- This is the Director's Cut of the Music Video for "THE HOUSE RULES", Christian Kane's New Single. The video was filmed at Dante's in Portland, OR by Director Timothy Hutton and edited by Noah Hutton. The ambitious opening shot was done by steadycam operator Gary Camp. Jose Behar and Rachel Olschan Produced the video while Christian Kane was the Executive Producer. Thanks to all the Kane fans who showed up to appear in the video and to Dean Devlin & Electric Entertainment for their support!

I was an extra in this video. Wife and I are down front in the crowd. Took 8 hours to film this. Timothy Hutton directed it. We filmed it at Dantes Sinferno in Portland Oregon. Beth Riesgraf was there taking pictures all day but wasn't in the vid. Got to meet all of them. That night he did a full show after filming was done. It was cool how the Leverage cast spent the day supporting him, and it was cool to work for Tim Hutton for a day.
I was there too. I was in the middle near the post with the projector. Flew in to do this because we filmed on my birthday.
That is so cool. Is Christian Kane as nice as he seems? Thanks for sharing that that would have been nice

Loved the video! I am absolutely obsessed with Christian Kane, his music, his acting, his cooking, his stunt work. I can not believe that I have just discovered all things Christian Kane. His songs are just amazing, such a talented songwriter, and his voice is incredible. Hope we hear more music from him in the near future.

This is a gorgeous bit of cinema, it provides a sort of intimate contrast between the energy of the song and the goings on. Fun, fun times.
The fact that the opening shot up to the point that Kane walks on stage is a single, continuous steadicam shot impresses me every time I see this video. Not only was the camera work flawless, to be able to fill up the bar complete with dancers in cages in just a single minute is incredible. This is my favorite Kane song.
Took 4 takes to get it, which everyone said was astonishing given the logistics. But Kaniacs can do a lot when they get together. Lol

I love Christan's character on Leverage and would like to see him do more on the screen, big or little. I love his voice. I knew when we heard him on the show that he'd probably put out an album. So far, great idea. Keep it up Mr. Kane. Looking for more in the future.

I love how he close friends with almost everyone he works with. Timothy Hutton directed this & Aldis Hodge makes a cameo as the security guy (both Leverage). He's still good friends with David Boreanaz & Juliet Landau (Angel), and Jensen Ackles & Riley Smith (short film). I think he seems like a really cool guy to be friends with:)

It's so weird, I used to drink and see shows at Dantes all the time 9 years ago and it was a lot of punk, indie and rock bands but rarely ever country. It's a great place, I'm glad Kane found a home there.

Dang! Two minutes Six seconds for that opening Steadicam shot! Great work on the video all around. The man has so many skills! Some folks spend decades to master any ONE of'em. I've been a fan of Chris Kane's Acting for years, but once I got started in the industry I was putting in a lotta hours & only got to see his work occasionally, sometimes long after initial release. Working on the peripheries of productions w steadicam, cranes, lights & all, makes me ask: How did they get the CRANE into that space?!?!? Disassembled then reassembled?? Then repeat to Exit...
