Hope you get out in it and have fun. Another tip for deterring thieves is to unplug the electrical lead to the ignition coil. Also you can remove the rotor arm from your distributor too for when it is left for longer periods. You can then buy a lock system to lock the bonnet and prevent access. It’s a shame people have to do this but there will always be scum of the earth ready to take advantage. I love how you’ve made this your own and hope you have great times in it. Be safe and enjoy.
Ooh i had one of these ,it was a safari ,I fitted gas shocks and parabolic springs....it had a 2.6l rover straight six..nice. Thats a sweet landy you have mate .
Nice Truck, it's a shame you have to worry about thieves. I have a 1991 ex-mod Defender 110 left behind by the British when they finished their training in Alberta Canada.
Nice S2! Love the military touches and you were right to keep the original patina. I have a 1975 series 3 I restored. Just to note your wipers are parked in the wrong position. You will have to open the wiper motor and adjust. Mike at britannica restorations has an excellent video on this. 👍
I guess you were joking about removing the wheel for security as you could just fit one of the spares!😂, also l liked your little joke about it being either ex-military OR RAF!😂
Hahah! Thanks. Turns out it was neither 😂 I actually did take the wheel off, I then left security nuts on, so they would have to saw off the security nuts, and there would be nowhere to fit any extra wheel. I needed to make sure they came back with a trailer to steal it if they wanted it badly 😂 I would have to repeat the process after each drive. That's a price what paying if you don't have a garage in London and other people want to take what you have. I only drove it a few times a month, so I didn't mind. It's now sold, which was a relief 😮💨
Screw those thieves. Glad they didn't get your rig, I've got no time or respect for people that think your property is theirs for the taking. That's a cool truck, I like the camo on it. Wheels look great too. Whatever happened to the F150? I got to drive a Gernadier a few weeks ago at on e of the US test drive events, it was pretty sweet. You definitely out of the market for one of those? Or maybe swoop in on one after your summer adventure? Enjoying the content, keep it up!
Yeah, I tried to rationalise it, but hard to... I sold the F150 to someone in Senegal a couple of months ago. I decided to put the money in Grenadier, but that didn't work out (for now)... Really? I'm jealous! I still am, but I'm just still a little upset that my order was messed up, and prices have gone up by 6k if I have to buy another one. Struggling to justify paying that right now. However, it is still on the cards. I'll take stock after the Morocco trip... Thanks for the following, appreciate it!

Thanks a million! I appreciate those tips. It is shocking the measures one has to go through to protect these things...

Thanks! It is a shame indeed. Ha, those ex-military ones with the chassis are gems. Hope you're enjoying it
Just use a piece of wood to stop the windows being slid open. Standard practice back in the day !
Thanks for the tip!
