Great presentation .. Where is the fire ldr located ? Or how can i disconnect it . Have the problem with engraving shiny metal .. I know I can paint it black ...I always stay with my machine while its engraving and its on an outside covered terras.

My Longer Ray 5W 10w decided to catch fire today. Things totally gone the whole Laser was engulfed in flames. I had only left the room ten minutes. Wasn't even 2 weeks old. So much for their fire detection..

That is horrendous! I hope you and everyone around is OK and the fire was extinguished quickly. That is a terrible experience.

I like your reviews and you seem very experienced and knowledgeable about lasers. I would like your advice please. I have zero experience with lasers but I think one could be useful in my knife making hobby, especially for engraving a makers mark. I watched your Creality falcon 10 w review and your Longer Ray 5 10W reviews. Both look terrific. Creality is on sale now for $255 reduced from $359.The Longer Ray 5 10W is also on sale now for $320, down from $519. Which one do you think would be best for me considering my inexperience and main use putting a makers mark on steel knives and maybe decorating the leather sheaths ?? Ease of use and short learning time are important to me also. Functionality and good customer support are also impirtant. Please offer your advice. Thank you.

First thing to do: Make a bracket or clip to mount that 5cm cylinder somewhere on the machine itself.

Great idea, that would be a perfect first project.

Just 3D Print a cylinder holder to attach right up front next to the control panel!!! 🤗

$320 right now from Amazon or directly from Longer. That made my decision pretty easy...
