They actually had 3 Seasons. It was a slow burn build up. It was a different kind of chemistry that bloomed into romantic love. Friendship caught on 🔥.
Bridgeton is great because it's attempting to showcase that true love can be expressed in different ways.

wasn't he directly asked if he was courting her? I suppose bc his ways with her were fairly obvious. I'm not gonna adress implied group pressure and toxicity or bodyshaming/aesthetic "rules" on women's outer appearance also on that conversation. Those deserve to be debated separately.

The interesting thing is in Season 3 he did not utter “I am a gentleman” once unlike Anthony last season because Colin knew when it came to Penelope he never was and never will be.
when it comes to the bridgerton men and their women they are UNHINGED and will break every rule for them
For me, the biggest regency rule he broke was really the one where he interrupted the dance between Pen and Lord Debling because it was so public and yooooo, that was literally declaring to the whole TON that 'this girl is mine' 😂 as compared to the others where it was a bit private and could still be covered with excuses.
it was extremely disrespectful to barge in during a dance! Colin was UNHINGED 😂 even if he didn't propose that very night, Penelope was already considered as unavailable at that point and Violet may as well be rushing them off to get married the next day 😂

I haven‘t noticed before that he arrived earlier than Pen at there meeting point. I know he was at the brothel but he wanted to get away so quickly because he didn’t want Pen to wait for him. That‘s so cute😭❤

Oh I think he had excellent character development it’s just that he didn’t have a lot of character exposition in part two because the focus shifted from Colin in part one to Pen in part two. In part two we had to rely more on Newts acting. It’s there though for the people paying attention.
This was pure perfection and might I say hilarious. Colin is and will always be my favorite Bridgerton.

That is solely because of Penelope's wallflower status. She was basically overlooked by everyone in the ton (even her own family), save for Eloise and Colin. This afforded her a status of invisibility, which is why there was no gossip (except for the Featherington Ball in the S2 finale and in S3 when their charm lessons are made known to everyone).

The ton bex shocked on their engagement was a big joke. This guy literally danced with her often from S1 to S3 in every ball they had and was often seen in corners with her talkx unchaperoned. Dts y his friends asked him dt question at d end of S2 abt courtx her. Dy constantly wrote letters to each other....Pen must hv mailed them usx d family's mail. Didnt Portia ever wonder?? Moreover, in S3, dy were definitely seen in their meetx places. U cnt tell me no 1 saw them talkx in d tent durx dat baloon hosts or d 2 of them walkx under dat tree & stayx there fr sm time or speakx often & usually standx together at balls jst lk Daphne & Simon.
