Short anwser to the title is, yes. Yes we are poor now. Propably because of the lumber industry and other exchanges with Russia that have stopped. And now all the great things that Finland had are lost, and the poor are the ones who are suffering the worst blow from the crisis. Businesses are closing and it is visible that crisis is ahead and only starting. Politicians are living in their own world apart from the rest.

This sounds really familiar to most of the western europe countries. Politicians live in a separate world compared to the average people. And migration is also a big part of the problem...

The climate changes affected Finland too. Now we have the record of having the hottest summer ever. Now in September we still have very warm days.

A Nordic country that borders Scandinavian countries. My question is can NATO afford not to have them secure their border?

Unfortunately I don't have the answer to that... But must admit it's a very good question 🤔

I make 67000€/year. From that money government takes 45 000€. Yet it takes 6 months to get so called "free" dental care.

I'm Finn-born. Finland strengthened (industrially) under the Russian tsar-time (it was a good time) and then became autonomous 1917.
    EU-nato eats up Finland.

It was a good time in the beginning. Later Russia tried to russify Finland. Luckily no success. Finland still is a prosperous Nordic country with a high standard of living.
Great to be in NATO and EU. Haven't you followed the news. Russia invaded Ukraine. Terrible things are going on there.

We should stop taking on debt and feeding the unemployed, we need drop socialism, lower taxes, cut the social security system and also strive to be genuine and more pure capitalism in Finland. Nordic socialism, or social democracy, doesn't work and has failed. And if we don't change the course in Finland, we will be we are treated like Greece was treated and it will be as bad for us as it was for Greece.

All the Nordic countries are at the top being the most prosperous countries in the world. They have not failed.
      Look at the statistics.

Do you mean you want to stop feeding around 1/5th of the population? Oh, cool. Maybe go read some history about how our social security was born, and think again. You might have a rich daddy but most of us do not. Ps. The unemployment benefit is less than 20% of all benefits budget.
