I haven't played volleyball for too long , but I just wanna say that your videos are really helpful and I'm learning a lot from just watching. Thank you so much for posting these videos and keep up the good work!
Hi coach donny, thanks for all of your videos, they have helped me very much. Can you please make a video about how to roll - dive on either sides reaching for the ball with just one hand.
hi coach. I would like to ask for advice. I always close my eyes when spike or block. so I can not hit the ball properly or to guess where your opponent spike. What should I do in order not to be able to see the ball d the air? thank you
very good video you made there but in my opinion you need to turn to the right from your defense position because this way you can watch your team, where the ball goes etc.
Hey coach Donny, my biggest regret is never playing volleyball in high school or college. I just started playing last year (beach volleyball) and I feel like I've already come so far. One thing that I do want to improve is my endurance I notice I tire very easily, do you have any advice or exercises I can incorporate in my routine? I heard running long distances doesn't help since volleyball consists of short and strong bursts of energy
Big disadvantage of turning around is that the ball might be out of sight. I think that most of the time going backwards (e.g. from outside block just go backwards to your spiking approach 'point') will do the work in terms of speed. In most of the pro games I watched (CEV Champions league for example), they don't turn either. But that's just my opinion.
Hello coach Donny, here a coach from Holland of a girls volleyball team in the age of 15-16. How do you get a team sharp and ready for a game? How can you make a warmup that can mentaly prepare a team to give all to a game?
If you are left handed your way is the recommended way. If you're right-handed though it can be very much worth it to relearn it so you end with right-left. It's not a necessity, but you will be able to open up to the setter a lot better.
Jonathan Chang start running once the setter is about to set, so run to the sides, wait for the spiker to get then jump. I don't know the specific footwork but ik that
It's hard to say, but your non hitting arm is probably flailing out wide causing you to swing too much across your body? And there is no substitution for practicing. Some players stand on platform boxes during hitting drills so they can really focus on their upper body (they don't have to worry with jumping or footwork). Make a video and post it on youtube.
hello coach first of all I want to compliment you for the wonderful videos that you make , but I make this comment for another reason. I noticed that when you take the last pass to jump you dont do a perfect vertical jump and at the end of the run you fall a little more forward. When registers focused on your jump and then put it in comparison with the jump of josh and noticing the difference you will understand alone.take this as a tip
Awesome!! I just got listed in my highschool team as an outside hitter and gonna play tomorrow for the first time. This is perfect
Takamichi Soares That's awesome! Good luck for tomorrow 👍🏼👍🏼
Oh thanks!! It sure is, I've only been practicing seriously for a few weeks, one practice a week. I hope it'll be good enough to win
seeing these comments makes me wonder if they still play haha

Hi coach! can you make a video of what role each position should be playing on the team and how they should play together?
very good video you made there but in my opinion you need to turn to the right from your defense position because this way you can watch your team, where the ball goes etc.
Hey Coach. Could you make a video on running a triangle offense with the setter and the middle? I wanted to get this going with my setter.

Coach Donny, how tall are you?
This has been *ASKED* and *ANSWER* many times. If you subscribe I suggest you search his videos and you will find the answer to your question.
about 178 cm
im not saying that you jump low cause it isn't true but if you do the perfect vertical jump you arrive at the point that nothing block you.
sir, I'm a setter so I have to learn the secret signs of setter to smashers.
it's interesting that in the real game Donny doesn't take his eyes off the ball during transition but in the demo he looks away ...c'mon man!! 😆
