01:14 Guadalupe Bridge, Northbound 01:37 SM Megamall - I remember it was only half-finished around this time (basement was closed, 1st to 3rd floor only open and Mega A, just started working at Tektite in Ortigas fresh out of University) 02:33 The EDSA Shrine still has that golden hue in the morning. I always walk past it going to work, as the POEA Bldg. was the dropoff point of California Bus Line (yellow bus). Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Time really flies so fast. I was just finding my place around the corporate world during the time this video was taken; now I'm retired with 3 grandkids haha!

Waw, bagong bago pa ang Megamall at Shang on this video. I remember nakapasok kami sa Megamall noon with my Mom and Dad kasama yung little sister ko, mga 1 month pa lang ata yun since its opening nung 1991. It was my first time to hear a live band performance. The song was "I'll Wait for You" performed by a local band named Hayp. I was on my fifth grade then. Memories.
Ahh the famous GE and NIKE billboard. Kingofkings pa yun lagi nasasakyan namin or colombus o kaya naman metro bus pag ordinary.

Don't mind me, I'm a zoomer trying to identify the places. 0:57 bruh, those buses reminds me of pre-covid congested EDSA 1:16 ...Guadalupe bridge? 1:43 ...is that Megamall? (Megamall was built in 89') I see that the bus terminal extension ain't there yet :obviously) 1:59 it is Megamall, I recognize that building that comes into the scene beside Megamall (it's ADB Headquarters Building) 2:02 and I noticed the disturbing lack of high rises in there lmao 2:06 onwards; oh that building on Robinson's Mall Ortigas was there all alone huh, it looks tall and proud in this video but now it's dwarfed, and there's no MRT 3 but I am surprised that the Ortigas interchange already exists 5:00 Shangri-La Mall, when I first entered that mall I thought it was a new Mall beck in 2018, and the underpass in Shaw Boulevard is there already 5:45 that outer lane the car is driving on is now MRT-3

If only Metro Manila had stricter zoning policies. All these major economic activity centres wouldn’t be too heavily concentrated along one road
NCR has become a traffic nightmare because of centralization and poor urban development

The one on the right is Strata 2000, while on the left is actually the former PhilComCen Building (not Meralco Bldg. as mentioned by the other comment). 😉
Yung mga Belo tarpulin ba kamo? XD
Neon lights were lit AF!
that's all bullshit. everything is fucked now
😂
Love So Right by Bee Gees :)

Don't mind me, I'm a zoomer trying to identify the places.
0:57 bruh, those buses reminds me of pre-covid congested EDSA
1:16 ...Guadalupe bridge?
1:43 ...is that Megamall? (Megamall was built in 89') I see that the bus terminal extension ain't there yet :obviously)
1:59 it is Megamall, I recognize that building that comes into the scene beside Megamall (it's ADB Headquarters Building)
2:02 and I noticed the disturbing lack of high rises in there lmao
2:06 onwards; oh that building on Robinson's Mall Ortigas was there all alone huh, it looks tall and proud in this video but now it's dwarfed, and there's no MRT 3 but I am surprised that the Ortigas interchange already exists
5:00 Shangri-La Mall, when I first entered that mall I thought it was a new Mall beck in 2018, and the underpass in Shaw Boulevard is there already
5:45 that outer lane the car is driving on is now MRT-3
Wow!
SM Megamall started construction in 1989, then first opened in 1991. The time this video was shot, the mall was justVa little over a year old.
i swear, the sun had a different color back in the day...
I watch the driving video well ^ ^
Ganito pala yun EDSA dati walang MRT 3 at lumang bus, kase 2006 ako pinaganak ehh at parang Commonwealth Ave
