sea. I did the derry run from the (then) many Lancashire ports as a young person in the 50s and 60s.

very good video the sea front look like Hastings I spent 10 years their swell.
This was filmed during the one week of warm weather we had in July. Typical British summer!

Saab 2000 is the only propeller plane I like.
There are so many flight attendants with this "up up up UP, down down dooooown" tone. I hate that, when and where did that become a thing?
Unfortunately the route has been taken over by Loganair but still has a BA flight number

The Saab 2000 doesn't have them :) I'm now crew on this route and used to fly on this aircraft G-CDEB before she was returned back to the Eastern network and route.

Yes the SAAB doesn't have them. I now work on this aircraft's sister ship G-CDKA doing this exact route.
Phils right. The Saab has Autoflap instead. Once the aircraft has touched down the flaps retract from either 20 or 35 degrees, back to 15. This dumps the lift and is very effective. It’s a wonderful and versatile aeroplane.
