I love to visit Fiji and learn about the culture and heritage. Especially the Indian Culture . The Indian was sent to the Caribbean and Fiji in the 1800"s to work on the sugar plantation from India.
You must be referring to the indentured labor system that also included the girmitiyas, especially when their Hindi didn't die out like in the Caribbean.
Yes here in Fiji we let the India run the Government and they stole and loot our money by over paying themself,$40,000 a month while the people of Fiji are struggling $2/hour.Just last year they raise it to $3/hour for more than 14 years.. So thank God we got a new Government now,and all those sick bastard are been investigated. With the lead of an idiot Prime Minister a Navite Fijian Bainimarama which they play him and he didn't even know what's going on around his back. And he still have guts running his mouth at the parliment house. Thank God they put a pup hose in his mouth and shut him off 😉. But don't get me wrong their is some good Indian people here too.
