Hi Kenneth, love youre channel, taking it serious because you worked for a newspaper.(studied journalism myself here in the Netherlands.) Nothing compares to experience!!
Anyway; my old man came yesterday to me with a big smile in his face..(he is 79 years of age, born in 1945, in the war) he had a nikon
Nikon FE+ zoom in mint condition in his old hands
Not a scratch on it!! Just Unbelievable! Competely new! I looked him in the eyes that were flickering of pure joy. He said: its for you, bought it for 5 euros at the fleemarket.....
Imagine, 5 euro......
The set costs maybe now complete 270 euro...
It lay in a basket covered with old toys.......
Nice ist it!!! Thats now a special camera to me.
Greetings!!
What a sweet great story! Thanks for sharing it. Enjoy that camera!
I have an Nikon FE with a 55mm2.8 Ai micro Nikkor lens. It's working perfectly. It ha small dint on the prism. I love it.
A small dent is a beauty mark! Use it well, make great art!
more differences between FE and FE2...
FE will accept non-ai lenses, FE2 does not.
FE stays on when lever is pulled out (turn camera on) whereas FE2 will turn on for 16 seconds when shutter release is depressed half way.
FE2 has TTL for flash, FE doesn't.
also, meter needle acts differently between these 2 different cameras when AEL is engaged
I've gone all misty-eyed. I loved this solid beast.
Isn’t flash sync 125, not 90?
Yep 1/125. Thanks for the update. But the M90 speed is what I probably meant: The "M90" setting indicates a mechanical shutter speed of 1/90 second which operates independently of battery power. This is the only setting (except "B") which can be used when the batteries are exhausted or none are loaded in the camera.
Amazing video. Sir, Recently I bought the Nikon FE, my only doubt is that in manual mode, do I have too match the both needles while composing particular subject? As I'm new to Film Photography just wanted to know how this in built light metre works
Yes, match the needles. Once you get it set for a certain light, it will remain about the same. When in doubt, overexpose. You can't overexpose too much, the only thing that will hurt your images is underexposure.
Nice review. Question! What is the model number of the eye cup? I got a DK-3 eyecup but it doesn't fit.
+December Sounds That should be the one.
Oh, weird. But thanks!
Could you please do a review so that we don't have to see your face.
