Anyway I could rent one of these? Can't afford the insane amount companies are charging to remove zonolite professionally. I could do it myself in a day with this.
Exactly. I will call to get a expense estimate for my roof. It’s been a source of anxiety for some time and I don’t have the budget to have someone else do this.
Okay i called and they only manufacture and sell this product. The receptionist directed me to speak to a rep that knows of a contractor the MIGHT rent this equipment but couldn’t be sure. I left a message but I don’t think it’s possible unless the equipment is purchased I didn’t think to ask. It doesn’t seem anymore sophisticated than a commercial vacuum with hepa filter with steel drum collection. As long as you have the protective equipment and take all the precautions it’s doable.
Did you ever get your attic cleared out? I have the same issue in my attic but don’t have the funds for professional removal and looking for DYI solutions
Hi Cory, thanks for the interest in Ruwac's Attic Vac. If you fill out a contact form on our website - www.ruwac.com/contact/ we will have a regional distributor reach out to you with more information!
What do you call the vacuum? I get your point though... I would have an inline duct fan pushing through a hepa filter inside the containment area and then vented outside.
So that's what it's like to stare death in the face...
No gloves and only a half face?? Jesus. We use papr and a hurricane 500
Holy Vermiculite Batman

No gloves... smh
@Matt Miller lol you can't get dust on your hand? I'd rather just toss some gloves then wash the hands throughly

It will have asbestos in it. Almost guaranteed.
How much did that vacuum cost??
