This band deserves so much more attention. So lovely, so well structured, so metal. It's an underrated awesome band and it deserves more. My Earth Dream is a masterpiece, for example.
Edenbridge never disappoints when it comes to their songs. Can’t say the same about their videos :( They’re for sure the most underrated metal bands in the scene. I love and follow them since the beggining and it’s just a pity they never happened to play in Brazil...
I like this band because they are so unique and have really done their recordings and mastering correctly, the vocals do not drown the actual music, feel the power.
I'M SO EXCITED THEY'RE BACK! I'd missed the memo that they were writing again. Edenbridge has been a love of mine since middle school, and I love singing along with them. YAY

I wouldnt go quite that far. EB is pretty much similar themes these days but Sabine is a classic fem singer and Lanvall is an amazing musician. I know this band and like them alot, but I keep telling Lanvall he is playing it safe and not expanding into more challenging music. To so many people that dont yet know EB, the last 2 albums should be amazing for them. Its GOOD just not excellent and those 2 are capable of so many better things.

Cara conheci eles através do Angra em 2004, desde então se tornou umas das minhas bandas do coração, tenho todos os albums e amo todas as fases, o Sunrise é lindo mas confesso que a produção deixa a desejar e Sabine ainda estava evoluindo seu vocal, a impressão que tenho é que o album foi gravado na garagem do Lanvall, é gritante a diferença para o Arcana tanto em termos de produção e vocal, mas nem por isso deixa de ser um album lindo, vejo tem que uma galera aqui to Brasil que comenta na page deles e aqui também, é revoltante que nunca tenham vindo ao Brasil, eu sempre perturbo as produtoras mas eles alegam que é uma banda que não possui público, em 2013 quase vieram, espero que esse ano role, ou algum dia.
Conhecia eles antes da participação da Sabine no Angra, a primeira vez que a ouvi foi na Metal Opera argentina INFINITY do Beto Vasquez no primeiro álbum. Sinceramente o primeiro álbum é o meu favorito, é mais simples a voz da Sabine é mais angelical, nos álbuns seguinte já uma voz mais encorpada, mais madura e vale ressaltar que não existe álbum fraco deles! Eles tinha que vim para o Brasil junto com Dark Sarah.
Gente, vamos lembrar que Sabine passou um tempo afastada por problema na voz, enquanto que Lanvall vivenciou o suicídio do pai e está ai, dando a volta por cima com dois álbum desde a parada em 2010, e o projeto Voiciano. Os anos passam e a voz muda, é normal. Mas a essência do Edenbridge é a mesma!
i listened to Edenbridge for 1 reason and thats i live in a place where we have a bridge called the Edenbridge many a happy time listening to this band b4 i ever seen the people that played,,if im honest i was pleasantly surprised that Sabine is very bonnie love her smile but although unusual the lasses thumbs are soo beautifully bendy and thats a compliment but most wont understand that but hey ho luv the band

Well, the video is as low-budget and meaningless as it can get =) But I think this band is one of the most underrated on metal scene. Really happy that they're releasing a new album.
RE: new album = maybe. This band has talent. Lanvall who I have known for around 10 years is one of the best guitarist in all metal (listen to his solo = Empire of the Sun). Sabine has a really GOOD voice. Not great, grand or extrodinary, but really good. The thing with them is this new album is half assed and really a discredit to what they can do. Consider this song = the exact same tune as SHIANTARA. I got a preview issue of the album and was oh so mad. Almost every song on its all I can hear is ALL THEIR PAST SONGS. THE BONDING by compare was a masterpiece and I forced Rolling Stone mag to review that and challenged them up front that Edenbridge was as good or better than Pink Floyd. RS did indeed have their entire staff listen to that album and their review was indeed exactly what my claim was. Even though that album was not released USA until May (same month as RS review), it actually made the top 100 albums in rock/metal in the US in that 7 months remaining and no nightwish on that list anywhere. I was pushing Lanvall for the past 2 years to record some new material. Maybe they are tired veterans who are kinda over it now. I still think they have much material within their midst and my support for them is to simply find that because they are just too good not to pursue their gift.
@@kgtmustang The only criticism I generally have of Edenbridge is that Sabine could reach more into the emotional depths when singing. I think she has some of the best vocal techniques in the genre and great control of her voice. But, in some cases there's an emotional flatline or sameness in terms of her singing style that can make certain songs blend together. Again, this could be a personal choice as English isn't her first language, so I don't want to sound too critical. But that's really the only thing I can think of as to why Edenbridge isn't as popular as they should be. The musical structure and lyrics of their songs are fantastic. I'll agree with you on Edenbridge vs. Nightwish. Edenbridge has better consistency in terms of their musical output and quality. Lanvall doesn't seem to be hampered by his ego the same way Tuomas does and the end result really shows how reigning that in can benefit the musician/composer. I also don't think Nightwish has ever had a masterpiece of an album. Yes I know those are fighting words but for me it's true. They've come close but the ego problem has kept them from greatness. Whereas Edenbridge, even on their lacklustre albums, has still been a quality act.

Nightwish is a TABLOID BAND and exist on the P T Barnum offering of "There is no such thing as bad publicity". However, there are limits to this. Edenbridge has shown CLASS, DIGNITY, and INTERGITY. Although Sabine is not an emotional singer, that comes from her Austrian upbringing and I have been talking to Lanvall about this for 10 years now. SHE IS ENGAGING. LIVE IN EDEN is a REALLY GOOD CONCERT. The real thing is that commercialism was brought in by Halopainen and suddenly it was all movie theme songs. Not quite what we had all come to love and respect from SYMPHONIC METAL. There is good news though as the Nightwish commercialism has been PUSHED ASIDE by ALL THE BANDS basically and a version of fem metal especially is having a resurgence. Anette Olzon is critically acclaimed with THE DARK ELEMENT. AILYN HAS A BRAND NEW BAND as far as most are concerned anyway called HER CHARIOT AWAITS and I warn all who venture there.....THIS IS NOT LIGHT AND FLUFFY AILYN. THIS IS SUPER DARK. Even Manuela Kraller is doing some fem metal stuff again. ALSO I AM SEEING A HUGE NUMBER OF BRAND NEW BANDS ACROSS THE BOARD and many are saying they were inspired by Olzon. Tarja once inspired people which is what gave us Simone Simons. So NOW there is more positive then negative especially since Nightwish has fallen apart. I WANT TO LIKE NIGHTWISH and for several years I really did and then they just self destructed. I don't know if you have ventured into my channel TOTALY FEM METAL, but I can tell you IT IS MORE FEM METAL THAN YOU'VE EVER KNOWN and is actually the largest repository of that IN THE WORLD on 1 site. OVER 300 BANDS and more to go by about another 100 and I am not joking. People may start off on Nightwish which is ok, but they should really move into some of these other bands because there are ones that totally eclipse them by some measure.

If you're willing, hopefully you can yea or nay them in my second post below this one. I need to comment on Nighwish first. I think Nightwish's primary problem is, and always has been, Tuomas himself. Rumours have always circulated that he's somewhat of a dictator that won't give anyone else leeway on how they want to do things. But I think some of his die-hard fans need to share the responsibility as well. They keep calling him the "Mozart of Metal" and his ego has only ballooned since then. 🙄 I'm not trying to mean here, but I don't see anything that makes him a Mozart. He has talent, sure. But, there are a lot of talented composers and musicians. Someone like Arjen Lucanssen appears to have far more acumen in the musical arena than Tuomas does given that he makes music that can slide into Symphonic, Progressive, and Power Metal with numerous side projects to explore different sides of the genre. (I really enjoyed the first couple Stream of Passion albums, though I think he only worked on the first) Commercialization isn't always bad. A band does have to make money to survive. But that aspect needs to be reigned in or it gets out of control. In Tuomas case, his greed really makes him a hypocrite. He accused Marcelo and Tarja of only wanting money, then what does he do? He blindsided his former friend, makes her do a concert while ill, then has her fired and makes it public to MARKET the last concert for money as he dragged her reputation through the mud. Even if Tarja was as bad as he claimed, that move was disgusting and unprofessional. Tarja clearly pointed that out. Personally, I think her solo career has been the best thing for her. And Anette...they did the same thing treating her as disposable. I've only just heard some Dark Element songs a few days ago. But apparently she was paired with another musician by a producer and I'm always skeptical when that happens and it doesn't come together naturally. The songs sound good though. Anyways, the next post will be back to Edenbridge as this has gotten long.
Their music is great and also is her voice!! Such an underrated talent proof is just play their songs without watching the video because their videos dont make any justice to their music.
