I'm pretty sure they changed the rules recently. Hits with your feet or legs weren't counted as legitimate saves, but now they are.

So long as your foot doesn't kick the ball, you're fine to make this move. If your foot touches it then it's not allowed.

I had no idea they were allowed to kick the ball in volleyball. I remember as a kid playing volleyball in school and we weren't allowed to kick the ball. Must be nice 🤣
ppl typically say to not kick volleyballs bc you’ll break the inside but in a game you can hit the ball with any part of your body you just can’t hit it upwards with a flat palm
Generally when you kick the volleyball, it just goes crazy. It is usually a last resort

@@l.c.8798 It may depend on where you played. Where I played, kicking the volleyball was allowed but it usually did not work out well which gave the other team the point so we generally try to avoid kicking it at all costs.

But you’re not allowed to actually kick though. You’re only allowed to do exactly what she did in the video - use the momentum from the ball to use your foot as a save

Yeah, it's pretty crazy how much ground she had to make up to get to that ball. And not only get to it, but get enough of her foot behind it to kick it backwards instead of forwards.

This particular match was literally how I learned that it's not against the rule to use your feet in volleyball games. 😂
And now I'm scared about checking whether playing the ball with one's hands is allowed in footvolley.
@Dw L.c.k. It's not. Since 1999 it's allowed to hit the ball with any body part, prior to that only above the waist.
@Dw L.c.k. any body part rule because the smash from the opponent going too fast and can easily hit their face, shoulder, etc. So it will not be fair if it's a score because of it.
And if this rule isn't there, the opponent will try to hit their body part.
So now we can expect double-fients and headers into the other side. Nice

In volleyball as long as the ball makes contact with a part of the body it’s legal. You just can’t hold it.
This reminds me of that haikyuu moment where the Libero saves it with his foot because he can’t move his body fast enough. Really cool!

They can but only once when the ball is in their court and when the ball returns back to their court,the same goes.
Our coach doesn't even allowed to punch the ball stronger. He was more likely to save the school's property.

Haikyuu is actually surprisingly accurate!! Ofc it's exaggerated for impact but most if not all plays are based on real ones. The most inaccurate part is teens doing some of them but hey, it's fiction lmao
