Marlon was the God of acting. He was and is perfection. I keep his movies to see over and over and NEVER tire of them. Which other actor fits this description? None. Can you imagine having so much repeat value. If ythey ran a retrospective of his films even now theyd have to run each movie repeatedly for a weak in four shows and yet they would have housefulls.
Brilliant actor, but a terrible father. His daughter committed suicide and his son was a murderer. Famous people should not have children - it is not fair to the child. Just because people have talent in one aspect does not mean they are good people.
@@LaurenceDay-d2p neither does it mean that they are bad people. Each person brings his own destiny, how can Marlon be blamed for Christians actions or Cheyenne s suicide. She had lied to her brother that Dag drollet used to beat her
He also for all intents and purposes, raped the girl in last tango in paris. Its stunning how many people are in these comments sections praising him but no one ever mentions this.
@FilmThePoliceFTP no he didn't rape her. He simulated it in fact he and the girl remained friends for life. Though she never spoke to the director again.
@8lata no... Brando and bertolucci did not tell her about the scene until the day of (it wasn't in the script) nd they didn't tell her what was going to happen because they wanted her reaction to be "real". That's called rape. Sexual assault at the very least.
Vivien Leigh's performance in "A Streetcar named Desire" I find even stronger. Arguably, she also had the more difficult role to play: Someone who plays a role herself most of the time and has increasing difficulty to discern between herself and her roles. She also has the greater character arc. Her gradual descent into despair, then trauma and madness is hard to pull of. She was astounding, and even more naturalistic. Marlon Brando's performance sometimes seems forced, he is giving 110% or at least trying to. He admitted as much himself once.
Marlon Brando is a genius of acting!!! Just like Alain Delon. There is no one who could surpass them. There were many good actors, But these two have not yet been conquered by anyone like Chomolungma.
Anyone who would describe Marlon Brando as Neanderthal has not seen him play Mark Anthony in Julius Cesar or Napoleon he was a highly intelligent human being who believed passionately in humanitarian causes
Each actor has to find their own techniques, whatever works best for them to make characters believable and relatable. It might even be different techniques for different roles. Or not.
I thought this video was about Brando's preparation for the play, instead you said: "he was a method actor and using the method is what he did. Then you continued to show some comments about his performance and somethings about his life. How disappointing!

A Streetcar Named Desire Is One Of The Most Realistic Films Ever Made.
Even though hampered by the Production Code.

my mother had an uncle years ago who looked like James Dean she said! 😱
Just streetcar alone made brando the greatest actor of all time.
Still studied and analysed by actors 75 years later.
Anyone who would describe Marlon Brando as Neanderthal has not seen him play Mark Anthony in Julius Cesar or Napoleon he was a highly intelligent human being who believed passionately in humanitarian causes
This is the reason our dog is named Stella- 😆

Cary Grant 'classically trained?' Before Hollywood, he was in vaudeville.
Quite obvious you have never seen Hollywood actor Mr John Garfield perform, now that is a true Method Actor, many years before Brando.
He was the first choice for Stanley-Turned it down.

Cary Grant was not a ‘classically trained’ actor! He started as an acrobat and worked in vaudeville.
Godfather did good like always
In the next video, you should make it to jacob elordi
That’s a good one 🦾
Lol why? He’s a pretty boy. He’s not a REAL actor like so many others who came before him
Make one about Sam Rockwell
Because I want to know how he gets into character
❤
Everybodys an actor
This is NOT true. Brando s guru teacher was STELLA ADLER. NOT THE METHOD OR STRASBERG WHO HE LOATHED.
SANFORD Meisner.
