John Lovell just finished Acts and now he's going through Romans? Buckle up because this is gonna be awesome! Thanks so much for your ministry brother John!
Pastor I would like to add to your message on when we pray how do we pray. I have found that when I pray I also include asking my Father if there is anything I can do to move in the need of others. How can I do something to comfort or relieve someone in the burden that they carry. This way of praying has been life altering. Thank you for your love for the gospel and the work you do! I pray God give you fruit for the harvest.
I’ve felt, for almost my entire life a hole in my heart for my father, with whom my mother divorced and relatively shortly thereafter passed away because of a motorcycle accident. Not once have I thought to fill it because nothing in this world can. Maybe I’ve been thinking about never being able to fill it when this whole time I’ve been thinking about the wrong father.
Bro… jumping into Romans in an election year, in todays sexually immoral world, with a smile on your face?! Did we just become best friends? Rock on man. Pumped and listening w intensity.
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39
I'm no authority, but I do believe a father who loves his child still punishes them when they do wrong. I think God loves all the souls in hell, and he weeps for the position they chose. I'm here to learn and get answers though, cuz obviously I don't have many. Just my thoughts.
@@RandalMyers-vk4fx Our father is a just, merciful, and patient God who wishes that no one should wind up in hell, so much so that he sent his son to earth specifically for the purpose of being sacrificed to pay the debt that we owe for our sins. We know that he is just, because there is punishment for sin, but we have to choose it to wind up there. He affords us every opportunity to turn back and to repent. It is a choice, though, he’ll punish us, but he’d rather not if we’re only willing to accept the responsibility for the actions we’ve taken, and embrace the gift of sacrifice and redemption that he has provided us.
@@RandalMyers-vk4fx if you’re asking, if salvation is eternal, the answer is yes because God doesn’t do half measures, and it’s embodied in us by the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the guilt and shame that we feel when we sin.
Pastor John, and the other guest pastors I have seen online at Grace city church, have a way of preaching I connecte with. Is there any affiliated church in North Central Ohio? This is a great community, but ultimately it is lacking due to the need for a screen. I don't think I'll ever stop listening as long as the videos are being made, but a real life community is necessary. A wise man once preach on the necessity of a man having a tribe. I'm without one.
I understand that monetization is helpful for the church. However the amount of commercials that break into the sermon is very disruptive and distracting from the message. Just something to consider. Keep bringing the word!
I have had a commercial every minute on the minute. I am sure the money is going to a good cause. I would gladly pay for no commercials. Love wpsn and johns sermons, but cant fit this in as is to my sundays anymore.
John Lovell is a great pastor. But serving God is not volunteering for a church service. Serving God is helping widows, homeless, children, spreading the Good News, teaching the world about God and Jesus, serving everyone around you through kindness and selflessness showing the world the Light in the darkness, it’s not volunteering for a church service. That’s not a bad thing to do but understand what the difference is. GodBless y’all
Thanks!! I'd say though, that my definition of the church is wider than merely our 'church service'. Every Christian serving whether through a formal 'ministry' or not, is in fact, the church. Some service is through formal ministry. Some is done by individuals spotting a need in their circle of influence. But if they are Christians, it is 'the church' in action
@@WarriorPoetSociety I meant no disrespect, I just see a lot of church’s singling out serving God as volunteering for church service. I don’t think that’s was you were pushing. For the new Christian’s I want them to understand the difference and know that it’s not a bad thing to volunteer for your church in fact I think it’s really good to help out.

Good sermon, but you misunderstand the Catholic faith.
