I was interested to see this review of what Jetstar Business currently offers, and I must say I thought it was a very decent product at an incredibly good price. Thanks for posting Jayden.
But we got it on a nicer plate! Or box I think it was. Only flew Jetstar business two days ago and I already forget, such was the flight so forgettable.
Great video, Jayden! I was surprisingly impressed by JetStar’s business class product. The service looked really nice. I didn’t know you could also order off the economy menu as well. That’s a nice perk.
Hi Jayden , how comfortable are the jetstar business seats , was the incline enough for you to sleep. Great video , I booked Sydney to Hnl business bundle
Jetstars Business Class product looks fantastic. I did not expect that after a couple of friends were flying with them a few weeks back. They did not mention any positive aspect about their experience :D Glad you enjoyed your flight more than my friends. Thank you for your fantastic review Jayden :)
Great review Jayden! JQ looks a really solid middle ground option for those who want a pretty good upgrade to their usual economy experience but don't need the excesses of luxury and the lie flat beds of the traditional carriers and want to save $$$$s in the process - the difference when comparing with Virgin's and QF's 737's and their recliner seats make it even more negligible! .For $800 you got a real steal! 🙂
Are we talking about scoot Biz ( or Premium) as they call it now? Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe you can accrue QF frequent flyer points on Jetstar Business flights...
Scoot charged me 22SGD for a 300mL mineral water. I was like what? And flight crew gave me the "You peasant" look. Damn you pay less to get attitude lol.
Yes, but I think you have purchase the "full bundle " fare. Whereas with scoot, no matter how much you pay, you cannot accrue KrisFlyer points with Singapore airlines, yet Singapore Airlines WILL bundle in a Scoot flight where they can, for exam0,e if you’re flying from Melbourne-Phuket via Singapore, they might bundle in a Scoot flight from SIN -HKT. You will get Kris flyer points, but your paying a full service carrier price' but flying & getting Budget carrier service.
Great trip report mate! It was a good looking dinner especially given it was well after 11pm Ho Chi Minh city time. The seats are looking in good condition especially given their age.
Sounds like they're using the Singapore based crew for this flight as well. I am so excited and cannot wait, I am flying them next week SYD-ICN in JCL. Seat 1A! The last seat available when I booked. Woo hoo.... JQ JCL is surprisingly very decent for the price, I think. I actually found the catering to be very top notch.
The crew was telling me all about the catering haha. Apparently it’s Vietnam Airlines catering from Ho Chi Minh and Thai Airways from BKK/HKT and they’re always good!
I just flew the same leg on Jetstar business only last week. I can say that the service is great, if the flight is always on time. My flight was delayed until 4:00 AM, which make this flight horrendous even with all the great service provided by the airline.
HI Jayden. It looks like you found a decent Jetstar flight and service. One tends to hear all the time about stuff-ups with their flight. Pretty lousy conditions at the airport before y flew out though.
Nice job as always, Jayden! Jetstar should thank you for the great publicity you've given them. Food and service look great. Are you aware whether your videos help or hurt airlines? You're always pretty kind and mild with criticisms, but you always make your points. For my part, if business or premium economy tickets were as reasonable as Jetstar's, I'd purchase them regularly. Reading your response to an earlier comment, I'm dismayed at people's behavior, taking up four seats to lie down when others have nowhere to sit. There should be fines for rudeness. All the best to you!
Thanks Britt!! I don’t know! But I hope my videos help the airlines because I don’t want to hurt anyone and become hated haha I would take a few seats too but only if the area was empty. Some people came down after me and had to stand the whole time :/

another great report Mr Wong, shame JQ doesn't provide lounge access at Ho Chi Minh, strange given they have daily flight to Australia? Looking forward to new and fascinating trip reports in 2023
BiJayden. Great review. The rear of your Business class seat looked a bit grubby around the edges of the entertainment screen. Business class is only great if the Jetstar flight takes off on time! Didn’t know you can get Qantas lounge Access if you purchase a full Bundle fare for Business class. You certainly wouldn’t get that with Scoot a biz /or Premium as they call it now?
Scoot call it ScootPlus now, in other words, premium economy. That's what I like about Jetstar, lounge access for Qantas club members and if you've purchased the bundle.
Sorry but that is, by no measure, a great business class. No lounge, no lie flat seat, basic meals, plastic cups, a lesser baggage allowance. You get what you pay for and you might, in J* case, get there on time.
You might like to consider flying with Air AsiaX. Their Premium Flatbed Seat option comes with 40 kg luggage allowance and a complimentary meal. Surprisingly, although it's better than the offerings on Jetstar and Scoot they choose not to call it business class.
There were secondary screening when flying from Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia to Australia. However, there was no extra screening at gate for flights between mainland China and Australia. I wonder what is the reason behind this?
I went business to HCMC/Melbourne.. there and back. I found it pretty shit. They won’t even let you have an extra meal if you’re really hungry. You get a tiny bag of pretzels.
