Is there even a chance that gyno will go away if you are in your teens because all those google answers say it should go away by 2 years but I've seen no actual proof of any male answering if his gyno went away on its own? I started accepting my gyno but it's still annoying because it does not really look good and also I probably won't ever be able to have surgery. I live in Bulgaria where there are no good doctors and even if they are good they don't have the equipment to treat almost anything at its best potential. There's also a 0.0001% chance for my country to pay for treatment outside of Bulgaria because it doesn't cover any insurance and also my grandma once had eye cancer and they either had to remove her eye or get sent to Germany but they were ignoring her request until she threatened the civil servants or whatever they are called with a very possible media scandal. So even if you are in your right it's hard to make your country pay for your treatment and imagine cosmetic surgery. Hey doc I have pubertal gyno and I used anabolics in my 20s but it didnt make the gyno worse. If I get surgery and all the tissue removed and I use anabolics after again, is there a risk it can come back? Or impossible if the tissue removed? Thanks and btw your videos are awesome
Yes, continued use of anabolic steroids can cause recurrence (regrowth) of the gynecomastia tissue. So, on top of all of the other health improvements, use of anabolic steroids is not recommended, especially post-gynecomastia surgery.
3:56 - good definition of gyno in my opinion broadly - but it opens it up so that anyone and everyone could have gyno if taken to the extreme and if they think they do and are bothered by it. Do you ever have cases where you don’t end up performing a procedure? My understanding is that all males have some gland. Do you have guys that come in and you determine don’t need work?
Yes. We don’t operate on everyone. If we don’t feel that we can achieve desired results or the expectations are unrealistic we will not schedule for a procedure.

I can feel the gland behind my nipple. It's not protruding and there is no pain, but if I take a big squeeze above and below my nipple, I can feel the firm gland. Is this gyno or is this normal? Should I be able to feel the gland if it's not gyno?

If you're unsure, the best way to know if you have gyno or not is to get examined by a professional with gynecomastia experience. A much longer and more complicated way is by losing weight and if tissue remains afterwards, it is most likely (but not always) gyno.
what to do after 5 weeks of surgery if chest nipple area is soft and numb from tip and other chest area feels hard and mild pain is there(there is no discolouration)?
Is it normal to have loose skin over the abdominal area immediately after surgery? Basically, not being able to see your abs anymore for a while, despite being a low bf%
When I had my gyno surgery they also done a liposuction around both breasts. I wasn’t particularly fat, what this done was make my chest far too flat in my opinion. Now I’m a worried that my stomach sticks it further than my chest does. I’m trying my best to put size on in the gym but I feel like my chest looks super flat, can anybody relate to this?
I had the same done and I can relate. I think it's an adjustment because, in a way, the gyno made my chest appear bigger than it actually was. Fighting to put more size on my chest too!
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "nipple encouragement", but the vast majority of patients develop gyno from an imbalance of hormones (more estrogen than testosterone) during puberty that causes they gynecomastia tissue to develop. Regardless, it's not very important to know about what caused it because once it's removed properly, it's gone forever.
Where does the tissue come from must be from foods smoking drinking coffee estrogens foods etc when he was young he didn't have that so it must come from some chemical reaction through something which should be revearsable over time without surgury
@@frankr7239 okay so every case is the same, how it was with you one way it was with him the same. I think it's strange you can give such a specific and detailed diagnose with one look and such confidence. while not even being a medical professional
Hey doctor you are awesome. I have a question. If I lower my body fat and make my chest muscle developed then do the surgery it will give better result?
@@DrCaridi I know that surgery is the only option. But I'm asking if I go shredded with proper muscle then just remove the gland is will give better result??
Do you run into these same troubles with natural bodybuilders or just with bodybuilders that use steroids? How fast can one go back to training after this?
No, it would not and actually only the reciprocal is true. The bottom line being that the closer you get to your ideal BMI, the better results you can expect.
I am a 55 yr old man. I had an underlying disease that apparently caused gyno beginning at puberty. I have genetic haemochromotosis. The Celtic curse. I had early puberty at 11. My body type is muscular, barrel chested. I have lost 33 lbs from 235 to 202lbs. Want to get t0 27 BMI is supposedly ideal So Even if I lose more and build muscle, the flabby tit stays At 21, I weighed like 165 5 9. height. 32 inch waist. I still had puchy tits. I since had NH lymphoma. The blood issue caused joint failure. Hormones were disrupted by the iron overload, liver function. Caused the gyno? So, Im on the mend losing as much as possible, get in better shape, diet was changed yrs ago to g free due to intolera ce.
The initial healing process after lipo can and will cause some of the sub-dermal tisse to scar/ buildup collagen that feels like small lumps of hard fat. For me, I got it done at ~10% bf but the lumps were minimal and the final result is incredible. The lumps also went away after about a month and a half post-op
I just had gyno surgery, my surgeon seemed only focused on removing gland. I pointed out what I thought to be excess stubborn gyno fat on my upper chest but he didn't feel gland so he didn't mark it. Is he right or am I? Mind you I'm below 18% body fat so I shouldn't have that much fat there, its not a lot but still seems like more than normal. It would have only taken a few extra minutes of lipo to get it I feel.
@@DrCaridi Thanks doc, he was right and I was wrong lol 9 days post op and its looking pretty good. I took a chance going to a surgeon who uses a different technique than most of you guys but looks like its paying off. He uses the lateral pull through method which is apparently pretty advanced and takes a lot of skill and experience to perform. Dude is an artist and I should have had more faith in him. His name is Dr. Ronald Schuster in Maryland if you were curious.

Good question, Colin. When all of the gynecomastia tissue has been removed, particular immediately under the nipple-areola complexes, recurrence is highly unlikely no matter what you do. Every cell of gynecomastia tissue can’t be removed so there is always a possibility of recurrence, but it is very uncommon when the focus of treatment is to remove all the gynecomastia tissue.
@@DrCaridi thanks for the reply so if am am currently experiencing gyno and can feel it progressing but for other medical reasons must continue to stay on hormones. Should I wait till it subsided to get treatment or if I get it to early will it come back?
I understand vaser helps isolate the gland, but I feel on low bodyfat or puffy-nipple-only cases like this one (and mine) that fat is precious. Is it really necessary?
Yes, while VASER liposuction does help isolate the glandular/gyno tissue as a byproduct of fatty tissue removal, more importantly, it helps "break up" the gyno tissue, making it easier to remove, as well as help control bleeding. In most every patient, even those with low bodyfat, VASER is used to sculpt fatty tissue so that the chest is not uneven. How much fat is removed will vary greatly and is dependent on the situation, so it may only be a very small amount.
hey doc i am 18 i have this so i got my chest scanned and i got to know its fat areolar tissue , so do i need to exercise or surgery is the only option?
If it is indeed fatty tissue (fat), then no, surgery is not needed. However, if it is gynecomastia tissue, then exercise would not help and surgery would be needed. I would get a second opinion from a gynecomastia expert to confirm one way or the other, as gynecomastia is almost always present and it isn't just fat.
There is ZERO empirical data to show a correlation between diet and gynecomastia development, nor does protein have any effect on gynecomastia development.

Mine never went away. Mine looks like the guy in the video.
Hi there. Do you regret using anabolics at all? Or are you really happy with the results? And have they changed your physique forever?
Cost for this guy's procedure? Ball park? 🙏
Why isn’t this doctor not in my country😭
I was wondering is the price rang ?

To Westlake Plastic Surgery Center Hello Doctor, I really admire your professional work.Iam having Gyno removed next week,I have some questions, How many days-off would you recommend I shoud take to resume work?I mean, I work in an office not really a work that needs physical effort .My second question is: After removing the gyno ,it's gonna leave scars on both sides, can I have those scars lasered off with fractional Co2 laser? How much should I wait to get them lasered off? Thanks in advance.Peace from Algeria.
These are questions that you should ask your surgeon, as each surgeon will have their own recommendations. Good luck with the procedure!!
I can feel the gland behind my nipple. It's not protruding and there is no pain, but if I take a big squeeze above and below my nipple, I can feel the firm gland. Is this gyno or is this normal? Should I be able to feel the gland if it's not gyno?
Heath Franklin There are many factors that come into it, so I suggest that you first read my blog post on it, westlakeplasticsurgery.com/do-i-have-gynecomastia/?RUclips&Social&AGC&F-axdoZrw-comments. Is there anyway to tell if you have gyno or just fat if you have some fat on you?
If you're unsure, the best way to know if you have gyno or not is to get examined by a professional with gynecomastia experience. A much longer and more complicated way is by losing weight and if tissue remains afterwards, it is most likely (but not always) gyno.
Sir u r from which country?
Located in Austin, Texas!

what to do after 5 weeks of surgery if chest nipple area is soft and numb from tip and other chest area feels hard and mild pain is there(there is no discolouration)?
Can you book an online consultation even if you’re not interested in gynecomastia surgery at this moment?
You most certainly can!
If I have gyno surgery, could you exercise your chest or would that end up with some problems?
You can go back to working our after about s month post-op!
This guy just got his surgery done by a retired mafia boss
Doc is nipple encouragement known gyno? Because lot of people have this from their childhood days
Is this local Anesthesia?
Hey doctor
Are you in England?
I am in Austin, Tx.
It looks like tissue or muscle
Where does the tissue come from must be from foods smoking drinking coffee estrogens foods etc when he was young he didn't have that so it must come from some chemical reaction through something which should be revearsable over time without surgury

Hey doctor you are awesome.
I have a question. If I lower my body fat and make my chest muscle developed then do the surgery it will give better result?
Losing weight always portrays better results, but if you have gynecomastia, the only way to get rid of it is surgery.
@@DrCaridi I know that surgery is the only option. But I'm asking if I go shredded with proper muscle then just remove the gland is will give better result??
Wait, is that guy a bodybuilder?
Do you run into these same troubles with natural bodybuilders or just with bodybuilders that use steroids? How fast can one go back to training after this?
Natural bodybuilder also can get gyno but if you didn't get gyno during puberty the chance of you getting gyno now is quite small
what is gyno
Gynecomastia is the appearance of a female-like breast in a male.

Would it better for someone who does bodybuild to gain a little fat prior to having this surgery?
No, it would not and actually only the reciprocal is true. The bottom line being that the closer you get to your ideal BMI, the better results you can expect.
@@DrCaridi sorry doc, but does that mean the leaner the better as my ideal is 8-12% bodyfat
@@izanfrizan161 Yes, that is correct, per se. If you're ideal BMI is 8-12% bodyfat, then your best results will be when you are within that range.
I wish I can come to you I only have it in my left nipple how much do these procedures cost.
Same problem with me
I am a 55 yr old man. I had an underlying disease that apparently caused gyno beginning at puberty. I have genetic haemochromotosis. The Celtic curse. I had early puberty at 11. My body type is muscular, barrel chested. I have lost 33 lbs from 235 to 202lbs. Want to get t0 27 BMI is supposedly ideal
So Even if I lose more and build muscle, the flabby tit stays
At 21, I weighed like 165 5 9.
I want to leave my gynécomastia
I took pills when I was crossdresser. Now I have this boobs like a female. I wanted to remove this because I decided to do body builder. 😭
Well, you now know how to get that done!
Doc is it wise to get lipo as a bodybuilder i heard at sub 10percent your body will look wierd if you get lipo in the chest
I can't comment without examining you. Hopefully you're both right.

Seen surgeons using fat flaps before, nice work there!
So if you continue to take substances like hormones or pro hormones after the gyno is removed will it come back?
How much fat is removed will vary greatly and is dependent on the situation, so it may only be a very small amount.
sir I am also suffering from gyno in 14 years old age can you suggest me some exercise
Yash Singh Unfortunately there are no exercises that will help and the only treatment for gynecomastia is with surgery.
you aint telling me that piece doesn't look like a piece of chicken

My chest is OK but left nipple is fluffy not as flat as right nipple!
Prudhviraj M It quite possibly may be gynecomastia.
hey doc i am 18 i have this so i got my chest scanned and i got to know its fat areolar tissue , so do i need to exercise or surgery is the only option?
If it is indeed fatty tissue (fat), then no, surgery is not needed. However, if it is gynecomastia tissue, then exercise would not help and surgery would be needed. I would get a second opinion from a gynecomastia expert to confirm one way or the other, as gynecomastia is almost always present and it isn't just fat.
But what if you dont have fat, to stitch it up?
you keep a little piece of gland to prevent an unaesthetic depression under the areola
