It’s unfair to Bugha that you say he has 3 fncs wins and 1 lan win while at the same time you’re saying peterbot has 4 fncs wins and 1 lan win. It makes it seem like Peter has 1 more major tournament win than Bugha, which is simply not true. It’s better to say that both players have 3 NA fncs wins and 1 global lan win.
Also, just a little side note, you said Bugha has 2x 3rd places, when in reality he has 3x 3rd places. One in c2s4, one in c3s2, and one in c5s1. When comparing 2nd and 3rd places to Peterbot, Bugha has been a much more consistent player over time and I’d say a greater player than Peterbot.

Hot take: queasy overtakes bugha spot in the goat debates. He has a similar career with the main differences that he's on a harder region and has better Lan placements.
I agree. However, I also believe he overtakes Tayson as well in that regard. Consider:
(5x EU FNCS) < (3x EU FNCS) + (2x LAN runner-up)
the 3x EU FNCS cancel, leaving us:
(2x EU FNCS) < (2x LAN runner-up)
If you believe a 2nd place on LAN is more impressive than an EU FNCS, you would put Queasy over Tayson as well.
It not fair to say Peterbot is the goat right now because he’s only got 4 fncs wins he is 4th and Bugha is 3rd because he’s got 3 and a World Cup win. Otherwise keep us the goat
To be honest, I think Arkhram and Th0masHD are the best players of all time, Thomas still getting amazing placements after all this time, he played the WC and still getting 2nd on globals, Bugha its the same but the last paclements of Bugha aren't that good in a long time só Thomas can be consideres better than Bugha, and I think Arkhram don't have 10 FNCS because he stop playing, he are better than Epikwhale and after 3 years he still with Epik and Mero with 6 FNCS wins, Thomas and Arkham are so underrated

I feel like tayson whole argument hinges around EU being the hardest region by far, which I don’t think is really true. Thus, I don’t think he’s even in the top 3

@@copicmarker1021 yes, but by how much? When all the EU team came to NA a season ago, non qualed for globals. Of major LANs, Eu has won two (Duo world cup and Kami Setty) and NA has won 3 (Solo world cup and last 2 gobals). NA got 1st and 2nd in esl. Thus, EU has more top tier players bc they are a bigger region…but are the T1s in EU better then the T1s in Na? I say probably not but it’s at least a lot closer then people making the argument for tayson being the goat make it sound

1. the EU teams that came to NA left for a reason. They couldn't make it on EU. They're not exactly the bet representatives here.
2. Yes, NA has more LAN wins. That has nothing to do with which region is harder.
Here's my idea: Peter is fortnite Jesus (out of the convo), NA/EU T1's are about the same, but when it comes to the rest of the player base, the avg. EU player is better. That's where the argument comes from. There are SOOO MANY players, and only a few spots, so your typical tournament player is just better out of necessity.
A side note: look at the top 5's for LANs. It's NA #1... and then the rest are typically EU. IT seems like with the exception of a few players, EU is better at the highest level :D

1: Tayson came to NA and didn’t make it. Tayson is supposed to be the Goat of EU and he couldn’t make it on NA.
2: I agree with you except that I’m not sure if EU average player is better. My theory is that since EU is biggest region, they have the most good players, most bad players, most average players, etc. Since there are more good players, tournaments are probably typically more stacked but idk if the *average* plays is actually that much better. EU also has more players qual to lan so that also helps them be more stacked, although your last argument is probably EU’s strongest. I do think some NA teams na teams have gotten rlly bad luck at lans (acorn + cold in past 2, bugha mero surprise grief in invitational, etc) but that stats are probably more in favor of eu in that category

Next year is gonna be key for GOAT debate. If Peter keeps his dominance, he’s definitely gonna become the GOAT, anyway, here’s my list (and my arguments) :
1. Bugha (consistent GOAT)
2. Tayson (Hardest region, Solo GOAT, most complete)
3. Mero (Controller GOAT, I just thinks the other 2 are 1 step higher)
4. Peterbot (Most dominant performance ever, Greatest prime of all time)
5. Epikwhale (placing since ever, underrated honestly)
6. Queazy (Best igl ever)
7. ThomasHD (King without a crown, best aim in the game)
8. Veno (Most complete player)
Debating goat in an rng game is a bit complicated, also why do we only look at placements, how about looking at how those players performed, looking at things like eliminations, clutch plays etc.

I’m happy you put EpikWhale in here, the argument that they were all on west, still insanely impressive. He also got 3 in wc solos and 12th in wc duos. He won gamers 8 with Malibuca so a language barrier, and got top 5 in zb gamers 8. Global championships of 27th place each time is a bit sad, but he has great achievements
If Koyota has a good year then he might eventually be the Asian goat, but I still think that title goes to Zagou because:
1: he’s tied for the most fncs wins from an Asia player (3)
2: he’s won at least one season in chapters 3, 4, and 5
3: he’s the only Asia player to qualify for Invitational 2022, globals 2023, and globals 2024
Just relating this to American football, I would say Bogga is the Tom Brady and Peter bot is the Patrick Mahomes where is Booga for a long time being considered the goat but now a new challenger coming in trying to take the throne.

Peak (eye test, stats, accomplishments)
Longevity (duration of expected performances, if reasonably expected to go to LAN and you do this would count towards longevity)
Prime (duration of peak or peaks, can have multiple peaks if different roles, igl, fragger, flex etc or regions or game modes)
online performances vs results
lan performances vs results)
Region Tax (europe > NAC > NAE etc)
Game Mode Tax (duos > trio > solo > squad)
Role Tax (tarper, fragger, igl, support/flex etc, winning as a strict support (talking bout you chapix) is less impressive than as a main fragger like C5 Peter usually)
Balance Tax (if you win a FNCS in a less balanced time its less impressive than one more balanced, in a vacuum)
Stat Tax (obviously someone like Pollo the best support wouldve had worse state than someone like Cold but this doesnt mean he was playing worse at LAN, one is a fragger one is not)
Legacy (as much as people dont like this criteria it is important)
Clutch or Aura (either works, you cant be a goat if I cant make an edit on you or show one of one clutches, sorry I dont make the rules)
Portability (this is only a plus and cant be used against a pro, basically versatility the more portable the better the less portable and that wont matter)
Basically all this can narrow down the difference between pros, just gotta choose which categories you care bout more, me personally shit like Performance > Results/Accomplishments is a given, for ex Thomas > Ron even though Ron has a FNCS win and Thomas doesnt, or Region taxing, I’m not moved by your 6 FNCS wins Epik 😭🙏 etc etc (excuse my nerding out 🙏)
